When we arrived at the check in table for COA, we expected a high level of customer service, especially since we booked our stay through The Hotel Collection with American Express Travel. Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant (not concierge) fell well short of those expectations. The demeanor of the staff member assisting us came across as unwelcoming and unfriendly, which made for a poor first impression. In addition, we observed a hostess wearing extremely low-cut shorts that exposed her behind, which we felt was unprofessional and inconsistent with the standards we expected from your establishment. ‍ We were also concerned to see a guest's dog place its paws on the bar. From both a hygiene and guest experience standpoint, this seemed inappropriate and should have been addressed by staff. Customer service should be priority at all times. There shouldn't be employees manning your check in table or serving tables with attitudes. A welcoming smile and friendly personality is a MUST! I hope you will share this feedback with your management team and take it into consideration to improve the experience for future guests.

Visited here for a special occasion and to try the soft serve margaritas. I'm from Chicago so I love love love a rooftop. We specifically booked for sunset and I denoted the special occasion and a request for a view in the reservation. Aside from a brief mention from the hostess, there is nothing special done for the occasion, not a big deal but worth noting. We also had planned to have dinner here but the table available was a lounge/small coffee table set up that could barely hold our two waters. We ended up asking them to take away the waters, and then stacking the menus on the ground so we could have room. We ended up sticking to appetizers because it would be awkward to eat a proper meal at that setup. The frozen margaritas were pretty good and made for a good photo with the sunset. The tajin straws were a nice touch. Food was just okay, a little pricey for what you get and nothing special about the flavors. Portions were small. Service was sparse and we had to flag down staff more than usual.

So glad I gave it another chance! Ty and Mike are amazing bartenders who truly know how to take care of you. The food was a total standout--the carne asada tacos and churros were easily a 10/10. But it's the atmosphere that seals the deal. Between the stunning sunset views around 7:30-8:00 PM and the incredible music, it feels exactly like a high-end, upscale nightclub hidden in the rainforest. Highly recommend!

COA sits atop the Canopy Hotel in The Gulch and was recently recommended to us for a chill afternoon rooftop cocktail...and the recommendation was spot on for what we were after! COA is a Latin inspired space with a vibey dining room and bar area with cozy seating and a few communal tables. While the interior peers out over a bit of Nashville, the outdoor areas have the best views of the city! The outdoor area has a variety of seating from lounge areas to formal seating plus a few spaces that are dedicated to standing and enjoying the views. While the food menu looked great, we were after cocktails. We had a collection of beer, wine and cocktails. Beer and wine were great, and the wine glass was a nice touch and different. The cocktails were tasty and strong, and again served in cool glassware. Prices were standard hotel prices. Nothing crazy, and the cocktails seemed worth it. Service was friendly and welcoming. From the moment we got off the elevator to being sat, at the bar and then departure...everyone was helpful and friendly. Overall, COA was a cool spot for an afternoon rooftop cocktail. I have heard the night views are even better and the food is great, so I look forward to returning!

Cute vibrant new rooftop, the fire girls are on fire. The staff is genuinely so nice and kind. From security, to servers to bartenders. Just kind people, and great service. Drink were good too. The vibe was just awesome. Music is a tad too loud, but oh well, you live in Nashville long enough you ll end up with hearing aid regardless!! Food looked amazing, will be back to try it!

I went to COA to check out their new Soft Serve Margs and these were delicious! You can actually do a swirl of strawberry + pina colada which was such a good mix! You also get a candy pineapple, strawberry and tajin straw. This was SO refreshing, it's not too strong either so if you don't like alcohol you'll still like this. The perfect ice cream consistency, I'll be back!

Came here for opening night to celebrate my friend's birthday. The valet was super nice and informed me that the first 2 hrs are free and it's $25 for 4 hours after that. As soon as walked through the hotel doors I was greeted again and was told how yo get to the rooftop. COA is located on the 11th floor. My friend abd I met for dinner around 6 and stayed for like 4.5 hrs. We started with the guacamole and ceviche. She ordered a mocktail and I got a Gimmlet with vodka (soo good, I usually get it with gin). We then ordered and bahi fish, pork belly, and carne asada tacos. Our favorite was the carne asada. We couldn't make up our mines on the desserts so we got them both, churros and their spin on strawberry shortcake. They were both soo good but our favorite was the churro dessert. As the night progressed, it got busier and busier. After we ate, we took a spin around to check out all it had to over. The patio and views are amazing and it waaay longer than you works expect. I can't way to come back with my husband.

