I stopped in after seeing a content creator rave about this place, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the Salted Caramel Latte with oatmilk, and my friend got the Banana Bread Latte with oatmilk. The Salted Caramel Latte was an easy 10/10. It was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, but just sweet enough. The caramel flavor was rich, decadent, and the foam was an incredibly smooth addition. I would absolutely order it again. As for the Banana Bread Latte, the coffee flavor was a little stronger than I preferred, so I'd give it a 7/10. That said, my friend really enjoyed it, so if you like a bolder coffee flavor, you'll probably love it. The ambiance was warm, modern, and inviting, with enough seating if you're looking for a place to study, work, or just relax. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and patient, I didn't feel rushed while deciding what to order, which I really appreciated. First time trying Wah Coffee! We were in the area for an appointment and decided to stop by. Originally we were interested in matcha, but we went with espresso instead. This was recommended by the barista so that we could get a taste of the original drink. We were welcomed and greeted upon entering and the baristas were attentive and answered all of our questions! Ordered the Banana Bread Latte and the Brown Butter Salted Maple Latte with oat milk. The drinks were uniquely flavored and tasty. Only grievance is that the banana bread latte was a little messy. The drinks were iced. The straws were flimsy and difficult to get inside the cup. Aside from that, they were yummy! Overall, Wah is a nice coffee shop that I'd recommend. Definitely a coffee shop I'll be adding to my coffee collection list. Nice space to get work done, socialize, read, and enjoy some good coffee. Wonderful service! read more

I got an iced latte with rose syrup which was very yummy. The one downside is a 12oz was over $7 which I understand is the norm these days but it still hurts. Service was very kind and quick. They're located in a plaza so parking is easy; I did go early in the morning though so I'm not sure if it fills up later in the day. The interior was pretty spacious as well so definitely a place you could hang out or do some work. read more

I stopped by to try Wah Coffee for the first time & I ordered : - Matcha Latte with matcha foam - Caramel latte with cold foam One thing to note is the matcha latte will be unsweetened if you don't add a flavor. Normally the sweet foam or cold foam adds a touch of sweetness. The normal cold foam they offer is sweet & super good (ordered with caramel latte) However the matcha foam (ordered with matcha latte) was not sweet. For their customer service I think it would be helpful to ask people if they would like to add a flavor or if they are ok with no sugar in the beverage they are purchasing. If I would've been asked this I would've switched my matcha to instead have regular cold foam. Instead of matcha foam. I was not disappointed because they have good quality matcha! So although no sugar was in my drink I enjoyed it as I prefer less sugary drinks. The quality of matcha should still be enjoyable without sugar & they offer that here! I would be interested in buying their matcha powder and would come back. Interior is spacious, nice and cozy to work for a bit or to hang out. read more

Went to the new Wah Coffee in Montrose to study. This place used to be a Starbucks. I got the matcha^3 which has a matcha cold foam. This place was really packed so I had to sit at the bar. It is really cold inside so I would recommend bringing a jacket or sweater. Their matcha is not as strong as other places but the sweetness still makes it good. It's pretty pricey here tho. read more

Shoutout to a new coffee shop in the neighborhood! This place replaced the Starbuck ls that was previously here and im so happy about that! They have a thriving location in Richmond and I am excited for the Montrose location to meet their full potential. Right now they are only open from 9-2 with an abbreviated menu. The decor and interior are super cute and warm with browns and tans. I ordered a vanilla Matcha latte. A little to heavy on the vanilla but still taste good. I came today for the soft opening. I ordered the banana bread latte from the specialty part of the menu and you can choose if you want it made with coffee or matcha, I chose coffee. The coffee is strong but once you mix it well the banana bread cream helps tone it down and gives it a nice creamy taste as well. The employees and owner are very friendly and ready to help. The area is very large and a great place to study or just relax with the music not being played to loud and lots of tables with outlets. There are also some couches just to lounge around. read more

I truly love a neighborhood coffee shop, and as a Montrose resident we have plenty to choose from (one of the reasons I love living over here)! For the convenience factor alone I wanted this to become my "spot", but it just hasn't hit. I have had an iced banana bread oat milk latte and a plain iced oat milk latte. The coffee is light/almost tasteless and the prices are HIGH! At almost 10 dollars for a latte, I want to taste coffee - not just "milk". I understand in this economy a coffee is not going to be "cheap", but 10 dollars for a 16 oz latte is a bit egregious. I stopped by during the soft opening and had a great experience! The barista who took my order was very friendly, and someone who I believe was either the owner or manager was there as well. He took the time to say hello and talk with me about the matcha cubed, which was really nice. I tried the matcha cubed and the banana bread latte, and both were delicious! The matcha cubed was very smooth with a great matcha cold foam on top. The banana bread latte was perfectly sweet, had a great banana flavor, and even smelled just like banana bread. The space itself is beautiful and comfortable inside. It feels like it will be a great place to meet up with friends, and there are even some tables that would be perfect for studying or working. Overall, I like this place. Decided to stop by on a whim after work after seeing an Instagram post about it. The interior was really nice, lots of seating, good vibes all around, and it looked beautiful. Barista were very friendly and compared to a lot of other coffee places in the area, prices were pretty decent. I'm not sure if I just missed it or if their posted menu on the wall is only a partial menu, but I didn't see the chai latte I wanted on the menu but when I asked, they said they had it. This place is pretty new, recently replacing the Starbucks that used to be there. The renovated interior is really nice and it'd be a good place to hangout if I lived in the neighborhood. However, I wasn't impressed with anything else. I ordered a quad shot iced latte with vanilla and almond milk. For $10 plus tip it was small, average and unmemorable. I'm fine paying $6-10 for coffee drinks but this just wasn't worth it. The order taker wasn't that friendly and seemed annoyed when I asked if they'd eventually have cold brew coffee after the soft opening phase. I'm not sure if I'll be back. Cute interior. I watched a customer in front of me order a decaffeinated drink. Their menu board states to ask about their decaffeinated options. The customer was told they don't have any decaffe. I ordered a flat white, thinking it would be the same size as their latte, which is 10 or 12 ounces. While waiting, I was asked, what kind of milk I wanted. I stated 2%. And then I was told they only have whole milk. Why bother asking me what kind of milk I wanted? What I got was more of a starbucks short, a small, 6 ounce cup for $5. I was a bit underwhelmed. I wanted a bakery item, but their case was empty. I am not sure how new this establishment is, but I'm sure their service will improve. read more

I was really excited to try Wah Coffee because I am on the hunt for a good banana latte that's comparable to the BBL at the Ritz in Hawaii. This coffee shop is really cute and it was crowded. There are inside and outside seating. A small line was forming out the door when I got there. Even though there were only 2 baristas, they pumped the drinks out relatively quickly which was very impressive. Now onto the drink review. I got my banana bread latte with oat milk. First impression was that it was very sweet. A little too sweet for me and I am someone who rarely lowers my sugar percentage for bobas/drinks. The cinnamon was the most prominent flavor of the drink. I genuinely feel like it was very lacking in banana flavor, shoot, even banana essence. If they renamed this a Teddy graham latte, I would've understood the drink more. The coffee is also not very strong so cross that with the overly sweet syrup, it did not satisfy my morning craving for caffeine. This is a miss for me so I'm sad. For now as it stands, I hate to say it but lalaland has the best banana oat latte so far! read more
