I came here on a Saturday during the day with my kids and had a great time. It is down a side street, but just off Broadway, so you get the whole experience, but without the super crazy crowds. We started on the first floor where the gift shop is. There is also a small bar and a band playing with lounge type seating. There was no line at the bar so we got our drinks quickly. Moving to the back of the first floor, is a mini concert venue. There was nothing going on during the day so we headed upstairs to the sports bar. There was a huge TV and the upper deck of the concert venue below. There was also a bar here and the chairs were super comfortable, a great place to watch a game. The World Cup was on so we enjoyed that for a bit. Next, we went upstairs to the rooftop, where there was a indoor area with a band playing, a much bigger bar, and an awesome outdoor patio area with lots of seating and views across the rover to titans Stadium. Who doesn't love line dancing? It is truly a unique experience being able to line dance on broadway to LIVE music (& have a place that encourages/has enough space to do so!). The instructors are super friendly and encouraging. Lessons can be a bit fast paced, but are beginner dances. Offers walk-in seating surrounding the dancefloor, with service for drinks & bites. My younger sister (who is under 21) was hoping to get something that wasn't a soda... turns out the mocktail menu has NA spirits in it. We stopped into Category 10 after seeing the sign for line dancing lessons and thought it would be a fun addition to our afternoon. Sadly it was a bit disappointing. The lesson lasted about 15 minutes before everyone cleared the dance floor. A small group of dancers then took over while the rest of us stood around watching. They were obviously talented, but it made for a really awkward atmosphere. It would have been so much more enjoyable if they had continued teaching, led everyone through more dances, or encouraged the crowd to join in. We didn't try the food or drinks because we came specifically for the line dancing. If this had been advertised as a line dancing show or performance, our expectations would have been completely different. Instead, it was promoted as line dancing lessons, so we expected to spend some time learning and dancing, not standing on the sidelines watching others. read more

Formerly known as the Wildhorse Saloon, country singer Luke Combs but this place & changed the name to Category 10. This place is a 67,000 square foot multilevel entertainment venue, complete with a large dance floor & stage on the main level. The staff here makes you feel welcomed & right at home & provides great service. The food is pricey but good. Not a bad seat anywhere in this place! From the third level, you can look down into the lighting & sound booth & see the techs working when there's a show going on. We were there to see a mutual drummer friend of ours who was playing in an all-female country band. This is definitely a place for the younger crowd. Category 10 in Nashville was definitely a cool place to check out. Honestly, I can't say a whole lot about it because I didn't spend a ton of time there, but the decor throughout the bar is absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail is impressive, and the bathrooms might have actually been my favorite part--they were gorgeous! One thing to know before you go is that this isn't really a typical dance bar. It's much more focused on line dancing, so if you don't know how to line dance (like me!), you might not get as much out of it. That said, it was fun watching everyone who knew what they were doing. Overall, it's a unique spot with a great atmosphere and stunning decor. If you're into country music and line dancing, you'll probably have a blast. Average band up top on Monday. Tuesday band was okay but they were playing for nobody late Tuesday evening. Staff at the door even said head upstairs Dude said his dad played fiddle for kid rock sometimes but talked more about wanting some Taco Bell from across the street. These three were pretty decent. I don't know why people were not there. It was cool to watch the boats come in and dock on the Cumberland. Just overall not much action. Hands down my favorite bar I visited during my stay in Nashville! I loved the free line dance lessons. The instructors were easy to follow and it was a lot of fun. All of the bands we saw there were great and many took requests. The food was delicious. The ranch flight is a must! I visited multiple times throughout my trip and I will say that service and experience will vary. I went for an event/concert and it was so warm with all the people they really needed to turn the air conditioning on more. Then I had a spot 3rd floor balcony that was supposed to have waitress and she showed up hours later, we went to the bar which was slammed. It seemed they didn't have enough staff or properly staff for a full venue event. When our waitress did show up I did ask for a water and we never saw her again, never brought the water or came back for when we needed another drink so we again had to go to the bar for our drinks. Going to the bar wasn't an issue but they were so packed and not the friendliest. Food I got a side a fries and the pizza rolls. $17 for the pizza rolls and I think $8 for side of fries is completely ridiculous. Overpriced and truly horrible unfriendly service, I was expecting better. 