Av toast with over hard egg...

Usually a line forms so a small wait. Coffee is ok. Nothing too great. And the last 2 times I've gone they made my drink incorrectly. Chocolate chip cookie is good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of tables to sit at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Delicious pastries and coffee was good as well. I got the raspberry lemon scone and it was very flavorful! The have a great assortment of huge cookies too.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Quaint coffee and bakery cafe. Appears to be a neighborhood spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Baked goods look delicious, but avoided due to calories. Non dairy alternatives for coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating, but crowded on a Saturday morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped by to check out coffee and we were greeted with cookies and baked goods. Pumpkin bread, Nutella donuts and gluten free raspberry muffins. They looked so delicious. We stopped by after lunch at 1:30pm on a Saturday. They still have lots of abilities of good baked goods. We ordered a Lavender latte which was subtle in lavender and delicious in the cold January rainy weather. My friend ordered a Golden Milk Steamer. Delicious. This cafe has wheelchair ramp at the front door. Does breakfast and lunch and snacks here. They even have hummus and salad here in a cafe shop. Lots of good flavors you can customize with any of your beverage orders.

We had just finished a bike ride on a cool, crisp fall day. We were ready to warm up with some lunch. We were actually aiming to go to An An next door but there were no tables available so we defaulted to Posies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was crowded too, with a continuous line to order at the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did happen to snag a table however, so my husband held it down while I waited in line & ordered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was very noisy in the echoey room with a full house. Sometimes I had to ask my husband to repeat himself across the table![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our Reuben's were fine. Nothing special. I can make just as good at home. They came with a cute little dill pickle and potato chips. (I had twice as many chips on my plate as my husband. So I shared some more with him). We had coffee and cookies afterwards which were delicious. We got one tahini chocolate chip and a chocolate dipped coconut macaroon. Both were very good as was the coffee. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but it is a nice little neighborhood restaurant if you're in the area.

We stopped in for coffee after a Saturday meeting. The staff is very laid back and polite. The atmosphere is very Portland. By that I mean eclectic, chilled and humble. I didn't buy any pastries however they appeared to be very great looking. I will make this a regular stop.

A neighborhood coffee shop in Kenton. The space is big with many tables but still maintains its coziness. There is a large pastry case with many sweet and savory options. They also do breakfast items and sandwiches which are good for lunch. We got the Cortado that were nice and strong. For food, we went savory with the Breakfast Sandwich that came with two sunny side up eggs, bacon, and cheese in toasty sourdough slices. Pretty decent, nothing amazing. We also got the Parisian Sandwich that had turkey, brie, pear, and mint marmalade. I enjoyed the novel combo here. They worked surprisingly well together. This came with a side of chips and pickle. All in all, pretty happy with our visit. Would be back to try their pastries out. Pro tip: if you're eyeing their pistachio cake, it's only available on Saturdays. Learn from our mistakes!

After having brunch at nearby An An (they don't serve dessert), my sister and I wanted a sweet treat and the staff at An A suggested a cookie at neighbor restaurant Posies. We walked right in and ordered almost 1 of almost every cookie - lemon, snickerdoodle, oatmeal butterscotch, tahini chocolate chip, sugar frosted, pistachio and the Mexican cookie. Worth it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely staff and simple seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], my favorites were the tahini, pistachio and butterscotch. Prices were right and service was quick.

Walking in less than an hour before closing, we were surprised to see most of the items still in stock! We ended up picking four things to try: Vanilla Bean Kouign Amann ($7) - This pasty has a sweet yet salty exterior that's complementary in flavor rather than clashing. It's accentuated with a crunchy glazed and caramelized sugar layer that's on the sweeter side. The interior is interesting. There's a cavernous gap right in the center that's filled with a sickly sweet melted sugar syrup. It's unpleasantly sweet and very cloying. The puffed and filled area is large enough that it compresses the other layers so the kouign amann is dense. I've never had a kouign amann quite this sweet before. (3/5) Meyer Lemon Olive Oil Cake with Thyme ($5.50) - This cake is so moist and rich, thick and dense, fatty and rich, that it feels like I"m eating a slab of butter. I'm sure it has just as many calories too! It's quite sweet, although not nearly to the level of the kouign amann. Overall, it's just a really rich and decadent cake. (4/5) Blueberry + Vanilla Cream Brioche Donut w/ Earl Grey ($6) - The top of the pastry is dressed with a cream that has an unmistakably strong bergomot earl grey taste. I wish there was way more cream - there's essentially only a dab on top! The rest of the donut is filled with a custardy light blueberry and vanilla jam. It's not too sweet and has an excellent high quality blueberry fragrance, creating an exceptionally strong blueberry taste. The jam is not too thick and is somewhat syrupy from sugar. The donut itself is really soft and extremely airy. It's the fluffiest donut I've eaten in a long time. (5/5) Raspberry Rose Cruffin ($8.50) - This pastry has some fun dehydrated raspberries sprinkled right on top of a light and fluffy cream that's not too sweet. The cruffin base is buttery in taste and great lamination even when filled with the custard and rose/raspberry cream. This is a heavy cruffin that's very filling. (5/5) Twisted Croissant certainly does some some really delectable treats. It's one of my favorite bakeries in Portland!

Crispy, airy, buttery and oh, so delicate, my raspberry cruffin was the dessert dreams are made of! If you've never had a cruffin... what are you waiting for?! It's croissant dough baked into a muffin shape. And the particular version I ordered today was filled with sweet and creamy vanilla custard and raspberry jelly. My mouth is watering describing this now, a true sign I'll be returning to experience this delicacy time and time again. There are three locations of Twisted Croissant in Portland, and this is the only one I've visited. The interior has a classic Parisian bakery vibe, clad in white subway tile from floor to ceiling. The bakery case in front of the store is beautifully stocked with fresh pastries, perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea. However, be advised, there are only two tables in the back of their public space, so it's not particularly inviting space to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Given the location, I assume there is outdoor seating in the summer months, but don't quote me on that. Regardless, run here if you haven't been. These baked goods are worth the visit!
