Stopped here for a quick beer after walking around for maybe 20 minutes. Its a coffee shop and a brewery in the same location. The long line is for coffee - so skip and go right down the beer line which is way shorter. Cant beat beer by the water. Would recommend.

I came for coffee one early morning when I walked in I saw all the local grocery staff enjoying a cup on the patio. I knew it was going to be good if the locals go here! I was right! Delicious coffee! I order a vanilla latte and a cranberry scone. I took it to go and had a lovely stroll through town. They use Dancing Goats beans and grind their beans fresh. Their pastries are baked fresh on site. I loved my cranberry scone. So so good. Staff is very warm and friendly.

We found this place on our last day and I'm honestly mad at ourselves for not coming here sooner. We went somewhere else earlier in the trip for coffee and...yeah, that place sucked. At least now we know better for next time. Everything coming out of the oven looked better than the last thing!!! Fresh baked goods nonstop and all of it tempting. Then we saw the cheesecake. Full sized, thick, glorious cheesecake. We wanted it, but didn't want to totally overdo it...which is when I learned they sell bite-sized cheesecake. Actual genius. Got one and it was SO good. Perfect amount, zero regrets. Coffee was fantastic too!! Exactly what you want on vacation. This is officially my go-to coffee spot now. Next time I'm in town, Catalina Island Brew House is getting my money every single morning.

This coffee/brew house was right below our hotel. We were very lucky! I woke up each morning craving my chai tea latte with oat milk. It's so delicious. My husband enjoyed his vanilla lattes as well. Friendly service both days I went. The pastries look amazing! Next time I'll grab one! Very cute coffee shop in the morning and cool beer spot at night. This place was recommended to us and super cute. They serve beer, pizza, coffee and snacks. The beer flights and pizza looked really good and we should have went for that. Instead we got coffee, tea, and dessert. The service was good, and our drinks came out pretty fast. Luckily tea is easy and tasted good. My girlies however were not impressed by the coffee. We also got mini cheesecakes, which seemed to be store bought. The location is perfection so that's the win!

This coffee shop has a warm feel, even at 7:30am there are already a few parties inside. The regular brewed coffee is amazing with a little half and half! I also got a cinnamon roll which was ok. I would give them 5 stars if they had better pastries. I'll definitely be back next time in at Catalina.

We had just reached Catalina Island, and we needed some quick and good food. With a quick yelp search, I was able to find this place. Surprisingly this was a short walk from the ferry terminal. The restaurant was quite crowded, but we were lucky enough to find a table. They also have a Café alongside which I thought was pretty cool. I was craving for some pizza so I got the veggie flatbread pizza. My husband got a lager beer. We also got a caprese panini sandwich. The food came out pretty quickly. The portion size was pretty good for the flatbread. We did request for less cheese but there was a bit too much cheese on the flatbread. However, the flatbread was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The beer was tasty and paired well with the pizza. The Panini was flavorful but the portion size was relatively smaller. You also get the ocean view while eating at this restaurant. I really liked the ambience and the servers were sweet. If you are looking for a sit down restaurant with a view, I would highly recommend this place. The prices are affordable as well.

This place is conveniently near everything. It's facing the beach and has a really nice view. Their is plenty of seating on the patio. A really cute scene. The coffee itself is good and the pastries are delicious. We were a big group and ordered about $75 worth of coffee and pastries. The only unfortunate part was 1 of 6 coffees we ordered, we requested no dairy (soy milk) in it and the girl made a face like she was annoyed by it. My daughter can't have dairy so I didn't like that it made her feel uncomfortable for asking. The rest of the orders were just fine. And the pastries were yummy.

We stopped by this small coffee house on the busy main street (I was actually looking for beer lol) and were pleasantly surprised to find delicious coffee and light breakfast options! I am typically a black coffee drinker, but I had a taste of wifey's vanilla oat milk latte, and it was amazing! We also ordered breakfast croissants for ourselves, and a pizza panini for our hungry 10-year old. There were no leftovers! :)

Very popular coffee spot on Catalina that also happens to serve tea, beer on tap, wine, food, pizza and pastries. They serve such a wide variety of drinks and food which means this place is always busy. They have inside seating, outside seating and I believe some bar seating where the beer taps are. Great spot with lots of different options.

Call me a pessimist but I am pleasantly surprised at how good the items are here. I worry that being on an island, businesses do not feel they need to try as hard to maintain business because tourists will always come to eat at wherever is not too busy. It was here that I confirmed that I love the Italian combination of pesto, mozzarella, tomato, and whatever leafy green of choice (basil, arugula, or spinach). I can eat caprese sandwiches for the rest of my life and not get tired probably. This place is super cozy and was a nice place to stop to eat before going an island tour.

Probably the best place in the island to get your coffee and espresso from. We tried a few spots around here and this is probably the best option for most. I came with. Few friends and this was our conclusion. We visited right when they opened. I have to give it a 4/5 stars just because it probably is the best coffee spot on the island but I haven't tried any coffee from the restaurants yet. So this location will be the go to from now on.

    Iced Vanilla Latte: 10/10!

Coffee and beer all in one place? That's right! Catalina Island Brew House offers both! We had dropped by for a beer a couple of years ago, but today dropped in for coffee. Personally, I think the coffee outshines the beer by a mile. I had an iced vanilla latte and it was just perfect. The service was great and our coffee came out in just a few minutes, despite how busy it was. The atmosphere is also pretty cool, definitely a bit touristy but relaxing nonetheless. Will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Catalina!

Once we were finally seated, another 15 minutes passed without a server acknowledging us. We asked a busser for water, and he said he would get our waiter. We watched him speak to a male waiter, who looked directly at our table but returned to chatting with the bartender. Four other nearby tables that had been seated after us were also left without service. When the waiter eventually headed in our direction, he walked past all of the waiting tables and stopped to talk with guests who had already been served. After sitting for 35 minutes without even receiving water or being greeted by a server, we left. The couple at the table next to us left as well. It truly felt as though the waiting tables were being deliberately ignored. There are many wonderful places to eat on Catalina Island, but based on this experience, I would avoid Topside.

Asked a local about where to find such a place, he immediately mentioned Jack's, which I followed up on. At a place like this, you sit at the counter, no questions asked, and I wonder why they even have another option. For the rookies, I guess. Only drawback was that they don't have water. Bottled water, sure, but no tap water. It's an island, I get it, but everywhere else has water offered. And, for what came to a $30 breakfast (without a drink), yeah, water might be a nice token. Regardless, glad I came, but in a city as unique as Avalon, I'll continue to diversify my breakfast options next time...
