Always a personalized touch. Today, they surprised us with a couple heart-shaped hush puppies at the bottom of the hush puppy bowl. And check out these onion rings!! We eat here all the time. The Grilled Catfish is the best!

Got the All American which comes with 4 fillets. It must have been an awfully small catfish. I got three sides which are super small as well. Lunch is the best option as when you get a dinner to go you get screwed over big time. Won't be back again for a to go dinner order, but might do another lunch as you get more food !!!!

Friday is for catfish! You had me at buffet! Went here with a friend and our wait time was less than 10 minutes. Our waitress Theresa was great! She was so friendly and welcoming. She also made sure our food was correct. We got the buffet that came with three sides. I ordered fried green tomatoes for my appetizer. They came with a sauce on top. They were a good size. The fried green tomatoes needed a little more seasoning. My string beans were a little sweet but still tasty. The pinto beans were flavorful and I can see myself getting them again. The fries were good with enough salt. The catfish was fried well but needed a little more flavor. Thanks so much Theresa for a great time

I like the feel here but admittedly the decor feels a little dated. The service is really fast and friendly though. Nice people and the menu is straight forward. My grilled shrimp was great. And my catfish WOULD have been great but I ordered the spicy. Now I like a spicy batter but it seems it's a regular fish filet with an abundance of spicy dry seasoning shaken on top afterwards. I guess that could work but it made the fish taste super salty in my opinion and over powered the dish. My wife got the burger as it was on a special, she felt the same way about the grilled onions on the burger. The base product seemed great but the onions were cooked down in a very strong sauce and there was a lot. She scraped most of it off and the burger was fine. One thing that is an absolute delight here.... The free hush puppies they bring out and you can't leave without trying their jalapeño tartar sauce! Excellent. 3.5 if I could give half stars. Might be better off offering the "spicy" seasoning in a shaker on the table rather than piling it on in the kitchen. That alone could've made the difference in three and four stars for me.

I've come around on this place. First, they just added a bar with seating (CHEERS TO THAT). Second, I just had the fish and chips. OMG. It was an enormous filet, battered and fried perfectly and the fries were great. I think I ate the ocean and half the Idaho potato crops. I'm going back and exploring the menu more. BTW, the service was as super friendly and quick as I've experienced on prior visits.

My bf and I decided to make the drive up to Georgetown to try out their Catfish Parlour location after the Central Austin location closed last year. He has had their food several times (and raves about it) so I was interested in seeing what the hype was about. I am not a huge catfish person, but do appreciate good fried fish every once in a while. I ordered the All American Plate (spicy seasoning) and he ordered the 2 Pounds and Pups combo to have leftovers for days (that's how much he loves their food!). One thing he appreciates is their ability to swap in gluten free batter (and the hush puppies are gluten free too to my understanding) I thought the catfish was excellent- not too greasy, perfectly seasoned and the meat flaky and tender. The jalapeño slaw was very tasty and my gosh, I think hush puppies are my new favorite thing! We took our meal to go since they were closing, but the ambiance seemed like a warm and inviting restaurant and I'm looking forward to eating there in person one of these days. Will absolutely be back again!

As promised, I'm on a quest to find the best catfish from California to Texas. It happened to be the coldest rainy night of our trip, but my sweet family did not deny me the trip. As of now, once again, the fried catfish winner is... Catfish Parlor! Im never disappointed, to revisit, try again and again, always with the same experience, crispy fresh catfish, I wouldn't change it if I could. Not one bit! But let's talk hushpuppies. When you're seated, you'll be greeted with a bowl of hushpuppies that cannot be imitated. Ive tried the copycat recipes... nope! Ive tried hushpuppies from here to California, all good, but none as great as Catfish Parlor. These hushpuppies are the length and width of a finger, soft inside, crispy outside... and that tartar sauce! Just dip and eat. Try to control yourself because the best catfish you ever had is on its way! I personally love their jalapeno tartar sauce. The catfish is good and as crispy as it can be without drying out the tender fillet in every bite. Hubby was excited about his Texas size shrimp. Yes that too was perfect! I will be enjoying it for breakfast. And until next year when I return, thank you, Catfish Parlor!

