    Family of 10

Our New York family of 10 visited Grampies for a pre-Mother's Day dinner, and we were seriously impressed. This is easily the best pizza we've had in San Antonio -- better than Lovers, Florio's, Cabo's, Sofia, and the rest. We ordered the Margherita, Supreme, Meat, and Cheese pizzas, all with a perfectly crisp crust and zero flop. Fresh, flavorful ingredients and great balance on every pie. The garlic knots and meatballs were excellent starters, and the cannolis and Italian ice were a great finish. Service was friendly and attentive, the owner came out to chat with us (a great personal touch), and the dining area is spacious with plenty of booths. If you're looking for NY‑style pizza in San Antonio, Grampies is the spot.

Came in one evening with the family to try out Grampies. We ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger pizza, half with tomato sauce and have with mustard. Staff was friendly and provided us the recommendation on the sauce. The pizza took a bit to come out but it was prepared fresh. The pizza was quite large and reminded us of NY Pizza. Flavor was good on the pizza, tasted almost like cheeseburger. Only thing was that the pizza dough ended up a bit hard. Still not bad and will come back for more!

We drive by this place often when visiting our friends and decided to give it a try. We were stunned to see how big the restaurant was inside. We ordered a large pizza and did half Hawaiian and half all meat. The pizza tasted great. I added fresh jalapeños which made the half Hawaiian even better tasting. The service is fast and the staff is very friendly. They offer military discount on Mondays.

First time dining in here. Normally we grab and go. I'm so glad we chose to dine in. Such an awesome place, from the food to the amazing people who own it, the service was exceptional. So my husband got the 14 inch (BCB) Bacon Cheeseburger pizza. It was definitely a new way to eat a pie. The base was mustard, and it had jack and cheddar cheese, beef crumble, bacon and pickles. It absolutely SLAPS! I had a calzone with ricotta cheese and mozzarella with fresh cut mushrooms. We also had a side cheese bread. All of our food hit the spot, followed by a nap afterward. Well worth the trip. Sometimes it's nice to sit inside and take it all in. Also just a quick shout out to the employees and owners for making us feel at home.

    Burnt greasy pizza.

They put out a coupon at HEB and then dont ever answer the phone. You cant use it online and they wont do a credit. So its not really s coupon but advertising. Last time we vist them. Glad this town is growing. The pizza was burnt and greasy. New york should have char and little black spots crispy, not burnt and hard. Could not eat the crust, on half of it, waisted food.

We saw this place and decided to give a try and boy did we like it!! It's so nice and clean inside the girl over was the phone was so nice and helpful. The food though was seriously so good better than any other pizza I've had in San Antonio. My husband is from NYC so he's very particularly about his pizza but even he agreed this was legit. I seriously wanna come back soon. The calzone with ricotta was so full and flavorful. The antipasto salad was so fresh and I had order a "regular" size and it was huge!!!my husband favorite part the olives came seedless and he didn't have to remove the seeds while eating. It's even the little things they notice. Definitely worth the drive to Cibolo!

1/2 Cheese pizza 1/2 pepperoni (Forgot to take a picture because we devoured it immediately)

All the food was good and fresh. We got the Pepperoni Rolls, Garlic Butter Breadsticks, and a 20" 1/2 Pepperoni 1/2 Cheese Pizza. All good food, we had no leftovers! Pizza is thin (New York Style), so if you have a big appetite order more! Cashier was nice and friendly, and the food came out pretty quick. The ice there is chewable ice (just another thing to like about this place). It was pretty busy the night we came, because there was a fundraiser, so we were lucky to be able to get a seat. It was very clean, even though it was really busy! I would definitely come back! My niece who is very picky liked everything except the Pepperoni Rolls, which is a win in my book! I forgot to take pictures of the Pizza and Breadsticks until they we're basically gone! We were hungry lol

I was so glad they were open today as I've wanted to try them. Take out and delivery only for now. Super cute inside. Super clean. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Will def go back.

Pizza was way to greasy. Made it too unappealing for consumption. Glad it was for going away and other food was available.

It was just my partner and me, we ordered the shrimp and chicken Alfredo along with the toasted ravioli--both were phenomenal. While we were there, we heard a few customers complaining about the wait, but we also overheard the owner explaining that everything is made fresh to order. Knowing that, we expected it might take a little longer and waited in the car. After a bit, I went to check on our order, but before I could even say anything, she immediately apologized and explained that she had run out of Alfredo sauce and was making a fresh batch for us. I was completely fine with that and super sweet to her after, who wouldn't want fresh sauce? But what really stood out was what she did after. Not only did she personally bring the food out to our car, but she also included extra bread and a sweet treat to make up for the wait. That level of kindness and care is rare. I'm local to Austin, and I can confidently say this place is worth going out of your way for. Supporting small businesses always matters, but even more than that, this is someone who truly deserves the support. Incredible service, generous hospitality, and amazing food all around.

Waitress/owner rude!!!!…read more My family and I have been going to Bella Sera for years. We regularly bring large groups of 15-20 people for family gatherings, and until recently, we've always enjoyed both the food and the customer service. The owners know us, and we've had many friendly conversations with them over the years. Unfortunately, our most recent visit left a very negative impression. I personally didn't order food because I had already eaten, but I did have a water, and my son ordered a soda, which we paid for. When the owner/waitress brought out the bread, I took a piece and was told, "The bread is for people who bought food. If you want bread, buy some." I found this comment incredibly rude and unnecessary. Considering that our family was there with a party of around 20 people and has been supporting this restaurant for years, it was surprising and disappointing to be spoken to that way. My own family members at the table were offering me bread, yet I was made to feel unwelcome over a single piece. It felt like being told that people can't share food at the same table, which seems unreasonable. To make matters worse, my cousin also had a negative experience regarding the tip. Because the gratuity wasn't added to the receipt, the owner reportedly wanted to see proof of the tip before the party left. My cousin was planning to leave a cash tip on the table, but asking a customer to show or prove their tip is inappropriate and unprofessional. The food is still excellent, which makes this experience even more disappointing. However, customer service matters, and after being treated this way, I don't plan on returning.

The food is always enjoyable for both dine in and take out. However, my last visit here - we did take out for Mother's Day, and I was disappointed. We got up charged for every single tweak, which has never happened. Swapping out spaghetti for penne, for instance. The meatballs were not good and the fried ravioli was soggy because they pre-mixed them with ten sauce. But what really disappointed me, was all the meals are advertised with they come with a soup or house salad. However, on Mother's Day we were told that they weren't doing that. So we were charged the same amount, and if we wanted a salad/soup it was an additional charge. It wasn't advertised or anything.
