She eventually admitted that it was my nail, but instead of apologizing, she implied it was the fault of how my nails looked. I can overlook bad customer service and even mediocre quality, but this was beyond that. Weeks later and my toe nails are still recovering because she did it at the bottom. She did this to two of my toe nails and the one pictured is the worst; I'm censoring because I don't like showing my toes. I would actively not recommend.

Nail fungus is no joke. But I held my breath and didn't say anything. The nails did come out beautiful. But with a price tag of $150 before tip I was quite shocked. I payed, tipped and left. The next morning I woke up and my fingers hurt and itched. I gave it a couple days hoping it would go away, but it didn't. They have started to get swollen, red and still very itchy. I called them and let them know I was having a reaction and the response was "and what would you like us to do?" I was shocked that this was their response, and I said I didn't know because I had never had any kind of reaction before, so I was hoping they could tell me what I should do in this situation. Her response was "well if it's really bad you can just remove them." Completely unacceptable customer service. They couldn't even offer to remove them? It's been less than a week and for the price that was paid? I'd steer far away from this business, even if the nails look good. The health of your body is more important. And clearly your health and wellness is not something they are concerned with.

I believe we still had a minute or two before our appointment time so next time I'd appreciate it if we weren't rushed to our seats when choosing a color. Those proceeded and I waited until a soaking bowl was placed on the table and I assumed at 3:35 PM the technician would start but no, I was asked to move from the station I was sitting in and not use the soaking dish she had placed there. I said she had made an appointment with my husband for 3:00PM when would she start. The other walkin party had some priority. There were apparently seven people and most were having addons that were valuable to the business more than the manicure for handcare with no polish. I moved to the station I was asked to move to and waited again for 15 minutes. Then once again the receptionist came and asked me to move again at 3:50PM. Right after the person who was to do my manicure had a request for "diamonds in her polish". At that point the receptionist came to me and asked me to move again and then came back in 5 mnutes and sad this is not working so we want to mae an appointment with you for another day?????? So your request that I come back at 3PM - an hour ago. . . meant nothing? Humiliated and belittled by manager who asked that I move 3 times. . . BTW I walk with a cane and I am not a screen ready lady but I am a customer and trying to be patient and cooperative and deserve respect even though my service was small it was needed and never performed. I've been to the Herbal Nail Spa in Renton and they do a fantastic job, but this location is awful. I got a pedicure (which was great!), but a different technician did my Gel-X and she should not have been doing that. She lacked the skills, and worse, when I said something about the tips being applied crooked, she shrugged and told me that "my nails were crooked" and that's just how it was. I had asked for a basic straight stripe design, and the design was applied poorly. Again, when I said something, she told me it was because my nails were too short. The nails did stay on without chipping or lifting for two weeks. I think they would have stayed longer, but I couldn't look at them any longer (I actually used polish at home to paint over the bad design!). I went and had them removed at the Renton location. It's now been 10 weeks, and the damage done to my nails when they were applied is almost grown out. I've had Gel-X applied before with some minimal damage, but the aggressive filing before these were applied was over the top. I wasn't going to leave a review because some businesses go through a hard transition, but I emailed the Herbal Nail Spa through their website, with photos, to let them know how poorly the technician had done, and I didn't hear anything back, so alas, public review it is.

I was greeted at the door, welcomed in as a walk in and immediately taken care of by the best nail tech I could have asked for. She knew how to maintain the builder gel journey that have been on, for natural healthy nails, she provided me with even more knowledge on the how I should lean toward keeping my nails stronger while growing and not to mention how friendly and accommodating she way while working on my nails. I was given some water, tissues for my waterworks lol, and a delicious snack. Even got a bit more than I asked for turns out she's a great listener as well.
