Came for an early dinner the other day with a group of 6 and it was really nice inside! It wasn't super busy but the music was a nice touch! The food was okay all around. I'm not sure anyone had an amazing bite but the menu was large so there is still potential! I will say the one thing that stood out the most to me was the flavor. If the menu item said chipotle, Parmesan, honey, etc then that flavor was there and you could not get away from it! I had Parmesan in my potatoes and salad and it was overpowering. And my friend got the chipotle potatoes au gratin and said he could barely get the potato flavor. We all had the three course meal and most of us got the steak. We all ordered at different temperatures including medium well and they all came out rare or just uneven. It was good flavor and it wasn't too chewy so we all just ate it with no complaints! Along with the three course meal was a mini dessert so we all tried each and they all fell flat. We did get them to-go so maybe that had something to do with it but even a simple brownie wasn't anything great. Went here for the first time on my birthday for lunch. We were seated right away, and our waiter came to the table shortly after. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and plenty of seating. We ordered the lobster spinach queso as an appetizer, and it was delicious. For my main course, I chose the wood-grilled salmon with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. While the dish wasn't anything particularly unique, it was very well prepared and tasted great. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. read more

I've been here many times, and always had an amazing experience! I absolutely love the salads here, they are some of the best in town. The rest of the menu is exceptional as well-- ever when I bring here loves it! The chicken pasta is definitely a favor, as it's the lobster dip appetizer. Service is always good, and I can typically get a table, or make a reservation if needed. I will say that their salad is to go are not nearly as good, in my opinion. Overall, a great holiday dining experience at Firebirds. Excellent service, well prepared food, and a nice atmosphere. Not too many signs that this is actually quite a large restaurant chain; it felt like it could be more of a neighborhood restaurant. Our group ordered steaks and they were perfectly cooked and had really nice grill marks on them. One thing my husband noticed was that his meal probably sat under a light for a while because when they put the butter on the steak, it really didn't melt it just stayed as a room temp lump. When he said that, I realized that my steak wasn't piping hot either. Still good, but would've been better served a little sooner. Another little tiny thing to note p was the size of the broccoli florettes on the plate. At least half of them were far too big to eat in one bite, so I ended up having to cut them down into smaller pieces. It's a small detail, but it's nice when sides come out for them to be ready to eat. That said, the broccoli was delicious and perfectly cooked... Not too soft, but not too crunchy and had nice garlic flavor. The bread that came out ahead of the meal was pretty bad. It smelled good, but it was almost impossible to cut into and was super crunchy and hard on the outside. Between that and the excess of semolina or something similar on the top, the texture was just too difficult to eat. Our server was fantastic. She was friendly, prompt, and got everything correct. I've been to Firebirds a couple times over the years, and it has always been a very pleasant experience. The food was amazing as always. I tried the Colorado chicken salad this go around, and it was super yummy! The chicken had a good smoke flavor, and the salad dressing was tangy and sweet with a bit of citrus. The salad had a good blend between savory and sweet. Everything paired well with one another, and made for a filling/satisfying lunch! The inside of the restaurant has lots of seating and perfect for any occasion. The waitress was very helpful and attentive, even though you could tell she was busy. I would highly recommend this restaurant, I got the 12oz ribeye ordered medium and fruit. The steak came out medium well (I am perfectly happy with that) but they offered to recook a new steak for me. After I refused they gave me a dessert on the house which I was happy with even though I was content without it Even with the steak being more on the well side it was not tough and easy to cut into and chew.The service was very quick and the food was hot. I haven't been to Firebirds for long time since I have been review food on Yelp. This afternoon, we came in around 3 pm. just to avoid the busy time and get best service from this nice restaurant. We ordered salmon salad and Ahi. Food was