Food, service, general experience no bueno. We had a private event, and there were supposed to be two bartenders, but as soon as one came back to the bar, the other went somewhere else. Every single time. This was for a party of at least 40 people. And the first round of margaritas we ordered were only filled to about 2/3 of the glass (plastic cup). Keep in mind we're paying at least $16 a drink. Ordered the salsas, and it came with 6 large tortilla chips. For $13 I think? Glad I didn't order any other food. Overall, not a great experience, service or food wise. I will definitely not come back and spend my money here again.

This place has so much promise. We arrived for Mother's Day brunch to a place with an awesome upbeat vibe. We were so excited to eat here. Until we sat for 15 minutes waiting on a server to acknowledge us. It all went down hill from there. The menu looks interesting. And so we ordered our drinks and an appetizer. At this point. We have sat 30 minutes before the drinks were brought out. Still no appetizer. Appetizer finally came. It was actually the highlight of the meal. The street corn dip in case you're adventurous enough to give this place a shot after reading this review. Mains came and were alright. Not $200 lunch alright though. There were so many missteps from one entree taking 15 minutes longer to come out than the other 3. To our silverware being taken away after the appetizer and not being able to eat when our entrees came. Overall this place feels understaffed. mismanaged and without drastic changes it feels like this will be another Nashville restaurant casualty. There are simply too many GREAT restaurants in nashville for us to tolerate experiences like this.

We attended the COA New Year's Eve bash. You could buy a table, but once we bought our tickets the tables were sold out. We were, however, able to buy the premium package which included open bar with premium liquor, complimentary food and an early entry of 8 pm. The general admission package also included complimentary food and a well liquor open bar package. To me the early entry was worth paying for because we were able to get three barstool seats, with a slight back in the inside area of the rooftop bar. I definitely didn't want to stand all night. Their outside seating areas were really nice with incredible views and heaters, but it was so cold that night our party wanted to stay inside. Even with the heaters going it was cold. They had enough bar tenders, so the lines for drinks was not bad. The food was buffet style, and they kept it stocked all night. I enjoyed the create your own tacos and the shrimp salad. Towards the end of the night they brought out mini churros and caramel sauce. Those were amazing. There was enough people there for a great party, but I was glad that It wasn't too crowded. It was nice that they limited the number of tickets they sold. They had a photographer, and the pictures were free which was great!! We got three strips since there was three of us, and they sent a digital version to my email. Close to midnight we went outside to see the fireworks that were shot off near Bicentennial park. You couldn't see a full view, but you could see enough between the skyscrapers. They also offered tequila shots at midnight.

    inside corner seating

Amazing corn, birria tacos and drinks. Went at sunset and view from outdoor patio was beautiful. Comfortable seating inside. Service felt slightly slow for it being a moderately busy tuesday night but was still well worth it.

walking in, immediately it's such a vibe ! The lighting the rooftop the layout -so nice ! The service was on point, the girls are super sweet and attentive. The drinks were okay, i sent my 1st one back and ordered a strawberry margarita with coconut cream on top and it was amazing. We got one of every taco option. My favorite was the pork. The esquites is a MUST, my favorite thing we got! The ceviche was gooood but wouldn't repeat. The churro ? Also a MUST. DELICIOUS!!!

Food had a great presentation. Manager stepped in and took care of our service as we had a rude complaining person nearby. View was exceptional! My favorite was the shrimp. I consumed it so fast that I forgot the pic. Ha

We walked in around 5:00 PM, and there were very few people in the bar. We had a party of six, so we sat down at a table and waited. After sitting there for a while without anyone coming over, I finally went to the bar. Shortly after that, a waitress came to our table, so I went back and we placed our order. Then came another long wait, we waited about 20 minutes just to get our drinks, even though the bar was nearly empty. On the bright side, the drinks were great. I ordered an El Carajillo, and it was really good! The horchata crème in it was SOOOO good and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service issues continued. When the waitress brought the check for me to sign, I realized she had not returned my credit card. I had to track her down to get it back, and while doing so, I ran into another customer who had experienced the exact same thing. They have great drinks and normally provide a good experience, so hopefully this was just an off night. But on this particular Friday evening, with the bar barely occupied, the service definitely missed the mark.