3 ? Why? Category 10 was hands-down my favorite spot in Nashville. I ended up here three out of my four nights in town--that's how much I enjoyed it. The rooftop bar had live music and plenty of space, though it was more laid-back with fewer people. The real action was on the main floor where 200+ people were out line dancing. It was incredible to watch, especially with the mix of a live band and DJ, plus a top-notch sound system and effects coming down from the ceiling that added to the show. Even though I don't know how to line dance (wish I did--I would've jumped right in), I had a great time hanging out. Between the drinks, friendly crowd, pretty girls, and awesome music, this place delivered the full Nashville experience. We came here after finding out the place across the street we wanted to go to had a 2 hour wait on a Friday night around 8. Out of desperation, we wandered into Category 10 since we were both hungry and hadn't eaten dinner yet. We walked in and our IDs were thoroughly checked, despite us both being in our 50s. I walked to an unmarked host stand that was unattended. A gentleman walked up and started cleaning menus without acknowledging me. The place was busy in the back near the stage, while the "dining" area was mostly empty. I asked him if it was a possibility to get a table for 2, he sort of indicated yes and took us to a dirty table (see pic). He walked off w/o a word. A server finally came by and we changed tables to another table that needed to be cleaned. She wiped it off. We asked her what local beers were available. She had no idea, so she went to check. The only thing "local"was from Asheville, NC - a beer from Hi-Wire. We ordered the "seasonal" beer after having our IDs checked again. We asked for a food recommendation. She recommended the waffle fires, which came out as an undercooked cold mess of limp waffle fries and unmelted cheese (see pic). We ordered the venison meatloaf to split. It was the blandest, oddest tasting mystery meat ever (and we both eat venison often). It came with some bland mashed potatoes and carrots and was topped with a tasteless tomato sauce. We managed to eat some of this spongy mystery meat and washed it down with a "seasonal " beer which appeared to be a brown ale (not seasonal in May). The band playing was pretty good, which is certainly why a giant crowd came to this place. Everything else was a complete disaster. Come for the music, not the food, or any beer that's not Bud Light or the equivalent. This place is a dump. Come for the music but get food anywhere else in Nashville. The food here SUCKS. The service is equally bad, and they couldn't care less if you're there. Our server was really nice but had no idea about the menu or beers available. She also had no training about how to serve us since we had to ask for the table to be cleaned and to get us silverware and napkins. Again, eat anywhere else...prepare for lame drinks and beer selection...and realize the staff doesn't care if you're there or not. read more

The setup allows performers to play on stage while audiences from the first to third floors can enjoy the show in a way that feels almost like watching an opera. Meanwhile, the third floor also has an indoor area where sports lovers can relax and watch games on a big screen. As for the food, I highly recommend their braised edamame and the incredibly tasty sliced grilled steak. The environment is clean and comfortable, and personally, I really recommend this restaurant and music bar -- especially for a first-time visitor to the city. We were there a few times with in 4 days! The first time we were there we saw John Lucas and band we had him Stumped and laughing. Did some line dancing and it was so much fun. We then came back for lunch and had Kelly she was great there were 10 of us and did not miss a beat! This is like an expensive version of Ruby Tuesday's. The food is just edible at best and it's extremely over priced. Think cafeteria food. A drink, like a jack and coke is $17. Service is almost non existent. Expect the waiter say "sorry I completely forgot" multiple times. This was such a cool place the Hurricane design and periodic animation is very nice and give the place such a cool vibe. Music was great and food exceeded my expectations. Was sitting on the rooftop for about an hour when security came around and told us they were closing it in 10 minutes. We told them we had ordered food and they said the could bring it down to the 3rd level. Mind you, the 3rd level is a rail with chairs - not conducive for sharing food amongst friends. Perhaps a better idea would have been to have a sign at the entrance to the rooftop that said it was closing at 4pm for a private event.
