Not sure what to make of this place. Fantastic set up with sitting , long bar for service and even outdoor - so they excelled on that . Next is the excellence of great customer service from the greeting to the end of the meal. Then my server was perfect in attention , suggestions , and timely service .... Even a nice touch of stickers on the receipt . But I came here for the pizza and leaving with one word to describe it : BLAND. The dough/ crust was the best part but the rest was a basic as the lunch I had in high school. Zero flavor in sauce , meat , and cheese . The veggies were fresh I will admit. They are skimpy on their toppings as well. Hate to give them such a low score because they were great but for $20 - dominos or papa johns give a lot more for the money and have taste. I hope this review doesn't make this nice place upset but aware of how much better it can be. read more

What a great, family friendly, parlor. Stopped in with my daughter to grab a weekend bite and we loved it. The service was fast and friendly and the food was great to match. We loved the crispy crust and flavorful bite that each slice of pizza had. I highly recommend them if you are in the New Braunfels area. read more

This is the second time I've gone and it does not disappoint. The atmosphere is very lively. They have sports games playing on the TVs, a bar area, pool and a few other game machines in the back. The waiters are very quick. Our cups never fully got empty before we were handed a refill. Which I love because I'm lot of places don't do this. We ordered a gluten-free supreme pizza, wrangler, three meat pizza, and I think pot roast beer, cheese wedges. The quality of the food is always delicious. It comes out hot and fresh. I have a gluten intolerance and they have the best gluten-free pizza there . It is $3 more to this option. But the pizza is so crispy and has no cardboard taste! It is considered gluten-free friendly, I wouldn't recommend for a celiac. I believe they use the same cook area. read more

I was visiting town with a friend when we were recommended to come and try the pizza here. We arrived around the time it opened and was able to get seats very quickly. I really liked the decore and the setup. They have games (pacman, pool, etc) in the back and a bar to the side. The place was clean and was very roomy. It looked like they had an outside patio in the back too. Our waitress Kate was very kind and attentive to us the whole time. She gave recommendations for appetizers and made sure we had everything we needed. She mentioned that the potatoes roast beer cheese wedges were good so we ordered them. The meat was delicious and loved the seasonings they used. I especially loved the wedges themselves; very crunchy and tasty. The pizzas themselves were awesome. I usually don't go for pineapple on pizza but the 'sweet heat' tasted great especially with the garlic crust. A combo of sweet and spicy mix and the crust was good perfectly. There was also the jalapeño popper pizza we had and though did taste good, I felt something was missing or not spicy enough. Either way was good. Service was very friendly , most from what appeared to be teenager staff. Some of the cocktails sounded great (smoke watermelon margarita) but I didn't have enough room for one. We had the Caprese salad, which I wad excited to try since I read they made their own mozzarella. It was pretty good but extremely salty. I don't know if its a New Braunfels thing but dinner at the Gruene Door was also overly salted. The pizza was very good, with the tomato sauce tasting fresh and not overly sweet or salty. I wanted to try the apple eggrolls dessert but our waiter brought over the bill before asking if we wanted dessert, which is an irk of mine. Because they rounded up to the nearest dollar after I left a signed receipt with all the math complete. Signed receipt $54.55 Billed to my bank $55.00 Yep, not a lot. BUT imagine doing that to hundreds of transactions a month. What kind of windfall would that be? The signed receipt is an authorization, not permission to STEAL. This is FRAUD and THEFT. Period. We longer the downtown area and definitely love pizza. And if you're in the downtown area, this place is a must. If you're just by yourself and wanna grab a beer or if you're with family and want to try the variety of pizzas they have. It is easy to find, but parking is somewhat difficult if the area is busy. But it is also connected to other businesses so walking around the area is nice. Once inside, we were quickly greeted and sat at our table. The hostess was very nice and our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. We ended up getting the cheesy garlic bread and a 12 inch pizza half chicken Parmesan and half chicken bacon ranch . Everything was quick and very delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. So if you're around the area and want to shoot some pool drink a beer and eat eat pizza this is the perfect spot to be. I have order pizza from here a handful of times, this time I notice that they charge a to go fee for every item that you order. they probably changed me this every time I order to go, i just notice this. what are they charging me a fee to get it to go? I had ask another restaurant in the downtown are and they told me they didn't know they have always charged a fee to go, shit if I wanted to stay and eat there are they going to charge me a fee to eat there too on top of the food.
