INCREDIBLE! The Overall Protocol is amazing! Charming, unique, they are all so talented and the fiddler makes it extra cool. We had to come back here a second time it was so good! Was here for a special event where the roof was reserved for a couple hours. There was live music, a band that was absolutely terrific, and great food that was part of the event also. My personal favorites was the caprese and the crab cake bites. Cass was our bartender and she was really great. Busy, but friendly and professional. I definitely kept her busy with my orders, (sorry!) Next time I'm here I am sure I'll get a chance to see one of the other floors, this was one of the nicer rooftops I've seen while on Broadway in Nashville. Will be back! read more

On the way back home we decided to try Ole Red again. This time we were at the Nashville Airport. My husband and I shared the chicken and waffles. Delicious! And our waitress was fantastic!! This was a return visit to Ole Red for me. My husband really liked it during our first trip to Nashville, so we made sure to revisit this time. The last time we were here, it was on a weekend. The entire street was hopping, but not this time. We were visiting on a weekday and things were unbelievably quiet. There may have been 40ish patrons in the bar. Don't get me wrong, people were enjoying themselves but in a much more reserved manner than weekend bar-hoppers. There was no issue reveiving service at the bar. No one fighting over chairs or even standing room. Wild Bill, the band that was playing this particular night was a bit much for the crowd. He was throwing his instruments up in the air and most definitely enjoying himself while on stage. They tried hard to get the crowd involved, but I feel like their music was a generation off for the patrons that night. Regardless, my husband had fun and that was the reason we were in Ole red. It was a nice way to end our vacation.... having a drink, people watching, and listening to music! read more

Flew in from Seattle for our first time in Nashville, so we *Had* to come to Ole Red first because we are huge Blake Shelton fans! We were treated like special guests by Michelle. We stopped into Ole Red our first night on Broadway and loved this layout! The two level viewing area was great and it made everyone feel like they were front row. Couples were dancing, groups were enjoying dinner and we were sipping on some beers. Nice listening music and a great set up to sit back and relax. read more

We visited on a Friday night and it was super packed! We had Michelle as our waitress, and she was ON IT. We ordered food and drinks, and she had them both out to us in less than 10 minutes, plus she was running checks and cleaning tables in the live music chaos. Our food was so yummy and hot & fresh! This is my first time at this venue and it reminds me of the Old Forrester Music Hall in Louisville. Limited seating, balcony views, and spartan decor. Full bar and large open concept with the possibility of dancing to the music. Several local patrons sitting near us filled me in more on the history of the property. Specifically, that it's not nearly as appealing as it used to be prior to changing ownership to a larger management group who apparently came in and "white washed" the place. They spoke wistfully of the prior decor and memorabilia that was removed and how much of the allure of the space was erased. After speaking with them, I wish I could have seen the place prior to now.

Ive come here a few times and had good service and food until last night. The bartender named Josh was extremely rude! He had a major attitude with my cousin. I stepped in since I was completely sober and tried to resolve the problem. He wasn't having it. I asked to speak to a manager she resolved the issue which was he gave us an extra drink that we didn't want and he was trying to make us pay for. I was very nice about it but he was acting like I ruined his life. He then talked to a security guard about us who then stood there and stared at us the entire time we were there. I confronted the security guard as we were leaving and he immediately said he was sorry it's just how he is! We stayed there only long enough to finish one drink while standing at the bar he had an issue with two other customers in a matter of 30 mins! I am a bartender and have been for many years and I would NEVER treat anyone with such disrespect as he did to multiple people last night alone. I read through yelp and see there are multiple complaints about him. He is in the wrong business and needs an attitude adjustment. He is also loosing out on tips for the other bartenders he's working with on his shifts.Ole Red will continue to lose business to the locals like myself if they continue to let their employees act the way Josh did. I will not recommend this place to anyone who comes into my bar looking for recommendations on which bar to go to next and I will not be back. read more

If you're looking for a lively spot with great food and entertainment in the heart of Nashville, Ole Red on Broadway is a must-visit. The restaurant has 5 stories of dining. We ordered the Austin Brisket Sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The smoked brisket was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the spicy chorizo hot link, tangy vinegar slaw, crispy onion straws, and creamy white BBQ sauce. All of this was piled high on a soft potato bun, creating a sandwich that was as messy as it was delicious. For our side, we opted for the loaded homemade tater tots, which were a decadent treat. Crispy, cheesy, and topped with all the fixings, they were the perfect indulgence to pair with the sandwich. The service was another highlight. Morgan, our server, was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting, including the bathrooms, which is always a plus. And of course, the live entertainment added a special touch to the experience. There's nothing like enjoying a great meal while listening to talented musicians perform right in front of you. Overall, Ole Red combines fantastic food, excellent service, and a vibrant atmosphere. This place is absolutely careless. They do not care about the well being of an injured person. My fiance cut his finger from a broken bottle outside near Ole Red. His cell phone has just died on him a second after he accidentally cut his finger. He went to the nearest establishment which was Ole Red and asked nicely to go to the restroom to get paper towels to stop the bleeding and to ask them to call for help. The security at the door let him in and as he was walking straight to the restroom another security started to tell and escort my fiance outside. My fiance was panicking as he was bleeding pretty bad for a finger cut and was just trying to get medical help. They escorted my fiance out and called the police on him. Instead of allowing him or walking with him to the restroom to grab the paper towels and rinse his hands they push him out. They didn't even have the curiosity to bring him paper towels or call the ambulance. They rushed him out and called the police as he was bleeding heavily. Where is the moral human thing to do here huh Ole Red? I believe they are discriminative or just very bad employees with no care for others who are seeking help or assistance. read more

