Hip coffee and tea joint in not-so-hip Scappy. Always has good tunes playing. Selection of books to read and big tables and couches for socializing. Recently expanded their hours to 5 pm M-S. Date bars are delish! read more

This place is an great coffeehouse. The large open space has lots of room to converse and great little corner of books and games for kids. They have a variety of pastries. Their menu is diverse with anything from honey lavender lattes to charcoal mochas. Limited hours so get there early to ensure they are open! read more

I came upon this coffee/book shop by accident when visiting the Scappoose farmers market. What a delightful place! It is large and open, with plenty of extremely comfortable seating, and numerous bookshelves with interesting and very assorted books, at great prices. But best (and most important) of all was the coffee. I had a decaf Americano that was perfectly excellent (not always the case with decaf!). My friend had brewed regular coffee that she also loved. We shared a pastry, a marionberry crumble on a shortbread crust - delicious! We noticed, but did not partake in, various breakfast/brunch savory items, including lovely foldovers. The pastry case, both sweet and savory, was well stocked with A large assortment ofhomemade items. Everything was very reasonably priced, and the baristas/servers were extremely pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend this place, either as a destination, or en route to the coast. read more

Best thing to happen to Scappoose! Coffee and other drinks made by excellent, friendly baristas with a variety of "milks" and in-house made flavorings available. There's always a delicious variety of pastries and savory quiches made in-house by the Cathedral bakers. It's just a great place to relax and read, bring a laptop and catch up on work, or just hang out with friends. It's available for after-hours gatherings and has become an integral part of the town. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the owner truly cares about his customers and the community. read more

Cozy little cafe with great atmosphere and WiFi. Their prices are a little bit spendy but the quality of the coffee and food here is really good. Other coffee shops in Scappoose and St. Helens come no where near the quality that Cathedral provides. I particularly enjoy the chai latte and mocha, and their waffles. I appreciate the soy, almond, coconut, and hemp milk options. I appreciate the friendly but not over the top service. I hope this place does well so they can extend their weekend hours. What Scappoose has been missing! Check it out -- you will be glad you did. Great menu, prices and seating. Family friendly. My 1-year old has plenty of places to sit and keep himself entertained. Their social justice convictions are evident and easy to participate with, but not heavy handed at all. This is a much needed addition to our town! It is so great to have a wonderful locally owned coffee shop in town! This has been super great for me to meet up with friends for that elusive "drink" we will always grab someday, as well as work with wifi. My only complaint is the lack of sitting and basic coffee house menu options. I had a pastry and an iced latte with a coworker to meet and work, but we had to move three times before we found a free table to sit up right and use laptops with. I think more tables/chairs seating, and menu options in the future (maybe even lunch sandwiches and soda?) would really put the cherry on top with this great new venue! read more

Very disappointed! I was excited to see a new coffee house come into Scappoose and even happier that they advertised serving breakfast. I met a friend there intending to have breakfast. Well, they do not serve breakfast and just had a few pastries to offer. Even at that I would have still been happy to have a place for coffee but the deal breaker was the rude staff. There were three people behind the counter, one at the register chatting with someone, one making a coffee and a third just standing around. We stood there for a good long time trying to catch the eye of any of them to inquire about breakfast and not one of them could be troubled to even look up and acknowledge us. I prefer to support local business but they kill themselves by hiring folks with no manners and not training the employees to be professional or even polite. I don't expect Cathedral Coffee to last long in Scappoose if they don't make some changes. read more

Great atmosphere and Wi-Fi. There's also a section with kids books so families can quietly engage. The staff is super nice. My favorite is their chai tea, a bit of a kick in the spice department and great for a cold day. read more
