Honestly, I was pretty shocked by how much I didn't enjoy The Catfish Dock. I was in town visiting my family for Thanksgiving, and one day had to take my Dad to the ear doctor. Afterwards, we ran over to The Catfish Dock for some lunch. The service was fine. Everyone was friendly. I have no complaints on this. But that is probably where the positives end. The food just wasn't any good. The catfish wasn't very good, the hush puppies were OK but hard as nails and colder than a well digger's. Honestly, the catfish really kinda churned my stomach a bit, and that's saying something because I love fried catfish. I will not get be getting it from the Catfish Dock moving forward. The bathroom didn't have any light. I had to use the restroom in the dark and then wash my hands with no soap or paper towels, and then open a door that didn't lock. Hard pass. read more

I had a very nice lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was very good and everything was clean even the bathrooms. All lights were working. They supplied soap and hand towels. The place was buzzing. All I can talk about is my experience and it was just fine. I was craving some catfish, and they delivered. The food hit the spot. Hush puppies were cold, slaw was bland and both pieces of my fish had a long hair rolled and fried in the batter. That's nasty. Service was soso girl didn't move very fast. There aren't a ton of options in Muhlenberg County, and Catfish Dock is one of the better ones. Hasn't been touched since it was built, except for they ripped up the carpet and now the floors are just concrete with carpet glue stains. Service is small town friendly, but slow. I had the clam basket. Great portion size for the price. Good flavor and most of them were cooked appropriately (only a couple of strips were too chewy to eat). Food is fine. This review would be a 5 star if only in comparison to the competitors in the county. 3 is a stretch if you've ever been anywhere else in the world. read more

Good service, lousy food. It was cleaner and the upholstery appeared to have been replaced/repaired.

The food was very bad. My husband's chicken planks were microwave chicken planks. My BBQ sandwich was heated up on a griddle and it was burnt along with the bun. So the very nice waitress brought me a hamburger, which I thought they surely couldn't mess up, BUT they did. Again, the bun was put on griddle so toast BUT was burnt to a black char. The ONLY good thing with our experience was the very very nice Waitress. We won't be going back or recommending this place to anyone. Bad. read more

The catfish is excellent, melt in your mouth, but the portions (4 small pieces) look pretty scarce on the melaware plate. The cornmeal coating was perfect, but the tartar sauce was Kraft in a package. The little baked potato was accompanied by Daisy packaged sour cream. Rib tips were great, the sauce smokey, this portion is reasonable. Server was nice, but clueless about anything else, including if the fish was fresh. It is, but I had to ask someone else. She couldn't even tell me why the silverware was in a plastic bag. I would have expected more for what we paid. read more

I would not recommend coming here. The food was horrible and so over priced. Someone with me ordered the toco salad that was supposed to come with a shell and beans but they didn't bring either out and still made her pay the same price as they menu price even after she asked about it, they told her (we don't put that with it anymore) even though it said it on the menu. The fish was grey and the lady I'm assuming was the manager was not nice at all. No one hardly ate there food. Microwave frozen food. Food quality is really low. My wife's rice and green beans were cold and her grilled chicken was obviously pre-frozen and heated up in the microwave. Dining room is clean but bathroom was nasty. Wait staff are attentive. There was some loud buffoon spouting "What Obama screwed up in eight years, Trump has fixed in one year!" at a nearby table. They have good hush puppies , slaw is really good. getting waited on is easy and simple I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who was looking for a good catfish dinner, or anything else on their menu it all looked delicious and ours that we were served was excellent. read more

Visiting the area while staying in a vacation rental on Lake Malone. Our kids really wanted fish since they have been fishing all week. We decided to stop here for lunch to fulfill their craving. Because two of us are medically fragile we have not eaten in a restaurant for the past six months. To be honest, we were nervous to expose our at-risk kiddoes. However, our concerns were immediately lessoned upon entering the restaurant. The tables they are using have been separated by tables that are clearly marked to not sit at, spacing everyone in the building large distances from each other. The salt and pepper and other condiments are in individual containers and/or being cleaned before delivered to the table. The food was delicious and a good quantity for the price. The fish was so hot one of us burned our mouth (another plus for staying safe during COVID). The only complaint would be a lack of Malt Vinegar, but to be honest, I am the only one in our family who would ask for it. Thanks for a great first meal out in many months. read more

I chose one because I couldn't choose zero. Had to ask multiple times for tea refills. Waited forever for our food. Crab legs were cold and the smallest I've ever got at a restaurant. Forgot my fries. Took forever to get them had to about walk into the kitchen to get fries. Tea was so weak it didn't taste like tea. Waitress probably should choose another profession.