The website mentioned reservations but accepting walk-ins also; my wife made a reservation for 8 at 7:40p, and that turned out well, as the couple in front of us hadn't done so & went out front to wait. We had a very attentive waitress, & sat on a raised stage by the window which was cool, but note: tall chairs there maybe not great for short legs. When she poured our water we didn't have to request, she left the carafe, which I supposed was a labor saving idea --until she came back repeatedly and refilled our glasses with it! It aided our date night that the two flat screens had artworks displayed not a basketball game or Chive videos of folks getting injured for 15 seconds of fame. Menu is in the upper middle price range for us but we did an easy work-around to get some upscale food, anyway:: We ordered a bowl of gumbo from the appetizer list, with two spoons; (yeah, been married 41 years)... Arrived perfect temp, not to hot to dig right in. The 6 crab claws broken to expose the meat were a nice touch we've never seen; we try everyone's gumbo: prolly the best we've had recently if ever. Continuing that theme, we shared the 14 oz Japanese style (name recipes me) new horn strip, truly too much for one normal appetite: the already flavorful tender steak was helped even more by a unique brown sauce with capers: and my Dad said a good steak doesn't NEED any help. Well, this steak was so good let's just say "the sauce was gravy." We like Brussels sprouts broiled; so my wife asked when ordering the steak, which comes with creamed sprouts, if they could be broiled: instead our waitress asked the chefs who actually flash fried them with salt and pepper, perfectly, with crunchy outer leaves & al dent inside. My wife ordered a 14.00 glass of Pinot noir; the cool wine glass was a generous size --and filled generously. We like the pretentious wine descriptions from the backs of bottles; bartender let us take a photo of the label but suggested the "vivino" app to get the lowdown on any wine. Finished off sharing the bread pudding with rum soaked yellow raisins, great flavor without excess sweetness, and thanked our waitress Katy.

We also shared the coconut shrimp -- really good. I almost forgot -- my kid's burger came with French fries and they were great -- I stole most of them. KIDS: At first, it didn't seem like a particularly kid-friendly spot (I didn't actually see any other kids there during brunch on a Sunday). However, we felt very welcome with our two toddlers (3.5 and 1.5). They have high chairs and a kids menu (a mix of fried seafood and usual stuff like hamburger). Additionally, both our waitress and the manager (who were extremely kind and understanding) both mentioned having kids as well. SERVICE: Excellent. Our waitress (Sarah, I believe) was very nice and attentive. The manager stopped by to see how we were doing -- also very nice. The hostess? I'll let you guess... also very nice. Even held the door for me when I was leaving since I had a small baby stroller (believe it or not, that's somewhat rare).

Awful customer service. Especially when making reservations…read more I go here a lot, because I like dry aged steak, but I can't get over the customer service around reservations. As a combat vet, I feel uncomfortable AF eating in the middle of a tiny and cramped dining room. The dining room is so small and packed here that I'm surprised that the fire marshal even allows that many people to be sat in there. Still, when I ask for a booth and say that I don't want to eat in the middle of that tiny dining room when I make a reservation, I find it odd to be sat in the middle of the dining dining room only to see that there's multiple parties that were just sat in booths and haven't even gotten their drinks yet--like, they were just sat before us (and we were on time for our reservation). I think you could have a little more respect for your customers is all. For that reason alone, you're not worth the price of your half-baked pretense in my opinion. You get a one-star for that reason alone. On the quality front, the ribeyes I get are more and more consistently riddled with connective tissue and are hard to eat, with a lot of waste. Not exactly the quality of meat cut one expects for the price. Sometimes they nail it, but I'd say at least a third of the time my ribeyes are almost half scrap. The quality seems to be diminishing since I first started frequenting this place. So, perhaps your supplier sucks. Idk. Pick your meat better if you want to demand higher prices. I think I'll stop coming back at this point. 2020 Market has good steak, too. Only I haven't dealt with so much connective tissue in my steak there. And also, I haven't had issues with my reservations there. So you lose me to your competition after having gotten so much money out of me. Consistent quality and customer service could maintain such consistent regular customers in your sales. What a weird way to lose customers. Your whole business is customer service and cooking food well. Do better.

