Steak with French Fries and Baked Potato
    Lee P.

The misses decided on this place for a midweek date night and it did not disappoint! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in you get hit with a real hometown bar feel with fun small town style decor and even a couple pinball machines.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After walking through you will be seated by someone and wait a short bit until ordering. We had Calamari rings but I unfortunately did not grab a photo. The steak was good with great flavor and cooked to exactly how I asked. The catfish was moist but crispy and hot straight from the plate. The hardest part about eating here was trying to keep our 16 month old from robbing things off of our plates! (Hence the double potato order on the steak) All around 2.5 people walked in hungry, 2.5 people left with bellies full and a doggy bag for a good lunch tomorrow.

Stop along the Pork Tenderloin trail. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is a lot larger than you would expect with your fair share of regulars in dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was waiting for another person and had 3 separate people ask me if I have been waited on which made me feel great about the service I was about to get. Had the fried shrimp as an appetizer and it was very good and had a good amount of shrimp as well! Ordered the pork tenderloin and it was better than any of the stops on the trail. The juiciness of the pork is unlike any other tenderloin I have had before. Definitely a 5 out of 5 pork tenderloin. Will for sure be returning!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The meal I got was alright, that's about the best way I could describe it, the gravy was to much and not that great, the meat was okay it was a bit bland, the mashed potatoes were pretty good they were smooth but with a bit of texture to it that made it taste good and made the gravy taste better, the meat was on bread and the meat fell apart which made it harder to eat but was a nice experience, I think there was to much butter on the bread along with to much gravy on the bread making it soggy, the fries though, they were the best, I haven't had fries that were that good in a while, in all though this place was good, not great, not bad, but good, the atmosphere and service were comforting, the people there were nice, I would recommend people try this place[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Location was a bit out of the way...decor was very fishing and hunting decor with dead animal heads... ummm...service was a bit lacking..looked like our waitress was also the bartender ..brought HUGE portions (glad all I had was a side salad...) Dean ordered a ribeye sandwich with French fries (MEDIUM) it came out Moooooooo-ing and bloody (I faint at the sight of blood) he did manage to get her attention and reiterated that he requested "medium" opposed to rare....they tossed it on the grill and brought it back to him 15 minutes later (I was done by then) he snacked on the HUGE order of gizzards (overwhelming ...and enough for a small village) we took two to-go boxes home ...we wanted to try the new location ..I was disappointed...we won't be back....tge vibe was not what I expected...

This place is definitely a mom and pops hidden Gem. Good service, good food! I hate how ducked off it is but most places that are hidden are pretty darn good. I ordered the southern style catfish with fries and salad. Everything was made fresh to order and the portions were pretty big for the price ( we love that) I left over full and probably should've taken my food to go but it was just too good and I knew it wouldn't be the same later lol. I'll definitely be returning. I 8/10 recommend.

This was my first time at Catfish lodge. I have to say I'm super disappointed that I've lived in Bellevue for over 6 years and I've never been here! I got the combination platter. It was fried chicken, catfish, shrimp, and walleye. Plus two sides. Everything was so good! I paid $23 for the meal which is very fair. Honestly it was the best fried fish I've ever had! Then the fried chicken was super crispy and juicy. All of the meat was seasoned to perfection. The shrimp was the only item that wasn't great. The service was amazing! The atmosphere screams blue collar. It was super unique. I would definitely recommend going up for lunch/dinner. Even if you don't live in Bellevue this is a place you drive to.

I came here yesterday with my husband, my experience was decent. The staff were alright. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean & definitely gives small town vibes & I loved that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most of the food was delicious! We got their calamari & it was incredible! I loved their homemade seasoned ranch sauce! My husband ordered their blackened salmon & it was also very delicious. The only thing that bothered me was one of the items ordered with my meal. I had ordered their combination which came with Catfish, Chicken, Alaskan walleye & SHRIMP. Emphasis on the shrimp. The Catfish was delicious, loved the breading, very fresh & juicy fish. The chicken was dry but had a great flavor which made up for it & the Walleye was also delicious, juicy & I loved it.. the shrimp? Disappointed & dissatisfied. As you can see from the photo below they're small popcorn shrimps which is fine, but it's SeaPak. Aka the frozen premade brand you can get from Walmart & quite literally make at home for less than half the price. Yes I know we're in the middle of the us & shrimp is harder to obtain without freezing, it's just the fact that they use SeaPak instead of buying shrimp, using their flour/breading they ALREADY use in other seafood dishes & just frying up their own shrimp original to them. There's nothing credible or unique about using prepackaged & prebattered store bought shrimp, it doesn't differentiate from other places. It's one thing to buy shrimp from the store, but to not even make your own batter & to just fry up some Seapak & claim it as your own? Hell no. I go to a restaurant to get something I can't necessarily access & easily make at home. Something original to the establishment. Paying for overpriced SeaPak was not enjoyable & bothered me if anything. & the price they also charge for it? Horrendous. You could get 2 packs for the price of 8oz basket they charge. In the future I will not be ordering shrimp from here, beyond disappointed from that point. I even asked one of the waitresses what shrimp they used & she blatantly says "Seapak, one of the few things not made in house." I recommend getting their other seafood options that THEY actually MAKE themselves as they are delicious. Same with their sides, also fantastic. Overall rate a 3/5.

