It's always busy when I go there and when I went on a Saturday, parking was hard to find in the parking lot. But there is street parking and a church next door that has parking. I had a good overall experience at Cypress Breakfast House, though the service could definitely be improved. We ordered the Breakfast Burrito, Benedict Buenos, and Chicken Fried Chicken & Eggs, and all of the food was great. The teas were also really good. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. It felt like we were being rushed, which was frustrating considering we made a reservation and waited just like everyone else. Our server's demeanor came across as rude at times, although it's possible she may have been new. For example, when she asked if we were ready to order, we began listing our items, but she abruptly told us to hold on because she wasn't ready. Later, when I finished my tea, she informed me that refills would cost extra, which I didn't mind paying for, but the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily harsh. To add to that, when I tried to pay with Apple Pay, her card reader wasn't working properly, and instead of resolving it at the table, she asked me to get up and pay at the front register. Overall, the food was excellent, but the service and communication could use improvement. A more welcoming and patient approach would make a big difference in the overall experience. read more

It's alright. That's all I can say. If I had to choose between this or Denny's, I'd go with Denny's. It is a pretty busy and popular place. So make sure to get there early and put your name in for waiting. My wait was less than 10 minutes. I started off with coffee. They did leave me the pot which is a plus. Coffee was a bit weak. Stopped in for a quick breakfast and it hit the spot! We got there not long after they opened and were seated right away. The place has that comfy, local diner vibe. Our server was super friendly and on top of things--took our order right away and kept checking in to make sure we were good. The food came out fast (like 10 minutes tops!). My omelette was loaded with toppings and just the right amount of cheese. The croissant was fresh, buttery, and super filling. My husband and I have lived next to this little mom-and-pop spot for over a year and a half, and I'm embarrassed to say this was our first time finally trying it out. All I can say is -- we've been seriously missing out! Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and came out hot and surprisingly fast considering the place was completely packed. There were barely any open seats inside, so we decided to sit outside, and honestly I'm glad we did. The weather was perfect and even though we were the only ones out there for a while, our waitress still gave us amazing service. She checked on us often, made sure our drinks stayed full, and never made us feel forgotten just because we weren't inside with everyone else. This used to be one of our favorite places, but hadn't been here in quite some time. This was our first return in a couple of years. Be aware, there is very little handicap parking and a lot of folks who genuinely need handicap parking. I really wish they added more parking spots devoted to this. When we walked in the place was vibrant with about 60% full with the remaining tables needing bussing. This isn't really unusual as this place is extremely popular and there were many people that left at about the same time. We had to wait about 4 minutes for a table but were seated with a server we'd had it the past, Chris. One of my favorite things about Cypress Breakfast House (CBH) is the drinks. If you order a pop, you get a glass full of pop and a mini carafe full of pop. This is also true for iced coffee. I got both, I can only drink coffee to a point. My dad ordered the "Eggs your way" with eggs over easy, bacon crisp, with toast & I ordered the Eggs Benedict. This is one of the few places where when one orders "Bacon Crisp" they actually get bacon crisp. The food was good, but the eggs were cool, even the Eggs Benedict. The eggs seemed to have sat for a few minutes before we got our food. Our server Chris was amazing. She was prompt, polite, efficient, and stopped by to check on us at the right time (eg when we didn't have food in our mouths). She was quick with the bill and processing the credit card. The ambiance was bustling and there was a ranger of generations from people who were younger to people who were older. Good southern breakfast spot, with all the comfort food we love... chicken and waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, Benedict eggs, etc. It gets really busy, sign that the food is good! I got there and the wait was 30 minutes so come with time! The food is really good, the pancakes are fluffy and moist, the coffee is delicious, everything was great! My favorite was the breakfast sandwich, definitely delicious! The service is ok, not the greatest but not terrible. But definitely there is room for improvement. Found this place on Yelp :) First of all this place is rocking on Sundays for breakfast that they need a bigger parking lot and more space in the restaurant because they had families lined out the door, it continued down the sidewalk. We were very lucky to get a set for my husband and my self. We did have to wait about fifteen minutes them to come get us. You have to give them your phone number so they can text you when there is setting available. I wish we could remember our waitress' name she was an older lady, very sweet gave us some menu item suggestions. They have a huge menu of both breakfast, brunch and lunch choices. We went with the Skillet portion of the menu, hubby got the Country Skillet and I got the Mexican Skillet. Both good just very potato heavy if you like your skillets that way then you will not be disappointed. I'm glad we found this place just not sure we will be back do to how crowded it was inside. I guess you should not go for breakfast after 10:30am. We did and were disappointed. First the coffee was probably the worst I have had. The chlorine was very pronounced. The eggs were ok but not really over medium. Really disappointed in the hash browns. They were very dry and almost crisp. Sausage was fine. Considering it was Mothers Day weekend and how packed it was the wait for seating was only 15min. That being said the parking lot directly in front of the restaurant can easily get packed. However it's in a big shopping center you have plenty of options if you're open to walking. Service was relatively quick and friendly. Diner type food. The food was all seasoned and cooked perfectly. We came to have breakfast for Father's Day. We were told there would be a small wait so I wasnt too concerned about that. We got called shortly before our wait time was up. Sadly, that is where our positive experience ended. It took a long time to get our food but again, they were busy so i want too upset about that, however, when my food comes out cold that's when i have a problem. I still at that point didnt complain. I ordered my hashbrowns to be extra crispy, they were limp and cool. They advertised free coffee for Father's Day so that was nice, until we got our check. I asked do they offer military discount and they did which is nice, however they double charged us for a beverage and still charged for the coffee. When i brought it to the waitresses attention, there was no apology or accountability. She simply said o i didn't put that in there, someone else must have. That was the last straw for me. We paid and left. Customer service is huge for me. I chose to support this place because it is a small business compared to a chain restaurant. I will not be going back. I don't visit cypress much but this breakfast spot definitely just made it's way onto my top 10 breakfast places. On the weekend there is usually a wait but it's definitely worth it. They take your cell number so you can walk around the shopping strip and or just wait in your car. The service was great our hostess and waitress definitely delivered great customer service and super attentive. We had iced coffee and not only did we get a glass of coffee but they brought over an additional small pitcher to refill!!! Bottomless iced coffee anyone!?!