I would give this place 10/10 if there were more options for stars! Reasonably priced food, and get a ton of it! Not to mention ridiculously delicious. (Highly recommend the Kiss My Country A** Quesadilla) Drinks are no more expensive than they are in my home town, even for cocktails (also the option for souvenir cups!) There's so many bars on Broadway, yet we found ourselves hitting this one to eat twice the few days were were staying in Nashville, AND we hit the rooftop bar. Which was elegantly decorated with a friendly bartender, whole different vibe from downstairs but both were an amazing time. Quality music too! The artist who was performing the night we were in was so much more talented than the artist who opened for the Jonas Brothers (which was why we were in town, for my girlfriend to see them at the arena) Now Blake, if you could please open one up closer to Dayton, OH that would be absolutely perfect! read more

AVOID THE ROOFTOP BLONDE FEMALE BARTENDER AT ALL COSTS! My friends and I went to the Rooftop bar at Ole Reds in Nashville and I got them a round of drinks. I accidentally ordered one wrong drink and tried to kindly get the bar tenders attention. She immediately just yelled "that's what you ordered." and walked away. She purposely ignored me after just wanting to ask for a new drink. Mind you, she was not busy. Her behavior was so weirdly aggressive! I finally held her attention and nicely explained I'd like a different drink and that is was my fault. After yelling at me some more she finally got me another drink and then grabbed my receipt before I could sign or add a tip (which of course would have been zero). However, I just checked my bank statement and she gave herself a 50% tip. SHE STOLE MY MONEY! I of course disputed it with my bank but will someone out there please not tip her on my behalf!? We were advised to check out Ole Red in Nashville during our visit, so we opted for dinner there. Our server provided excellent service, but unfortunately, the food didn't meet our expectations. To our surprise, when we received the bill, we noticed that they had added extra charges for condiments. Hot sauce, which was supposed to be included with our meal, was missing, and instead, the server brought us Cholula, not the Ole Red brand as advertised. Considering the already high prices for drinks and food, we found this additional charge for condiments to be unnecessary. Consequently, the unprofessional behavior of the manager and the subpar food make it impossible for us to recommend Ole Red, leading to our one-star rating. read more

This is by far my favorite rooftop place in Nashville. Looks like it was recently remodeled upstairs because it looks very modern. I've been there on a date and also with a group of friends and all the occasions were awesome. Staff is nice, bar serves pretty much everything you can think of and the food is phenomenal! I recommend the cheeseboard and the pretzel along with their signature mojitos. The views are beautiful as well. I recommend going there right before sunset so you can see the skyline with some daylight, watch the sun go down and then enjoy the cooler weather with the beautiful night city view. My wife and I are on vacation from New York and stopped for valentine's day and her 50th birthday. My wife LOVES Blake Shelton, and ole red(as she is a red head). The music was great the drink that was recommended to us was amazing. We were not able to eat as they were closing for a private event. But we understand. Our server Michelle was awesome. She recommended a drink from the menu that was perfect. Was right on top of refills before we asked and overall very nice and professional. I will 100% go back our next time in Nashville. read more

we were here all weekend and two times had to stop in the food was so good the first time we came back again my husband loves the meatloaf and Brussels were fire. Looks are deceiving! First, if you're going to list an appetizer as fried pickles and green tomatoes...the tomato to pickles ratio should be equal vs the fried green tomatoes being "more like a garnish" The fries were not fresh and the bacon on my sandwich was actually cool to the touch and the fat still white. We came to Nashville from California and Ole Red was our favorite honky tonk. After being closed for a private event, we made sure to come back and are glad we did. Our server was fantastic, the music was the best on Broadway, and the food was the best out of all the bars. Would recommend the brisket tacos to anyone there. Don't go to ole red. If you come to get help from bleeding to get help, they will let you in to kick you out and call the police and have you arrested. Of course, the black dudes let him in to go to the bathroom and the WHITE security card kicked him out and because blood went flying he gets assault charges. All they needed to do was let him try to clean up instead arrested him. Good job ole red. read more

We didn't have a good time at this bar. They told our group of 3 that we danced to aggressive?!? How can you dance with a partner too aggressive. We were very displeased that we didn't even get to finish our first beer of the night. Security needs to get a grip and be happy that we even came in to this bar on a Tuesday night. My very favorite rooftop spot in Nashville is this one. It was fantastic, the Oklahoma Onion Burger. I preferred the steak fries over the other option, which is Tater Tots or Fries. There's a bar on the first and fourth floors. The first floor is pretty open with minimal seating, so I'm assuming it's meant for dancing. They also have a live band set up on that floor. He is a total class act and the only reason we stayed. We made sure to tip him $100 to show our appreciation for his service, but management should take a hard look at the service standards being set by other members of the staff.
