Great shop. We are from out of town and Mike was very accommodating and got us right in when we had a check engine light on. They found the problem and fixed a loose hose all in a about an hour at a reasonable price. The Lexus dealer charged $160 to read the code and replace the gas cap which was not the problem. Honest, helpful shop! I had driven to a Palm Springs conference and my engine light had come on during the trip. I called to try to get it in on Friday before my drive back home, he made room in his schedule to check it out. Of course the symptoms didn't show when I took it in and the engine codes weren't conclusive but they could've easily told me I had to have the throttle bodies cleaned or something with the codes that were showing. But they did the ethical thing and told me to take it to the dealer when I got home to get it checked out, they assured me I'd get home just fine, which I did. To top it off they didn't charge me for the 30-45 mins they spent diagnosing it! These guys treat people right, take your car here. read more

Good honest business and you don't find that in this industry very often. The first time I brought my car here I dropped it off for a tune up and brakes and when I picked up my car they told me I didn't need brakes. How many places would do that ! I took my car there last year for a check up only to be told by Mike that I needed a new transmission. I dropped it off with him and proceeded to get a rental to get me through until it was repaired. 3 weeks later and $598.00 later he stated that it was ready for pick up and said he was sorry for taking so long( he sent it to the transmission shop next door!) Well, he did say he'd split the car rental tab with me by taking the price down to $2,100.00, instead of $2,400.Ok so I have the car back and now a little over a year later I see that reverse isn't working so well so I took it back to him in October. He tells me that I need new motor mounts, like I am supposed to know that! Well Acura of the Desert quoted me $544.00 Mike said that He'd do it for $586.00 of course I chose Acura instead of him to save some money. They told methat whoever did my transmission put after market motor mounts on the car and that they were all broken or gone. How am I supposed to know these things. I'm trusting that this man is giving me exactly what I need and the proper equipment needed to complete the job. Well once again this did not fix reverse and Acura said mechanics said... "you need to take it to the mechanic who supposedly fixed it and tell him that he needs to make this right!" On November 28th, 2012 I took it to Mike and he called me that day and agreed that reverse ids indeed going out and is malfunctioning and he told me that it probably needs new bushings and that they would order them and see what else is going on with it. After numerous phoine calls pretty much telling me nothing and that the transmission is pulled out and is at the transmission shop next door and that guy hasn't shown up for work all week because he's ill Mike states"I'm sorry but, I don't know what to tell you, don't really know what's going on with your car and the parts haven't come in yet, and now I'm out money because it's next door with the transmission guy !" If he wasn't going to fix it in the first place or if all this was too much for him why didn't he tell so at the beginning before all this happened so that I could take it to a specialty shop or to a transmission specialist? I have been calling the shop daily this week of December 17th and Craig the mechanic of 11 yrs. there tells me that now Mike is sick and he has been off work all week long and that he's sorry that I'm going through all this and that it isn't right but what can he do? It is now December 21st ,2012... 4weeks and 2 days later my car is still there, Craig told me this morning that Mike is still ill and that I can't come picj my car up on a flat bed tow truck and take it elsewhere because the transmission is still on the bench with all it's parts scattered around and isn't put back together! Really? I can' t get a car rental because they're all reserved for Christmas week and a $30.00 a day car is now $70.00 a day so that's not affordable for me. He further stated that it won't be put back together to be able to be transported until after the holidays(mind you he didn't say driveable) he said put back in and tranportable. Seriously, if any of you think this is good business then shame on you! I have nothing against Mike or Craig, I just want my car fixed right the first time and not to have to come back again only to go through all this terrible mess of being hugely inconvenienced. I have had to walk to work and back home ,bike, and bum rideds for 5 weeks now and enough is enough! I want my car back and fully and properly repaired with all the correct parts and fully operational, that's what I paid you for the first time and I shoiuld not have to pay you again for a job not well done and not done properly! I was trusting you to fix my car properly when I entrusted it to you but that's not what happened for me! read more
