Went to castle nail bar for my 2nd time and today I got dip nails done there for the first time. I've done dip several times before at other salons and thought I would try them since it was close to my house and now regretting it. The tech I got was rude, I think her name was phoebe. I showed her a picture of the color I wanted- natural and opaque nails and I wanted my nails long and asked her not to make it thick. I got exactly everything I didn't wAnt. A solid color, short and thick nails. When she was using the drill she also cut me and it started bleeding and stung when she had to put acetone to remove my other nails. When I asked her questions about the color since it didn't seem like she understood, she seemed very annoyed and mumbled something in Vietnamese under her breath. I showed her the pic of the nails I wanted a couple times and as a professional she should know a similar color/ look. When I went to pay I also got charged an extra $5 for "shaping" . Aren't they supposed to shape your nails when you get them done??! Never going back here. Not paying $65 for a horrible experience and to get everything I asked them not to do while getting rude service. She didn't even ask if I liked it or even let me know I was done. She just got up and went to her next appt. I had to ask someone else if I was done. Dont go here! read more

The service here is amazing--the people providing the services are amazing. They are fast and efficient and kind. However, the front desk manager can be rude and dismissive. We had two difficult interactions with her. It creates an unwelcoming environment. This nail bar provides a form where you can indicate the services you would like as well as complementary drinks. If you accidentally miss a box on the form or check something incorrectly, the front desk manager can become quite mean and intimidating. I'm sure she is very busy and has a lot of handle, but it can create a stressful start to what is supposed to be a relaxing experience. Our nails however turned out AMAZING. read more

Very disappointing overall. They have a nice vibe and I liked the deluxe upgrades for my mani/pedi, but the pedicure technician did a half-hearted job at best. My feet are still callused (and I take care of my feet so it wouldn't hade been hard to clean them up). After I approved the color I stopped paying attention while she was painting my toes and when I looked, the polish was streaky and clumpy. I said the polish was obviously not good and she blamed it on my nails, which have never been an issue. She redid them with a different polish, but they still look just ok. I watched more closely on my fingers and that polish was bad too. She chose an alternative and I said yes but after it dried it was much more peachy than the neutral light pink I was going for. The manicurist was very sweet but she got white lotion all over my black clothes. It might have been on the pillow she put on my lap. Then they clearly forgot that I had also booked a brow wax so I was waiting 15 minutes before I finally had to remind them. The wax job was good, but she didn't clean the skin first! I wanted to like this place but I definitely will not be back. read more

Maybe it's just me but when I go to pick a color for non shellac, I expect some sort of order in how the colors are arranged. It's clear to me that they don't care and colors are just on the shelf randomly. It took me forever to pick a shade that I ultimately didn't want but felt enormous pressure to pick something because they were in a hurry to start. I called Castle Nail Bar for a day of manicure appointment and they were extrodinary!! I wanted to get my nails done for a couple of events three weeks apart, so I wanted something that would last and look great, and boy did they deliver! I asked about the ombre dip option. It was my first time and the team, especially my nail artist Mini and the receptionist Quyen, were so helpful in getting me exactly what I wanted. The entire experience was wonderful and I will recommend this location to everyone I know! I'm writing this review two weeks after getting my nails done to see how they hold up, and they still look incredible (picture with hand on green book). The lady at the front desk told me to leave my hydroflask in my car, but I don't drive so then she told me to leave it outside. I didn't wanna leave it anywhere out of site because hydroflasks are $40+. I poured my water out and she said it was okay to bring inside at that point. I wish I was prefaced the COVID guidelines before I got into the appointment if it was this big of an issue. The French mani/pedi I got was done so beautifully! Update 08/17/2020: Came about 1.5 hrs before closing and got in for 2 pedicures without an appointment! They've got new rules in place for covid and if you are not getting service done, you cannot be inside the shop. I LOVE when people take their time on my pedicures and they definitely do- for the regular pedicure, Lan took around 40 minutes which was exactly what I was looking for. I hate paying a lot when it's just a quick in and out 20 minute pedi. *GRAND OPENING REVIEW* My friends told me to come here today because they had their grand opening special! Free manis and pedis but I was going in for an acrylic gel full set. Even though my service wasn't free I still came up BECAUSE YA GIRLS' FULL SET WAS ONLY $31.50! (W/o tip). The space is amazing, waterfalls, chandeliers, and when it says CASTLE nail bar, you're really like a royal in a castle. Their customer service was also great, I didn't feel like there were any hiccups in service at all. So I have been here at least a dozen times and it's completely hit or miss. I've gotten some of the best gel manicures but also equally I've gotten some of the worst. It's very expensive and worth it when they do good but they have so many employees you really don't know what you're gonna get. My most recent gel pedicure chipped in last then a week too. You get free drinks altho half the time they forget to bring it to you. Expect $45+ for a gel mani, $55+ for dip mani & $65-75+ for gel pedicure. I personally have decided even after coming so many times not to come back. Also they don't know how to do designs so if you're looking for that definitely go elsewhere. read more

