For a Sunday morning before catching the ferry back, it was quite busy. There aren't many places that have good lattes and Catalina coffee has enough variety. It's a little space to grab and go with seating outside in a quaint courtyard. I got the Mant Blanc with orange zest.

I found this place on TikTok and it looked super cute. I ordered the Horchata Latte and it was a solid latte. I had also ordered an Asiago Bagel with Garlic Cream Cheese, but waited a bit for it. Everyone in my party had gotten there's but mine never ended going out. Once I asked, they did prioritize it though. Overall, good spot on the island for coffee!

Iced Matcha w/lavender sweetener and blackberry mocha iced coffee

We absolutely loved this little coffee shop! It's located in the back corner of the arcade area in Avalon, surrounded by beautiful trees and plenty of tables & seating areas! The staff here was so lovely, it was our first time & they offered plenty of suggestions/modifications they can make to your drinks. Not pictured here was the chocolate croissant and the berry danish we had that were absolutely delicious as well! The inside is quite small but so so cute. They have so many little trinkets to look at for purchase as well. Our drinks came out very quick which was awesome! I will say we went quite early in the morning on a Thursday, and again early morning on a Friday and it wasn't busy. However, we stopped by again later in the day on Friday to check out all the cute stores surrounding and it was PACKED! To beat the crowd, go early. We loved it here and will absolutely be back next time we're in Avalon!

Byob (build your own bagel), and strawberry matcha with extra matcha

No but how is this random Catalina cafe serving the best, vibrant GREEN matcha I've ever tasted?????? I asked for extra matcha because I underestimated them and then I had one of the most yummiest, earthy, flavorful matchas ever??? You have to be a real matcha lover to like this stuff. They ALSO have a build your own sandwich/bagel/burrito- whatever you want. I loved it so much. Can get very busy and seating is limited in the summer but I would go again and again just for the matcha. They were also so kind about the substitutions I made!

This place was busy and I see why now. This is my second time coming this time I got a bagel here and that was so good with the aragula salad on it. I had the caramel macchiato the large one I got it warm but they sell it iced too. I got the almond butter croissant which was tasty asked for it warmed up so it tasted better. The pasties all look goood but the breakfast bagels are my new favesss.

The cookies and pastries here absolutely look amazing. They are all freshly baked. We grabbed a couple of drinks, including the hot chocolate and the iced latte with extra shots of espresso. Also grabbed a ham and cheese croissant sandwich. We took the first shuttle out of Long Beach to Avalon so this place was not too busy and there was plenty of seating. Please come and treat your own adventure.

Matcha white chocolate chip cookie

Stopped by Catalina Coffee & Cookie Co. while exploring Avalon and it ended up being one of my favorite treats of the trip. I tried the white chocolate matcha cookie (didn't even know that was a thing!) and it was SO good--perfectly soft with a great balance of matcha and sweetness from the white chocolate. The iced lattes were delicious too. The inside is tiny! There is friendly service and definitely a popular spot because there was a line out the door pretty much every time we walked by (our hotel was right in the same courtyard), but honestly, it was worth the wait if you're craving something sweet or need a caffeine boost.

Super cute coffee/breakfast spot across the public beach. They have make your own bagels, breakfast burritos, and pastries. We had a latte, an iced white mocha, a cinnamon roll (warmed up!), and a breakfast burrito. It was all delicious. Even if there are long lines, the staff are fast and friendly. All seating at this location are outdoors. This is not a full service restaurant, it is more grab-and-go. The prices are also highly affordable. Everything is made fresh and local.

The line was SUPER long on memorial monday, which was pretty expected for how amazing this place is. We got the mango smoothie which was very flavorful, fresh, and tasted like it was made with freshly ripe mangoes. The ham and cheese croissant was also one of the best I've had and came out piping hot! The iced matcha was also not bad. We came here twice on our trip and will definitely be coming back tomorrow morning!

The pastries looked pretty decent here, so I ended up getting the blueberry muffin, and the people with me got the matcha cookie. I did not like the blueberry muffin at all. It was a weird, gummy texture, and it tasted artificial. It reminded me of little bites, but in a bad way. The people with me liked the matcha cookie though. Someone with me got the matcha, and said it was one of the worst matchas she has ever had. It was not creamy at all, was bitter, and she didn't even come close to finishing it. I would not come back here.

Coffee was OK for me. I tried regular black coffee. Customer service was very good. There are some seating areas outside of the coffee shop. And close by restrooms. Overall it's OK experience

Avocado toast w/ egg, bacon, and arugula

Great place for coffee and breakfast items! This coffee shop was literally less than a minute walking distance from our hotel in Avalon. I was craving a breakfast burrito and avocado toast and found that this place had both! My husband and I shared both items. Between the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast, we both loved the breakfast burrito a lot. It had the perfect amount of filling inside compared to how much tortilla they used to wrap it. Sometimes a lot of other places use too much tortilla, but this place did not! The burrito also came with their chipotle sauce which tasted well with it. As for the avocado toast, it was mediocre for me. The next morning, my husband and I ended up getting our own breakfast burritos hehe. Will definitely be back for this place when in the area!

Vegan Menu

Even more impressed with Catalina Coffee & Cookie!! They're keeping vegans on the island fed, and fed well! I always go multiple times on my trip. This new vegan burrito has easily climbed to the top of my favorites. It comes with a salsa verde on the side. The vegan pizza breads are always my favorite as well. I add jalepenos and vegan sausage to mine. You can also customize any breakfast sandwich. SO MUCH THANKS TO THIS COMPANY! The best on the island!!

She gave us a menu and we ordered right away. She was slammed but we got served in 3 or 4 minutes, she was amazing. They have a drink called a Destroyer but it was not as good as the Dr. Ward's Painkiller. This is as good as the ones we had in St. Thomas and may be better. They are not on the menu but just ask Sara. We did go to the food truck and that was a mistake. $10 chips and tablespoon of dip, a real waste of money. We did get the burgers and I almost sent this hockey puck back. The bread was hard, the burger was about the size of a quarter and the flavor was not good. I did get a slice of cheese, was overpriced for a slice of cheap cheese. The bacon was good but only half a slice..... poor form. DO NOT EAT AT THE FOOD TRUCK!!! Have Sara make you a couple of drinks, take the tram back to Avalon and eat there. I would have not given them 5 stars if we had just been there for the food, perhaps only 1. Sara and the bar made the difference. We will be back to the bar after a good lunch or breakfast...
