Meh. There's 2 restaurants in Cambria Hotel and the food is not good in either. I think this is what is separating this hotel from the more elite. Love the hotel: super cute, friendly staff and plenty of amenities but the food is just not good. True Room has live music every night and the talent is pretty good. The drinks were ok, standard hotel fare. I had both a pineapple margarita and a seasonal flavor which turned out to be passion fruit. Really enjoyed that one. For food I ordered the southern Cobb salad and asked for no tomatoes. They brought it out with no tomatoes, bacon or scallions. Ok... so the bartender brought a side of bacon and I was ok with that. The salad was just ok. Between the reviews and what I ordered... not enough for me to return. I hope they revamp the restaurant and get a creative chef to push them into the next level. read more

I've been in the customer service industry for 20 years and first and foremost, ACKNOWLEDGE THE CUSTOMER. Even if you're crazy busy, look the waiting customer in the eye to let them know you see them. I was in Thursday, July 20th at 7pm. There was one other person at the bar and one drink being made at the well, maybe 9 people in the room. The bartender didn't look at me, sitting at the bar, arms distance, for at least 10 minutes, I know this because the guitar player went through 3 songs. It's difficult to avoid eye contact with someone for 10 minutes, so for that, I'm impressed. As a customer I was severely disappointed. read more

What a great bar! We are staying at the Cambria and this bar is conveniently located on the 5th floor! The live music is incredible and the bartenders are amazing! Kevin and Casey are very entertaining and pour some good drinks and will make your stay amazing! We are in from New Jersey and will be back again soon! It is very convenient because there's so much to do in this hotel! Definitely think about staying here when you visit Nashville and it is so close to downtown! read more

Good for bar food by the pool. Wanted to hangout at the pool, get some sun, ordered a Bloody Mary... wanted some lunch while we hung out. Got the Caesar salad with chicken it was huge even for 2 people to share... got chicken quesadillas they were decent. Service was great. We placed our order at the bar and they brought everything out for us to where we were at the pool. We had a good time laying out, having drinks, good food and good service and enjoying out sunshine and relaxing. read more

First things first. The restaurant is on the fifth floor and there's to be another restaurant on the ground floor, opening soon. Stopped in for lunch - turkey avocado sandwich with a Cesar salad with an ice tea to drink. Service was good but slow (apparently had to make the tea - in the South and not having it ready!). Sandwich was packaged meat with thin smear of guacamole (not avocado slices) with generous and fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onion. Despite presentation deductions for sliced turkey, this was delicious (even at $14). But the Cesar salad blew me away - large and with lots of freshly sliced Parmesan cheese. In fact will have the other half for dinner tonight. While I thought price was a bit steep considering the ingredients, the taste and overall atmosphere was great. Several TVs and live music at night with an outdoor seating / eating / drinking area might make this a great spot to hit after a Preds victory! read more

I am a bit surprised by the lower reviews here. I think this spot is great and the food was pretty good. We came here for brunch and had a capable and sassy waiter and enjoyed the experience generally. Would come back for sure especially if staying in the Cambria read more

Amazing live music experience! Rotating lineup of absolutely top-notch singer-songwriter talent with welcoming, friendly staff. Slightly off the beaten path of Broadway but by far the best live music we saw during our visit to Nashville. Great space also with comfortable seating and an outdoor deck. read more

I've stayed here a number of times and while the hotel is nice, the restaurant is horrible. Consistently the food is horrible and the breakfast portion size is a joke. For $14 you can get 2 2" chicken tenders on two mini waffles... the egg white omelette was soaked in so much grease I asked the waitress to take it back and just bring me scrambled eggs and toast. I was still charged the full price but I tried to eat the omelette and couldn't. There's a lot of good food near the hotel within walking distance. I won't eat here again. read more

Where do I begin? The Cambria Hotel itself is wonderful and the staff is fantastic. However, the bar/restaurant is atrocious. I stay at the Cambria on a regular basis - every time thinking, "maybe the restaurant has gotten better since it's still fairly new," - I'm not sure how much longer I can give it that excuse. If you're in a hurry, I suggest you go somewhere else. Service is slow, getting food is even slower, and the drinks... Save yourself the trouble and just get a water. This specific time, it took TWO HOURS to get entrees, which were cold. So it took another 45 minutes to get fresh food. At that point we all wanted it to go. I could possibly understand on a weekend, but today is Monday and not busy. read more

The music was fantastic, but food was really unsatisfactory, cold, and the staff were not very helpful. Also parking is atrocious and this makes this one of the hardest music venues/restaurants to get to. If you're visiting Nashville, I can't really recommend this place for live music. read more

True is a good size open space great for listening to live music several nights a week located on the 5th floor of the Cambria Hotel. The bar is set in the back of the room opposite the stage, with windows that open to allow for outdoor seating on one side of the bar. The patio also houses the hotel pool, so it gives off a party atmosphere during high season. We stopped in to listen to some local music and have a drink and appetizer. First off, they had me at Guinness on draft! Definitely a check in the plus column. It was happy hour, so we ordered two drafts and the fried green tomato/mozzarella small plate. The appetizer was nicely presented with alternating layers of tomato and cheese with a green goddess drizzle. My only suggestion is that instead of the raw red onion slices on top, I think peperocini would add much more flavor. We had a nice time and my husband paid the bill while I was in the bathroom so I didn't see the receipt until we'd left. Now for the check on the negative side. We had been charged full price for our drinks and appetizer, although we had ordered off the happy hour menu for all items. So we ended up paying about $10 more than the bill should have been. (we also bought a drink for someone else which added to our bill). So definitely check your bill before paying to make sure they honor the happy hour prices. read more

A MUST visit while you are in Nashville! It's located at the new Cambria Hotel on 8th street. Fantastic atmosphere with a very impressive rooftop view of Nashville! One of my big takeaways was most certainly the attentive staff. They have a bartender named Kevin who knows Nashville inside and out and will be your best source of "Must Do's" during your stay here. That is if you even want to break the great conversations had at this relaxing hidden gem! read more

The restaurant is very nice and the hotel is fantastic. However the service is horrifically slow. It took about 90 minutes just to sit down and have some appetizers and when we got our food it was cold. The food is overpriced but that is expected because it is downtown Nashville however for the price it is not that impressive. read more

Was with a group for girls in town from Minnesota, immediately connected with the sweetest bartender named Jerica. Her service was too level and she brought Minnesota Nice to the Nashville scene. Will definitely be back to visit True Music room and Jerica next time im in town! read more

This place is fun! We stayed here and Melissa at the bar is awesome. Took us a little while to get our food but the wings were good. Wings are so easy to screw up so that was impressive. I have nothing bad to say about True! read more
