Little lasagna was extremely good with an excellent mix of cheese meat pasta and sauce. This Italian salad dressing is amazing it tastes like it was homemade with flavor that compliments everything. We even put the dressing on the lasagna to kick it up a notch. The service was phenomenal. Even though there was a not a seat available in the entire restaurant both inside and out, the wait staff took care of our table and we didn't miss a thing. Nothing like finding a little gem with an at home feeling to it. This was our first time at Catalano's Pizzeria. The food was amazing, and the best part is that the food is made to order, you can't get any fresher than that! I got the spinach and mushrooms tortellini with Alfredo sauce. Focaccia worth fighting for, this place being on my regular route to HEB is such a temptation lol. It's a cozy little spot on Main Street, a couple places for street parking and a large lot right across the way, easy to stroll in and grab a table. They have a daily special that runs for I think $12.99ish, salad, whatever their pasta of the day is, and a huge slice of focaccia, you just can't go wrong. On this day a sudden craving for Italian cuisine and it just so happens that I was near Cibolo, and my craving was quenched with Catalano Pizzeria. Upon arriving you notice that the restaurant is in a quaint little building, but entering you see a cozy room, with a view of the fish tank, but that view is deceiving because they offer a second area that can entertain a large party and also when the weather is comfortable there is seating in the patio area. But before continuing I must mention that you are treated kindly by the personnel inside upon entering. But as always the most important aspect of a restaurant is the food, this place will not disappoint. Viewing the menu you can see a good selection of dishes from appetizers, desserts and main courses. To start my experience, I chose "Catalanos Italian Bread Bites" they are absolutely amazing little bread bites and they are accompanied by a great tasting sauce. My main dish was an absolutely delicious "Stromboli" l, the preparation and delivery were top notch. The variety of meats and the sauce gave this dish a unique flavor. We visited Catalano in Cibolo for a date night and--rookie mistake--we ordered pasta dishes without realizing this place is known for its pizza. While the pasta wasn't bad, it was just okay. But as we were leaving, we saw the pizzas coming out and instantly had order regret. They looked absolutely incredible! What really stood out, though, was the amazing service and clean, welcoming environment. You can truly feel the love the owner has for this place--he was walking around talking to guests, making everyone feel at home. It made the whole experience feel personal and warm. The Italian bread bites were our favorite part of the meal--soft, flavorful, and so good. We will definitely be back--and next time, we're going all in on the pizza. Today is Pi Day so I decided to try some local pizza while out running around. I was in Cibolo at an appointment and I looked for pizza near me. This place was right up the street. I have passed it a hundred times and never knew it was there. It is easy to overlook the restaurant. I walked in and was greeted before I could even close the door. This is a very homely restaurant, with no frill or expensive decor. However, it was welcoming and comfortable. I sat down and the cheerful waiter brought me a menu and took my drink order. Since this was my first time, I asked for a few minutes. The customer at the table in front of me turned around and let me know that also have daily specials on the chalkboard. That was so nice of her, you can tell she was a regular. They have a lot of regulars who frequent the spot. The napkin holder has a kid's picture on it, so homey. That's a good sign. I opted for a small order of hot wings and a personal Catalano specialty pizza. The wings looked like regular hot wings but for some reason they were sooo good. I don't know what they did but I tore them up. Then the pizza arrived. This couldn't have been a personal-size pizza. It was definitely bigger than that but I am not complaining. Just letting you know so you can be prepared. It was full of toppings. The only issue I had with the pizza was that the bell peppers needed to be cut smaller. They were in big pieces so I had to cut them so they would stay on the pizza. All the ingredients were fresh. The pizza sauce needed a little salt but I just sprinkled a little on my pizza slices. The crust was thin, crispy, and delicious. I love a crunchy crust. Overall I enjoyed my food and the wonderful service. The stuffed pizza was stupendous, the service was horrendous. The service was that poor and I just had carry out. FYI the menu price on Yelp is off