Visited restaurant on 1/10/2023 and ordered the catfish and shrimp special. It included 16 fried shrimp, 16 catfish filets and two large sides. My sides were dirty rice, which tasted like white rice and hamburger meat, and French fries. The food was mid at best, but the prices were fair. read more

SOOOOO GOOOOOD! I've had the pleasure of visiting this place four times this year and have been so blown away every time! The catfish is amazing! The service is excellent - same friendly girl helped us each time (long hair with green hair on the bottom - a sweetheart!). Visited 8/4 - Nice corner spot w/drive-thru (plus-plus). Had a taste for seafood for lunch and didn't wanna sit in so I gave 'em a try. After the fist bite, I was trying to eat and drive, that says something! I'm a stickler for fried shrimp and fish and I must say, very tasty - light batter....liked the sweet corn hush puppies. I think I've now been here 4 times for crawfish and hush puppies. That's my thing. And a soda. One time I took it home to eat on the back porch in some good 65 degree sunny weather. I am so tired of ordering my food and when it arrives it is missing multiple items or the order is wrong. Uber Eats and DoorDash get handed off a sealed meal and don't bother to look at ticket for drinks etc. This is now the last 4 orders that I have gotten and charged foe items not received. I wouldn't have even considered stopping if it wasn't for the reviews on Yelp. So glad I did, it was awesome! The place was clean as a whistle, even the hot sauce caps... The food was perfect - catfish, shrimp, and frys were all seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. It was like a backyard family fish fry. I got the fish and shrimp snack tray and the size was perfect. What makes it even better is that it's attached to the gas station, that's how you know you have a winner Prices were extremely reasonable and all of the staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a fancy sit-down restaurant, this is NOT it. However, the food is very good and fairly fast. They do have a few tables so you can eat in IF IT IS NOT NEAR CLOSING TIME!!!. The first time we went there, we arrived about 45 minutes prior to their advertised closing time. As we sat down to eat, the staff started putting the chairs on the tables and sweeping/mopping. When we left, STILL BEFORE CLOSING TIME, our table was the only one left to put up the chairs and wipe down. A couple days ago, we went back. It was 65 minutes before "closing" time. When we ordered, they informed us that they stop having "eat-in" at an hour before closing so we had to wait in our car for our order and drive home to eat it cold. Again, the food is great, but the service at the end of the day is significantly LESS than expected. You would never see one of the big name restaurants rushing folks out at an hour before closing. We had the fish & shrimps basket with a side order of fries, so much food enough for 2 ppl. The seafood was consistently fresh, crunchy battered but not greasy at all. I love that the food not salty like tycajun fried seafood, just right. The hush puppies were surprisingly yummy, crunchy outside soft inside with pieces of corn and slightly sweet. Soooo good! I drove through quickly at 11:02 am (2 mins after they opened) and got the best crawfish pie I've ever had! (in Texas, at least) only $4. It came with a soup thing on the side that was great too! Tonight was my last time ordering from this location. The staff appears to have a problem getting phone orders correct. Whether this is a result of not paying attention to the customer on the phone, or a lack of competence in the kitchen, I cannot say. But when I drive 10 minutes each way to patronize your establishment, I don't think it's asking too much for the order to be as submitted.
