Very Southern and quaint. A Victorian type building with lots of character. You can eat inside at the bar or in one of the small dining rooms. Or sit outside in the lovely outdoor garden area. The staff was friendly and attentive. Now the food...everything from the soup to the chicken tenders were handmade. That tomato was to die for! So rich and creamy! Beautifully seasoned and rich in flavors! The chicken tenders were like small chicken cutlets hand breaded and fried to a golden perfection. It even comes with homemade honey mustard which is amazing on its own! We also tried the blackberry bacon and jalapeño sandwich...what? Wow! I cant even describe just how amazing, yet simple this sandwich was! Lastly we got the Park House club. Grilled and loaded with meats and cheeses! So scrumptious! We will definitely go back and can't try more of their menu!

It was my birthday and my mother took myself and my son out for lunch. I chose Cathy's Corner as I have eaten there many times and it was wonderful. On 12/23/20 something was amiss. The waitress was so unfriendly and told us they had 86'd breakfast already, which was odd because it is supposed to be all day breakfast until they close and we were there at 1pm. Anyway I order my son bacon and she said I am sorry we 86's bacon. I asked her how they were going to quit serving bacon if there were sandwiches and burgers that offered bacon. She then said well, we are out of bacon. So we re-did our order accordingly and instead of fries I wanted a healthier option so I substituted steamed mixed veggies instead of fries. My mother then ordered the chicken fried chicken with the steamed mixed veggies, and the waitress went and put our order in. We waiting for a little bit (not a long wait) and our food came out. I had ordered a club sandwich and I noticed it had bacon on it. I then asked the waitress about it and told her she told us they were out of bacon, she smirked and said well I thought we were. So I took my bacon off my sandwich and gave to my son. My mothers chicken fried chicken came out as 2 small chicken strips with runny gravy on top. My mom said this is not chicken fried chicken, the waitress then said yeah we are out of the chicken. My mother said why wouldn't you come tell me. And this gravy is not the typical CC gravy. The steamed mixed veggies were an open can of VEG-ALL which I cannot stand. Needless to say the meal was gross, and we contemplated on just getting up and leaving and honestly we should have. The food and service was the worst I had ever had and not typical of my past experiences at Cathy's. read more
