Came to Floyd's for a nice sit down lunch yesterday, it went great. I haven't been in a while, so I thought it would be nice to return. I ordered a personal pizza called the Classic Pep with some breadsticks with marinara and a drink. The breadsticks were basically a 10 inch cheese pizza with more dough and less cheese, but they were still pretty good. The pizza came about five minutes later and the personal pizza was a tiny pizza, maybe around seven to eight inches, and the pizza was good, but not too great for its small size. Still had leftovers, though. Service was good. When someone comes into here, they have to look at the menu upfront and order at the counter, find a seat of their choice and fill their drink and then it goes from there. Pretty simple. Floyd's seems to be a Stubborn soda fan, which I approve of. The man at the counter actually recommended the breadsticks, and now I realize that the pizza isn't enough to fill me or most anybody. It's mostly an at-the-counter style service, except they bring the food to you. Inside was great. The entrance is a little tight, but there's two sides of the restaurant and I sat down in the right side from the door, so I can't say about the left side. One of my favorite things inside was the drink machine had those levers on it, it just felt much better to pull that for drinks than pushing a button. Overall, Floyd's is a great place to eat for everyone. The food is good, the service is great, and inside is comfy and wooden. One thing I would hope for Floyd's is to make their pizza bigger, their personal pizzas are much like those kid menu pizzas. I'll probably try a sandwich next time. Thank you. read more

Ordered two pulled pork sandwiches. The smell walking into this restaurant is amazing! But...the pork is dry; the bun is buttery and fresh but there's more bread than pork. Thank goodness for the BBQ sauce that is included but it isn't homemade rather from a jar. The gem in the restaurant! The sliced baked potatoes that are fried covered in cheese; jalapeño, onions, we choice smoked sausage, and topped with sour cream. It was happy hour and plenty of for two. Absolutely delicious. Ordered a chopped beef sandwich. Service was very slow - waited approximately 15 minutes for my order. The restaurant at that time had maybe 8 tables occupied. The meat was sliced "something" but not brisket, and not chopped. Very fatty. It took me a few bites to realize this. I've eaten here several times and the quality has been declining upon each visit. Today I order brisket. It was dry and clearly had been on the smoker way too long. The meat was almost crispy, not what one would anticipate for smoked brisket. read more

Was recommended by local work associates. 3 of us from Phoenix area stopped in after work for dinner. Had brisket sandwiches, a big salad with brisket, basket of fried okra. Pizza is always good My son ordered the brisket mac n cheese. Pasta was over cooked and mushy and brisket was as dry as jerky. Got an attitude when we let the server know. She said to let her know if nobody else wants it so food isn't being wasted. If paying $16 for a bowl, I'd expect better. read more

These ribs are NOT as good as the ones I smoke at home BUT they are excellent ribs from a restaurant. Best restaurant ribs I have had in a long time. I ordered the half rack and should have ordered the whole rack. Give them a try, I think you'll really like them. read more

Whilst eating at either the pizza side or the barbecue side, staff constantly gave stink eye toward my party; the restaurant is frequent by police officers, which gives a Gestapo ambience/atmosphere; all of this negativity, and the high cost of the menu left me wondering why I went there three times. read more

I've eaten BBQ all over and Floyd's is better than most I have tried. The brisket was fall-apart tender with a nice smoke ring and the pulled pork was delicious just like it came from Tennessee, which is where the owners started barbecuing years ago before they resettled to Kingman. They use hickory like they did in Tennessee even though it is very expensive to import to Arizona. But that's the right way to BBQ pork so they use hickory. We had the potato salad and cole slaw sides which were both excellent. One side of the business is pizza and the other side is BBQ, a very unique idea I have not seen anywhere else. We didn't go to the pizza side but the BBQ side is decorated very tastefully with items you would expect to see in a country BBQ place. They have a very unique and creative outdoor seating area that was very inviting. The owners were very friendly and the staff was very attentive. considering the other options in the Kingman Historic District, I think Floyd and Company is the top pick. read more

I have had my fair share of BBQ. It's one of my fave cuisines so I have certain expectations. This is not it! It is however the only BBQ place in town. The food is pricey for regular BBQ. I paid a little over $18 for a 1 meat plate which consisted of pulled beef brisket (not sliced), mac n cheese, baked beans and cornbread. The cornbread was too dry, the mac n cheese and brisket lacked seasoning. The baked beans however was really good. First, the person that took our order acted like he needed to be somewhere else. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and 1/4 lb of pulled pork plate with baked beans, redneck nachos, and a lemon custard dessert. Our food comes out and it's a half pound of pulled chicken with a slice of white bread, my baked beans tasted like out of can pork and beans...you could taste the can. We told the person that brought out our food that the order was wrong and it was like deer in the headlights..she looked confused about what to do next. Honestly the pulled pork lacked flavor and even putting bbq sauce on it didn't help but I ate mine because I was hungry. The pulled pork nachos are good. The cheese and all the fixings enhance the tasteless pulled pork. Will never eat here again. We ordered pizza on the pizza side and it is great. Wood fired..crust has a good chew; they used cup pepperoni on the pizza. Would recommend the pizza but would encourage them to stick to pizzas. This place has been in kingman for over a decade. I've been eating here since they've opened. They've been through some name changes and have added to their restaurant the brick fire pizzeria. The quality is impeccable and consistent. The prices are very high and portions are small but super delicious and worth the visit. This is the only badass BBQ in town. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner he was super sweet and helpful. I took my kids and I here on numerous occasions. The brick fire pizza is mouth watering just like their BBQ. Would recommend just don't expect the crazy American style portions. They have more of a European vibe type of food portions which is fine with me because the quality and consistency is where it's at and they've got it all. read more

This is the place in town for great BBQ. I always get the brisket but the pork is also good. I am pretty sure the Mac and cheese is Stauffer's brand so I would suggest a different side. The menu is not fully displayed and you have to ask to get 1/4 pound of meat. The staff is nice and service is pretty fast. The vibe is fun and the dining room and bathrooms are clean. Believe it or not, this is one of the few places in downtown that is open later during the week and has free wifi. My kids have classes nearby in the evenings, so I try to get work done while I'm waiting for them, which requires wifi, an outlet, and a location to hunker down for an hour or so. Tried the nearby coffee shop, juice bar, & deli cafe, but they were all closed. Didn't stop by the wine bar as I didn't want to feel obligated to buy an alcoholic drink. However, I heard that they have a good vibe there too. I'm grateful to Floyd's staff as they are very friendly about grabbing a snack and table to use for a short time. Also, their food turnaround time is fast, which I'm sure would be longer on a busy night. Thank you Floyd's for a downtown spot to frequent! P.S. Their pork rinds are unpretentiously delicious.