    Catfish "strips"

I called a to go order in today after looking up this restaurant on Yelp, and my dad and I decided fish sounded good today. I called them to get a few facts, and called back with my order based on what they told me and the menus I found on line. I was specific on what I ordered especially for my 85 year old father. The restaurant gets tricky by claiming the catfish comes with (I heard them say two) three "strips" of catfish, which I took as a fillet cut into smaller strips. Their strips are whole fillets of catfish and 3 of them is a fish and half worth, and when I ordered it I said I wanted the smallest one for Dad and they said that was the small one. I ordered the larger Walleye and it was big, but the problem with both meals is that they were soggy and greasy. I'm pretty sure they had cooked the fish & fries for the buffet they had going and they had sat under the heat lamps for a while. I had shown up about 10 minutes after I called and I checked the meals 7 minutes after I left with my food, and they were barely warm. I paid $46 for a quick lunch, and usually for Dad and I it's usually around $30. I called and complained to the lady who took my order and she argued with me on the sizes of the meal she quoted, and told me the menu and prices on their Yelp site was someone else's. She told me I could talk to the owner the next day and didn't offer to make anything better including the old food she served me. I spent close to 30 years in restaurants including a place that sold all you can eat Fish & chips and Oyster & chips so I know when the fish has been cooked and stored correctly. Bottom line is that they're deceptive about their portions, prices, and quality and argumentative in their customer service. Unless they treat their regulars better I'm not sure why they're still open.

They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

It was every bit as good as I had hoped. Shuck's knows seafood--and they know how to make dining fun. From their lively, engaging servers to their inviting atmosphere and unique menu offerings, everything comes together to create a memorable experience. Most importantly, the quality of the food consistently shines through. My wife and I ordered the Deep South Risotto, a delicious combination of fresh shrimp, Andouille sausage, and green beans tossed in a spicy, creamy risotto. We also enjoyed the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, featuring perfectly cooked teriyaki-glazed salmon served over a blend of brown rice and red quinoa with tender sautéed broccoli. Paired with Shuck's famously ice-cold draft beer, these excellent entrées made for the perfect lunch before heading over to Big Ten Baseball at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. My real hang up with our visit was the server situation. We weren't truly adequately waited on and to be honest it was a little odd. When we were seated we were told our server would be right with us. After 11/12 minutes of just sitting there the gal had come back and asked us if our server had ever come over, which we told her he had not. She explained that she would take our order and then switch it to him later on. She grabbed us drinks, took our order, and delivered our food. Shortly after getting our food, our server came back to us while simultaneously putting on a coat saying that she was leaving and that he would be our server now. He never came back until it must've been obvious that we were looking for our check (keep in mind that our meal took a while to eat because crab is work). The funny thing was that a third server brought the check! It was a weird situation and honestly for the price of the food, service she be better. The food overall had great flavor and the portions were a good size. We tried the calamari and then for our daughter ordered the fried rice and lobster bisque. Everything was pretty good. My husband and I both got crab; I did the garlic butter and he did a spicer Cajun. He said his was great but unfortunately the corn with mine felt like it just was pulled from the fridge. I think this restaurant has great potential but they really need to brush up on service. I'm a little iffy if I would return.

I've been to this location before but it's been a while and we really enjoyed coming back. Came in on a Saturday afternoon when it's fairly typical to have live mariachi bands roving the restaurant. The restaurant is large, and has a fun fiesta of decor. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated without reservations. It should be noted that they will take reservations during the week, but not on weekends. There are a number of large tables that can accommodate bigger groups. Complementary parking lot is available out front. However, it does get a little tight during their busy times. This is an interesting Mexican restaurant as it reminds me of something more typical of what you would find on the Yucatán peninsula. Shrimp and mixed ceviche dishes, a large variety of fish dishes, including whole fish that are very traditional for that part of Mexico. They also serve excellent salsa and guacamole, however, this is not the type of Mexican restaurant you can order dishes of queso, or some of the more traditional dishes that you would find at other, more Americanized restaurants. Our server, Christine V was super! We got there a little early in order to secure a larger table off to the side since our infant granddaughter is going to be joining us for a birthday celebration. This restaurant well they don't allow you to bring it outside cakes for dessert offer a variety of desserts that can be offered for special occasions. We were able to select a strawberry Tres Leche cake, which was just perfect for the occasion. We also enjoyed their margaritas, which were excellent and offered in the variety of enormous proportions! Everything that was ordered, was generous in quantity and delicious and quality that included a variety of fajitas and shrimp dishes. This location also offers seafood rolls that are prepared at a sushi counter. For those that are a little less brave there are a number of options that offer everything cooked and prepared just like you would find in any local sushi restaurant and as good. The one thing I also love about this restaurant is that it is immaculately clean. There's a dedicated crew that roams and never leaves anything unbussed for long. Everything appears to be wiped, sanitized, and swept in between every round of customers which is brisk. The manager came around and checked on us to ensure we have everything we need and offered us to go bags. Everything about this visit was very positive.