When we got there, we opted for a table along the wall. There was only one other table occupied, so I was happy that it was likely service would be good and fast (which it was). We were seated and provided menus to review and our server brought waters for us right away. The selections on the menu are wide and varied. Not only do they serve Pho and vermicelli dishes. but they also have a variety of fried rice, Chinese dishes (think orange chicken, sesame chicken, etc.). There is a small menu for kids as well. No beer or wine options, so we stuck with the water. We ordered some roast pork spring rolls, my wife ordered the Pho Tai Chin (rare eye round, steak and brisket) and I opted for the Pho Bo Vien (meatball). The spring rolls arrived quickly and were served with a cold peanut sauce. The sauce was not as thick as I've had at other restaurants, but it had decent flavor. The spring rolls were large and stuffed with noodles, lettuce, and roast pork pieces. The pork could have been sliced thinner, and it made for some extra chewing. I suspect they just use the roast pork from the grilled pork vermicelli. Our Pho arrived in large bowls along with a generous condiment plate of cilantro, sliced jalapeños, Thai basil, limes and beansprouts. There was chili crunch, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce, and Siracha available on the table as well. I tasted the broth before doctoring it and was a bit disappointed in the lack of real Pho broth flavor. I do make my own using a recipe I got while in Vietnam, and this was nowhere close to what I've made or have been served elsewhere in the past. It was weak, none of the cinnamon or star anise flavors, and I had to load it up with salt, white pepper, a generous amount of chili crunch, and even a bit of Siracha sauce. While it still didn't bring any of the true Pho broth flavor, it did make it more tasty. The bowl had chunks of meatballs, plenty of rice noodles, onion, and once I loaded up on the cilantro, basil, jalapeños, beansprouts and lime, I was ready to dig in. My wife agreed that the broth left a lot to be desired, and she didn't finish hers. She used the Hoisin to dip the meat into as it had little flavor otherwise. I ate most all of my bowl contents, but left most all of the broth (which I usually finish if it is good). Overall the experience was good. The service was great, the prices are comparable to most Pho places these days (I remember when I could get a bowl for $9.00 not too long ago instead of the $16 these days). Will we be back? Probably, but not for the Pho or any of the Chinese and Thai options on the back of the menu. I'd like to give their vermicelli a try. One recommendation: have an option for a smaller Pho serving size. I mentioned it to the server and he indicated that young people like the large servings... OK but what about us older folks that don't eat near the amount we used to. Atmosphere: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Food: 7/10 Value: 8/10

The flavor was beyond imaginable, and that bread was the perfect combination of toasted on the outside and soft on the inside. Oh my my. Meatballs: Pretty good. Nothing stood out good or bad with these. Margherita Pizza: Delicious flavor, but be prepared for a lot of oil! Chicken Carbonara: great flavor, and the best we've found locally. Greek Salad: I love a good Greek salad and this was one of the best I've ever had. So full of flavor and really fresh ingredients. Sandra's Inspired Eggplant Tower: We were told this was being pulled from the menu and I can't understand why. It was absolutely delicious! I'll be ordering it again and again, so hopefully they have the ingredients!

A friend and I enjoyed an early lunch at Tony & Luigi's on a recent Monday. This is my favorite…read morearea Italian restaurant, and they have a nice lunch menu. We were quickly seated in a booth as requested and given ample time to decide on our orders. Warm dinner rolls were delivered, with a container of seasoned whipped cream cheese. I ordered a (half) spicy chicken sub and the add-on soup ($1 extra). Add-on choices include fries, small salad, or soup. I was very pleased with the soup available that day. It was a thick chicken and corn chowder. The sub was awkwardly constructed, and its contents easily spilled out because the chicken was cut into chunks rather than being left whole. This made it difficult to eat. My friend had a salad with chicken atop and said it was very good, but she didn't care for the fresh mozzarella. Service was very accommodating, food good, atmosphere very pleasant. I will certainly return.
