Me and my honey were looking to get our Female cat Sona a companion... by chance or I should say fate I ordered my Sona's food and supplies to be picked up curbside from Petsmart. Well my honey decided he was going to go in and look at the kittens there and see how the process of adoption worked and he met Stephanie who informed him that Sunday they would be holding adoptions. We decided on the cutest black kitten who was named "Cookie" as our new addition and he was thee perfect choice for our Sona! I don't understand people posting negative reviews for a cat adoption service. Catmandoo is staffed by Suzanne (who is wonderful) and volunteers who donate their time on nights and weekends to provide homes for animals that find themselves in unfortunate circumstances. I'm sure they're sometimes delayed returning calls... don't seem like that big a deal. Anyway -- My partner and I adopted our cat Tiger from Catmandoo after seeing photos of him posted by one of the amazing volunteers. We called and were promptly invited to come to the PetSmart to visit. We instantly fell in love with Tiger but were getting ready to leave for a trip. They held Tiger for us for a week and we picked him up the minute we were back in town. Tiger has been a wonderful cat, full of personality. We've had him for over a year now. Our friend who originally posted the pictures checks in on him and even watched him over the holidays for us! Suzanne seemed like someone who is genuinely interested in providing homes for these cats, and we found the whole process appropriately rigorous to ensure a good home. I like to share a few details about my journey. I decided for the first time to Adopt a pet from the SPCA, a cat I named Kourage. I had registered him and brought him home. Some time passed and one day he got out and was lost. I looked and looked no luck. I prayed that he was in the hands of love. I went months not knowing where he could be but keep a prayer in my heart that he may return. About 8 months later, I get an email that Kourage was fine. I was contacted by Susanne Miller who explained how she became involved along with another woman Tara who fell in love with the cat. It was amazing. We were able to do a one on meet and greet with him before we took him home and they were able to FaceTime with me when I wasn't able to physically attend in person. I've had 4 cats spayed/neutered with Suzanna and Stephanie. I only gave 4 stars because my first cat that I'd taken to get neutered, they cut off the tip of his ear (and by a lot too, very noticeable ) however, after speaking to Suzanna, I discovered that it wasn't supposed to happen at all, as they only do that with feral cats. There must have been some sort of misunderstanding somewhere along the line, and it's being figured out. However recently I got my kitten, my sisters kitten and my friends kitten all spayed/neutered. (The 3 kittens are siblings 7 months old). And we had no complications or misunderstanding whatsoever this time around. All cats had their ears in tact, all recovering smoothly and had a rather normal check up before their procedure (plus a few shots, deworming, grooming and cleaning). Over all, well done. I wish I could give zero stars. You're better off going to other orgs like nokill or stray cat alliance. We were more than willing to adopt a kitten but Suzanne suddenly said the kitten looked sick and will have to take her to the vet and keep us posted. We leave, and I texted a couple times in the following week and she just kept saying she will keep us posted and that was the last communication. I understand that these are rescues and she wants to make sure that they go to a good home, but I dont know if she has a thing against asians or what, but she decided after a 1 minute conversation that we were unfit to adopt. We even told her that we were looking for a companion for our current cat. Just from my personal experience, I'd say don't bother wasting your time. Searching for cats to adopt, we realized all the orgs seem to be connected as there were cross posts but we're having better luck contacting other groups so I'd advise the same for others. read more

Went here in hopes of trying to adopt a puppy. First I contacted Lynn a few days prior to inquire about the adoption process etc I got a quick response saying "all of the puppies are still available" With an application attached to the email. We showed up at 11 o'clock and asked about the adoption to the pet smart employee they said they are supposed to get at the store around 12:30 so we waited. About 10 min to 12:20 we see a long line start to form and were told that the people in line were waiting to adopt puppies...The adopters showed up and pretty much told everyone in line that the puppies were all accounted for and that there was a "list" of people that already signed up for them. Naturally everyone in line including myself were upset because there was NO directions as to how the process was supposed to go. All of our time was wasted for nothing when this process could have been easily taken care of by actually responding to people's emails/phone calls by saying "first come first served etc" the Lynn was high disorganized and to top it off the people that were in line that apparently had an application filled out had a puppy in hand and whoops I see them filling out an application when it was supposed to have already been done. And I have to mention this because I'm a person of color all of the people that I could see at least were white older people that adopted these puppies first and was on this secret list just food for thought . This was an absolute disaster good luck. read more

I wanna preface this by saying, wow! I can't believe there any negative reviews. Personally all I have to share is positive feed back. So about 5 months ago my boyfriend and I moved into our first apt together and couldn't be happier. However, we felt like we were missing something. We casually talked about getting a dog (not really a dog person he is) but I knew deep down I missed having a cat at home. Randomly we walked into petsmart just to look at the fishes and we were abruptly stopped by the sight of cats on display. We looked at all the cats but for some reason my attention was drawn to 1 specific cat, Ziggy! Ziggy looked so energetic and so full of life so I took a chance and asked if these cats were for adoption and If so how could I inquire. The first volunteer who helped me was so sweet, even though she was basically already done for the day she still took Ziggy out to show us her. My boyfriend and I both fell in love we would have taken her right then and there if we could have! Lol Anyways a few days later we met both Suzanne and Stephanie and they were both very helpful in helping us chose the right things for ziggy before we brought her home. I realized, after going to the same PetSmart and seeing Suzanne and Lynn. Why are all these dogs and cats babies? If ur a rescue, ur rescuing ALL fur babies. Right??? After I asked them, why this is?? I got a mountain of threats and disgusting harrasing messages. