Visited this place for the first time today. I live near by and always pass it, but finally decided to pay a visit. It is very spacious inside and there is a bigger selection of chocolates than I had anticipated. The woman who owns it was at the counter and I was greeted right away. I went in to look for chocolate covered strawberries, which she had just sold out of, but she was quick to offer that she can take an order for some. I was quoted the price and thought it was a little hefty, so I declined. Looking around the store, I realized it was more expensive than I thought it would be. I purchased the milk chocolate bear claws and some chocolate pops. When I got home, my daughter and I tried both right away, and at that moment, I realized why they were a little expensive. THEY WERE AMAZING! The chocolate is so smooth and delicious. The bear claws had a chewy caramel that went beautifully with the pretzel and chocolate. I will definitely be going back, and often. Fudge was delicious. Service horrible. Waited 10 minutes for someone to even show their face in the store and it looked like they were taking a nap in the back. They had a bell on the counter but hidden behind things so it took awhile to find to get their attention and even then it took a few more for them to come out. Their cherries are a truly one-of-a-kind gem. The cherries are large, plump, and bursting with flavor. Enrobed in high-quality chocolate, they are filled with red wine or flavored liquers. The red wine cherries have just the right amount of liquor giving them a special, unique taste without being too overwhelming. Every piece of candy I have tried from here has been exemplary including fabulously buttery dark chocolate sea salt caramels with a perfect salty finish and chocolate covered glace apricots and glace pineapples whose texture was soft, juicy, and divine. All their items are lovingly handcrafted by expert chocolatiers. They have beautifully molded chocolate shapes around the holidays. Last Easter, I had particularly yummy white chocolate bunnies with a chocolate mousse interior. The owner is very kind, friendly, and welcoming. He will explain his candy making process, the kinds of ingredients he sources, and even provide a sample or two to whet your appetite.