delicious, I very like both dressing in the Ahi appetizer, and the acid in the salad. And for the salmon on the salmon salad was a little oily on the outside but salad was very delicious. Nice environment and atmosphere. Unfortunately, i came to try their signature bread but the waitress told us that it was out for the whole week. I felt little bit sad that I went in during their break because the waitress took orders and served out foods and left forever. I was little bit disappointed because we was waiting for her to come and check on us or refill our water until we finished eating and we wanted to order togo too. We waited for another 10 minutes after we done eating then i stood up and walked to the lady at the bar to grab our waitress. I thought she was gonna say anything or apologize but she didn't. I haven't ever been to Firebirds until this winter. We came without reservation on a Sunday, but during winter break, so it was still busy. We were seated within 15 minutes. What a beautiful interior. Homey, cozy, but with large ceilings, giivng me ski lodge/resort vibes. We started with drinks, and a starter. I got the spicy marg, and ahi tuna to split. The Ahi Tuna was INCREDIBLE. Wow that could be a meal in itself. The salad dressing was divine. Moving on to my entree, I got the honey glazed chicken with veggies and fries. Two large chicken breast and two heart portions of veggies came. I had requested fries, so that came out as well. Everything was very impressive and tasted better than expected. Absolutely amazing dinner tonight at Firebirds in Omaha. The ambience is perfect, not too bright, and a lovely fire when you walk in. Hostess was sweet and efficient, and got us to our reserved table quickly. We decided on wine and a Woodford old fashioned to start. Paul was an absolutely fantastic server, and was helpful and friendly without intruding. For dinner we enjoyed the bleu cheese filet and the cajun ribeye, both cooked to perfection. Wow, this place was really packed on a Saturday evening! Good thing my party of six had reservations. I don't usually get this far west so this was my first visit here. I opted for the bleu cheese filet with a side of broccoli and a mixed green salad. My steak was phenomenal - loved the bacon and mushrooms but it could have used just a bit more bleu cheese. The salad had a nice tang with the cilantro lime vinaigrette and I was not familiar with jicama before but it added a nice touch. Our group shared the lobster spinach queso and bacon deviled eggs. The candied bacon really made it. We had a cozy corner booth large enough for 6 people. Our server was really busy but still professional and attentive. We stopped into Firebirds during our anniversary week to have a nice lunch out. The food, service, and ambiance truly fit that bill! The vibe of Firebirds is very upscale with lots of dark woods and sleek leather booths. Our server was excellent and gave some great recommendations when we were deciding between a few items. We started with the Bacon Deviled Eggs, and they were gigantic. This app came with three whole eggs, halved, so six halved eggs. They were basic deviled eggs, but with a candied, crispy bacon on top of each egg-half. The sweetness and crispiness of the bacon definitely counterbalanced the richness of the egg extremely well. In addition to our starter, we had the bread service, which came warm and toasty and with a creamy butter on the side. A wonderful little start to the meal! Entree-wise, my husband got the Cajun Ribeye, which came with a chili crust and was topped with Cajun butter. It was cooked perfectly and was actually pretty light tasting for being a bit cut of steak - and was of course delicious. His meal came with a Caesar salad, and he is very picky about his salads. He said it was fantastic, with the Caesar dressing layered on each leaf of lettuce, and not swimming in dressing or skimping. I had the Lobster Fondue Salmon, which was a good sized piece of salmon topped with a creamy lobster sauce. It was DECADENT and hard to finish, it was so filling and tasty. For my side, I chose the Southwest Au Gratin Potatoes, and they were scrumptious and super creamy with layers of sliced potatoes all simmering in the little dish they bring it out in. I love au gratin potatoes normally, and these really stacked up against some of the best I've had. Highly recommend, if you're going and choosing your sides. Even though we were stuffed from our lunch, we were there on a special occasion so also did have to spring for a dessert. I'm a lemon lover so I chose the Five Layer Lemon Cake. SO GOOD! It was a super flaky cake with lemon gelee on top and lemony frosting between each thin layer. It also came with a small side of blueberry sauce, if you like a little tartness to cut the sweetness of all that lemon.