by 50% or more. The person laughed at me then said the price listed must be 10 years old or more and they had no idea. I can't buy that in this day and age. No manager ever came out to say anything about, as I was handed my food in the front someone from the kitchen yelled that they made it a large instead of a medium. Not helpful since I was eating alone, and of no consolation because the pizza was made well before it was ever known to have any pricing discrepancy. Small restaurant with big flavor. The hospitality and generosity the staff provided was phenomenal. There stuffed pizza fulfilled my craving and the crust was so fresh and crispy, you could eat that by itself and be happy. My wife raved about the flavor of their chicken alfredo fettuccini. UM WOW??? First off, what an unassuming building. Like so unassuming that me and my fiancé could not find the front door at first. HA. We chose Catalano's for this week's date night because we were both craving some cheesy carby deliciousness. The mozzarella sticks? *chef's kiss* They had just the right amount of breading to cheese while also having tons of flavor. In addition, the marinara sauce served with the mozz was equally flavorful. Quite possibly the best mozzarella sticks I've had in a looooooooooong time. My fiancé got a heaping portion of the grilled chicken marinara. He never has leftovers and took home half of his food - that's how I know he got a BIG serving. At first, I thought getting chicken on top of spaghetti was a boring choice, however, I had a bite of his chicken with that scrumptious red sauce and changed my mind. I had a spinach calzone and oh my goodness I never thought I would see the day that I was served a dish I would describe as having 'too much cheese.' That being said, it was magnificent. 10/10 would devour again. Shoutout to Joey for taking great care of us and even giving me a fresh batch of marinara to take home with my leftovers (which were excellent the second time around after just a few minutes in the air fryer). Pizza was nice and hot when I got home. I could really taste all the different meats and flavors. The crust was soft and eatable, not as hard or crunchy as others. Different but I liked it! We ordered two large pizzas for my brothers birthday and the slices are huge. There was 7 people eating and that was more than enough. So keep that in mind. We thought the pizzas would be small so we ordered more. Lol! The crust was nice and crispy and the meat lovers and supreme was the best! My family and I have tried almost everything on the menu, it has changed since their opening 22 years ago, although the menu has changed, the taste of food is still as delicious as ever. The portions are large enough for 2 people! Catalano's is a family owned and run Restaurant, and they pride themselves on the service rendered. The food is made fresh for you, nothing frozen, nothing microwaved. You can't beat it! The Restaurant isn't large by any means, and you have short wait for a table to be cleared and cleaned. A true gem. I can't rave enough about the lasagna, toasted ravioli pasta, eggplant parmesan and the pizza, I mean even the pasta salad is delicious. I've honestly forgotten all about The Olive Garden since moving to Cibolo. Catalono's is for sure a staple in our community and it adds charm to our downtown. Tons of different large pizzas sliced narrow was perfect for me. The deal included iced-tea. I liked the narrow slices because then I could try a lot of different ones without thinking I was pigging out. But I did! I really liked the sauce and the crust of all of them. I had Hawaiian (ham & pineapple), pepperoni, sausage & pepperoni, supreme, cinnamon dessert pizza. Everyone raved about the peanut butter & jelly pizza but I missed out on that. I was too full. Our waitress rocked. Very fast, very efficient and on top of the fluid refills. The cook must be the owner because he too was super engaged. They poured marinara sauce over it to make it look like it was hot. They didn't apologize or try to resolve the issue. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Don't care how busy you are. Take care of your customers. The owner said it was bullshit slammed the food in the trash can when when confronted was argumentative. From the outside, this place is very unassuming. It's in a very old building. When we got out of the car, we smelled something good cooking. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. There seemed to be a lot of regular diners, as many people knew the waitresses by name. They have a great menu with daily lunch specials. Today was beef or spinach lasagna. I had one, my gf had the other. It included tea, a salad, fresh made foccacia bread, and a hearty portion of lasagna. Everything was delicious. We were stuffed, and had food to take home.
