Super cute coffee/breakfast spot across the public beach. They have make your own bagels, breakfast burritos, and pastries. We had a latte, an iced white mocha, a cinnamon roll (warmed up!), and a breakfast burrito. It was all delicious. Even if there are long lines, the staff are fast and friendly. All seating at this location are outdoors. This is not a full service restaurant, it is more grab-and-go. The prices are also highly affordable. Everything is made fresh and local.

The cookies and pastries here absolutely look amazing. They are all freshly baked. We grabbed a couple of drinks, including the hot chocolate and the iced latte with extra shots of espresso. Also grabbed a ham and cheese croissant sandwich. We took the first shuttle out of Long Beach to Avalon so this place was not too busy and there was plenty of seating. Please come and treat your own adventure.

Stopped by Catalina Coffee & Cookie Co. while exploring Avalon and it ended up being one of my favorite treats of the trip. I tried the white chocolate matcha cookie (didn't even know that was a thing!) and it was SO good--perfectly soft with a great balance of matcha and sweetness from the white chocolate. The iced lattes were delicious too. The inside is tiny! There is friendly service and definitely a popular spot because there was a line out the door pretty much every time we walked by (our hotel was right in the same courtyard), but honestly, it was worth the wait if you're craving something sweet or need a caffeine boost.

The line was SUPER long on memorial monday, which was pretty expected for how amazing this place is. We got the mango smoothie which was very flavorful, fresh, and tasted like it was made with freshly ripe mangoes. The ham and cheese croissant was also one of the best I've had and came out piping hot! The iced matcha was also not bad. We came here twice on our trip and will definitely be coming back tomorrow morning!

Coffee was OK for me. I tried regular black coffee. Customer service was very good. There are some seating areas outside of the coffee shop. And close by restrooms. Overall it's OK experience

Great place for coffee and breakfast items! This coffee shop was literally less than a minute walking distance from our hotel in Avalon. I was craving a breakfast burrito and avocado toast and found that this place had both! My husband and I shared both items. Between the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast, we both loved the breakfast burrito a lot. It had the perfect amount of filling inside compared to how much tortilla they used to wrap it. Sometimes a lot of other places use too much tortilla, but this place did not! The burrito also came with their chipotle sauce which tasted well with it. As for the avocado toast, it was mediocre for me. The next morning, my husband and I ended up getting our own breakfast burritos hehe. Will definitely be back for this place when in the area!

We came here because we saw it in a travel vlog and thought it was the only coffee shop in town. Spoiler alert: it's not. And honestly, thank goodness. The coffee was not good, the breakfast burrito was even worse, and the whole experience was just super meh. Nothing outright offensive, but definitely not something I'd go out of my way for again especially on vacation when decent coffee feels like a basic human right. On our last day we discovered Catalina Island Brew House, and WOW. Night and day difference. Better coffee, better food. They even have these little bite sized cheesecakes for when you just want a taste and not a full commitment to being a proper fat ass. Skip this place and go to Catalina Island Brew House instead. Trust me.

If you're craving a matcha latte while on the island, I recommend getting it at Catalina Coffee & Cookie! You can customize the type of milk for your latte. The green was vibrant and you can definitely taste the matcha. Besides drinks, they also sell a variety of pastries and you can build your own bagel sandwich. I'll definitely come back to try their bagels.

Catalina Coffee & Cookie Company is a must-stop in Avalon! We ordered two lattes, and even though there was a line out the door, it moved quickly and was totally worth the wait. The shop is well stocked with fresh pastries, and they also offer breakfast items, which is perfect whether you're grabbing something quick or starting your morning right. Everything looked fresh and tempting. The lattes were excellent, smooth, flavorful, and exactly what we needed. The staff handled the rush efficiently while still being friendly, which really stood out. Busy for a reason! If you're in Avalon and need great coffee and baked goods, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend

We needed an afternoon pick me up so at the recommendation of our hotel's front desk staff we walked over to Catalina Coffee and Cookie. We walked in & were greeted by cheery reggaeton music and friendly employees. My iced Americano was really good & so was the chocolate dipped coconut macaroon we shared. It was just what we needed to get us past the 3pm slump!

Stopped by Catalina Coffee & Cookie Company to try out their famous Iced Mocha and Iced Matcha. This coffee and cookie shop was recommended to us by one of our friends so we thought to check it out. We visited on a Saturday afternoon for some caffeine fix. So many good coffee and pastry choices on the menu and on display inside the glass counter by the register. The baristas were awesome and informed us about Catalina Coffee & Cookie Company. Our Iced Matcha and Iced Mocha were ready within a few minutes. The Iced Matcha was good. You can taste the match and coffee blend. The Iced Mocha was also good. It wasn't too sweet and you can taste the espresso along with the mocha. Can't wait to come back and try other interesting items on their menu.

Catalina Coffee & Cookie Co. stands out as one of the most reliable breakfast and coffee spots in Avalon. This place focuses on speed and consistency. You walk in, order at the counter, and get your food without a long wait, even during busy mornings. That matters on Catalina, where you want to spend more time outside than standing in line. The coffee holds up well. Whether you order a latte or a basic drip, the flavor stays balanced and strong without tasting burnt. A lot of tourist-heavy spots miss here, but this one stays consistent. Food quality is where they separate themselves. The breakfast burritos come packed and filling, with ingredients that taste fresh instead of reheated. The pastries carry the menu. Cookies, muffins, and cinnamon rolls come out soft and rich, with a homemade feel instead of something pulled from a freezer. Menu variety helps if you're with a group. You'll find lighter options, along with vegan and gluten-free choices, so everyone has something to order without settling. Seating is simple, with outdoor tables that let you enjoy the island atmosphere. Expect a crowd in the morning, especially on weekends, but the line moves at a steady pace. This spot works best when you want dependable coffee and a solid breakfast without slowing down your day.

My family and I came here on a Saturday afternoon after taking the ferry from Dana Point and we were seated pretty quickly. Unfortunately, we were seated right next to the bathroom, so there was constantly a line of people passing by our table the entire time we were eating. We ordered a couple of different items. I ended up getting their turkey bacon club sandwich with french fries, my mom got the tuna club sandwich, and my brother ordered one of their breakfast plates with waffles, eggs, and bacon. They do charge for water, but I think that's pretty common throughout Catalina Island since most places serve bottled water. The food came out within about 15-20 minutes and it was honestly pretty decent for what it was. You really can't mess up a turkey bacon sandwich, but the bread was crispy, buttery, and super good. I also loved the french fries they were super yummy and probably my favorite part of the meal. My mom's tuna sandwich was also really delicious, although both sandwiches leaned a little salty. I kind of wish they included a small side salad or lettuce with the meal, but overall everything was still really good. The service was pretty solid, especially considering how busy the restaurant was with people constantly coming in and out. The whole place has a very diner-style, old-fashioned vibe to it, which honestly fit the island atmosphere really well. Overall, I'd definitely come back here if I were visiting Catalina Island again. Solid food, quick service, convenient parking, and a classic diner feel. Definitely a 5/5 overall experience for me.

My Bison burger was pretty good, debatable slightly overcooked, I like a little more pink, but it was still very tender and good. I did get it without cheese, and the tomato jam, I don't really get the point of having tomato jam and a tomato on the burger lol. My husband had the steak frites and he really liked them.