So bummed by my first experience here at Castle Nails - maybe I got an inexperienced tech as my friend recommended I try this place. I got a manicure yesterday, less than 24 hours, multiple nails have chipped (as shown in photos below). On top of that, my nails were over drilled from my previous gel polish removal and now my nail beds are sensitive when I apply slight pressure, a chunk of skin on my thumb was cut off and started bleeding during cuticle trimming, and my nails are square instead of my request for round nails. Also, I never got my complimentary beverage which I was really excited for when I saw it on the form. I unfortunately cannot recommend this place and taking my friend to my usual nail salon instead. read more

This place gets high marks for it's ambiance and appearance - however the staff is unpleasant. I've been there twice and had problems each time. First time, the staff member rushed our son (his treatment took less time than ours) so that they could use the chair for another guest. Except the other guest never materialized. My son felt treated badly and for no purpose. Second time, they didn't have our reservations and kept on asking if we had made a reservation. Literally, they asked us 5 times. It was clear that they didn't have it in their books. Stuff happens - I get it - but at these prices, I would expect a nicer treatment. Regardless of how this place looks, it's not worth the hassle. The salon does a fine job but lacks transparency. The first time I went, I got a dip manicure. The total price was $42 + tip, so about $50. I was very satisfied with the experience and my nails lasted six weeks without a single chip. I then went back when it was time to get my nails done again and received the exact same service (one color dip manicure, no design). This time, I was appalled to be charged $65 for the EXACT same service, for a total with tip of about $77. I was told I was being charged for the dip powder PLUS a manicure. When I went to look at the menu again for what constitutes a "classic manicure," I did not receive many of the services that were supposed to be included - no heat mitts, no hand massage, etc. I cannot fathom why I was charged $77 for a regular dip manicure, especially after being charged a much more reasonable price the first time around. Also, this second time, the dip manicure lasted only two weeks before starting to chip and discolor. They do a nice job here with nails, but for $77 I will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

I can't believe what an amazing value this place offers, for all of the pampering and spa options they provide. I came as a walk-in during a busy time and they were able to fit me in for a deluxe manicure. I have exceptionally dry skin and I pick at my cuticles when they crack. I've been in pain for days with bleeding cuticles and needed some help. Mya did a WONDERFUL job on my hands! I feel as if my hands are brand new. She trimmed, massaged, polished, and painted my nails to perfection. The best part was that it was completely painless. Despite the cuts and cracks in my cuticles and nails, Mya made the entire grooming process completely pain-free! My hands are beautiful and soft now, with no jagged edges or discomfort. The deluxe manicure included a sugar scrub, massage, hot stones, paraffin wax, oil rub, and polish. It was a wonderful value for the price. Mya was attentive and very sweet. Additionally, the ambiance at this location is beautiful. High backed chairs, flat screen TVs, plenty of massage chairs and beautiful chandeliers. This is a beautiful location for a treat yourself mani pedi. I've gotten pedicures here a few times and it's a great experience. There are so many colors to choose from, complimentary drinks (fountain soda/margaritas/wine/mimosa) and comfy massage chairs. This last time I decided to add on a manicure after I booked the appointment (you have to call-no online portal) and they were able to quickly accommodate me. TL:DR Not bad but expensive and disorganized. Check-in is total chaos and the staff are too busy and frantic to get anything right. They ask if this is your first visit but then get annoyed if it is and you actually have questions because their paperwork is confusing. You're lucky to get a word in between them taking phone calls. Seriously, I cannot overstate what a mess the check-in/pick-a-color process is even if you are the first appointment of the day and get there on time. After surviving the front desk, they got the finger and toe colors wrong that were written in my paperwork. Because I had never had dip before, I thought maybe the blue that was being painted on my nails was some sort of base. Three fingernails in, I asked about it and then they realized their mistake. Cue the non-English muttering. Then they noticed that they'd also given me the wrong color for my toes but luckily it was before the color was applied. The shellac I got on my toes was absolutely perfectly applied, no complaints there at all. "Kelly" was fantastic and she did a beautiful job. She was friendly and professional and I would specifically ask for her next time. No pain at all when dealing with my cuticles or callouses. Even 3+ weeks later, my toes still look perfect. The fingernail tech had no name tag so I don't know who she was but she was not cool. She handled the mix up with the color very poorly and was just not nice to deal with. Very painful manicure and more removal with the dremel than seemed necessary. My nails still really hurt the next day. They are very thin and rough now after removing the dip. The place itself is very clean and the tools are treated in an autoclave. The massage chairs were nice and functional. The complimentary beverage was also a nice treat. The cost seemed very high, though - for basic mani + dip and basic pedi + shellac toes it was almost $100 before tip. I'm still confused about all of that and I'm pretty sure I paid for treatments I didn't get. No one could explain what I was charged for when I was trying to pay. They kept pointing to the form but the form said the pedi included a paraffin treatment but I definitely didn't get one. Their website wasn't helpful in figuring it out after the fact, either. All in all, it's only slightly better than the typical nail place. It is definitely not a spa experience or relaxing, though, it's a high-volume nail factory but I appreciate that they have upgraded decor. If they could get their front desk more organized, it would go a long way to avoiding confusion and questionable charges. read more
