Went for their fabulous no contest best gold margarita any where around and had 1/2 dozen mystic oysters which were great and the grilled fish tacos. They were more than enough for two of us, we took home leftovers and this was only 1/2 of the order. Nice hot, crunchy and a delicious sauce to top it off! Loved them. Would not order to go, but great on sight. Always a pleasure here. Our favorite Georgetown restaurant for sure!

Came here with my parents and niece, when we arrived there was almost no customers inside, maybe 3 other people. They sat and took our drink and food orders right away. We waited almost 40 minutes to be served our food, we saw so many pairs/families come in and be served their food before us. We kept being told a few more minutes or that there was 1 ticket ahead of us. We didn't understand how we arrived before everyone yet waited so long to be served while everyone around us was eating. It was about $102 for 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and 2 grilled bass. The food tasted great as my family are big seafood eaters, but the wait was so long.

There was no wait time for seating. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Our server Charles was excellent with personality plus. Our appetizer's were Oysters on the half shell from Maryland and Calamari. For our entree Snow Crab & Shrimp Boil and Blackened Salmon with Dirty Rice Garlic Spinach. The food was served heat hot with lots of flavored seasoning. You will not find another place like this place for your fish and seafood delight, every single bite was so delicious. The staff members are all like free entertainment. When we're back in town from California we will definitely stop in. You guys are awesome!!!!

We are fairly regular visitors to Fish City, and our group of 4 asked for a quiet booth on arrival. We were seated in the back, at the same booth my husband and I had happily occupied a few weeks earlier. Everyone in our group returns for the food quality and reasonable pricing. The restaurant continues to deliver on these, but on our most recent experience on a Tuesday evening we had a combination of poor service and noisy employees (related to where we sat, perhaps). In the back of the restaurant there are 3 booths near the kitchen. One booth is directly adjacent to an area where the manager and employees talked, one rather loudly. Fortunately for us, a booth across from ours was open so we moved. This helped somewhat. On this visit, my shrimp po boy and fries were way too salty, bordering on inedible. Also, we were quite disappointed with the service this visit, particularly given the place was not full when we arrived. Our initial waiter (who was great!) had moved to bartender duty and those following up dropped the ball. We waited a very long time for our checks. In the past we'd noticed the manager working hard with others. This time she seemed less present. Maybe there was a shift change during our visit. We just know our overall impression wasn't up there with previous visits. It may be awhile before we return.

Ate here, in person, for the first time on 3.14.26 Previously we had ordered on DoorDash, and we were not let down!! When we ordered on DD the food was still warm/hot enough, and it was soooo delicious. My fish and chips were so flaky and tender. My boyfriend's po'boy was STUFFED, and the red beans and rice were even good. Last night we decided to try it in person (because we knew it would be so much tastier when it's fresh and hot). It was all delicious!! Definitely going to be back again. The restaurant has a nice diner vibe and the color scheme was very nice. Lots of seating and a counter/bar. Our waitress was very informative and helpful, Sarah is a great lady.

We came for the $2 oyster happy hour. All the food was tasty, fresh, and a great value with large portions. Our waitress was awesome. Will definitely be back!

Went here tonight for dinner. It was so so so good! I got shrimp tacos with black beans and white rice and a glass of Italian wine. My husband got grilled shrimp and a margarita. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My taco plate came with three very full tacos on very fresh tortillas. The beans and rice were perfect. The wine was very, very good. Our server was Jen. She was perfect! She explained the menu to us. Learning of my dietary restrictions she promptly got me a gluten-free menu to make my ordering a little bit easier. She helped me customize my meal to meet my dietary restrictions, to the point of checking on the cooking and making sure it was done correctly. She was kind, our service was prompt. She checked on us. We could not have had better service! They have half price bottles of wine on Monday! Now I have a reason to come on Monday! They have different specials all the time. Tonight they had a cod special that looks really yummy. They have many tables and booths inside and they have a beautiful bar. There's often times waiting to be seated, but not at the bar, you can always sit at the bar if there's a spot available and they will serve you there. So put this evening in a nutshell, service, outstanding! Thank you, Jen! Food amazing! I can clearly say I love this place I'll be back!

I've been to this spot several times now, and the food has consistently been on point. This visit was no exception. I ordered the scallops and shrimp with spinach risotto, and let me tell you--it was impeccable. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and honestly, I found myself wishing the portion was bigger because it was that good. I also snagged a bite of my friend's grits and was absolutely blown away. Hands down the best grits I've ever had in a restaurant--creamy, buttery, and just the right texture. The service was a bit on the slower side this time around, but it seemed like they were a bit understaffed. Despite that, our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and very apologetic about the wait. The ambiance gives off a classic diner vibe, with a cozy and casual feel. They also have a covered outdoor patio, which is a nice touch if you prefer dining al fresco. I'll definitely be back--especially for those grits.

I have the best experience here every single time I come in. I usually swing by multiple times during crawfish season. Sometimes twice a week lol. I get half Cajun butter half nitro. They are huge this season. Epic pricing too, at $8.99/lb, it's the cheapest in town (probably in the whole Austin area) and they are delicious. Fatty, plump, everything I want when I crave crawfish during the season. The staff is so friendly and kind. Every single server, host staff, manager I've come into co tact with has been exceptional. The outdoor seating is my favorite vibe.

The website mentioned reservations but accepting walk-ins also; my wife made a reservation for 8 at 7:40p, and that turned out well, as the couple in front of us hadn't done so & went out front to wait. We had a very attentive waitress, & sat on a raised stage by the window which was cool, but note: tall chairs there maybe not great for short legs. When she poured our water we didn't have to request, she left the carafe, which I supposed was a labor saving idea --until she came back repeatedly and refilled our glasses with it! It aided our date night that the two flat screens had artworks displayed not a basketball game or Chive videos of folks getting injured for 15 seconds of fame. Menu is in the upper middle price range for us but we did an easy work-around to get some upscale food, anyway:: We ordered a bowl of gumbo from the appetizer list, with two spoons; (yeah, been married 41 years)... Arrived perfect temp, not to hot to dig right in. The 6 crab claws broken to expose the meat were a nice touch we've never seen; we try everyone's gumbo: prolly the best we've had recently if ever. Continuing that theme, we shared the 14 oz Japanese style (name recipes me) new horn strip, truly too much for one normal appetite: the already flavorful tender steak was helped even more by a unique brown sauce with capers: and my Dad said a good steak doesn't NEED any help. Well, this steak was so good let's just say "the sauce was gravy." We like Brussels sprouts broiled; so my wife asked when ordering the steak, which comes with creamed sprouts, if they could be broiled: instead our waitress asked the chefs who actually flash fried them with salt and pepper, perfectly, with crunchy outer leaves & al dent inside. My wife ordered a 14.00 glass of Pinot noir; the cool wine glass was a generous size --and filled generously. We like the pretentious wine descriptions from the backs of bottles; bartender let us take a photo of the label but suggested the "vivino" app to get the lowdown on any wine. Finished off sharing the bread pudding with rum soaked yellow raisins, great flavor without excess sweetness, and thanked our waitress Katy.

The ham and eggs Benedict was borderline flavorless and the egg white was cold and runny. I love a good poached egg, but it was more liquid than poached. The tequila sunrise was musky and the flavor of the tequila overwhelmed the rest of the drink. I really wanted to like this place! However, I spent $35 on a pretty pitiful brunch meal. The restaurant seating area and decor were all nice. The bathroom had no music and is small and cramped (you can't get paper towels without either blocking the door or a stall). The people were kind and attentive enough that I probably would try it again? Maybe Sunday brunch or a different meal entirely.
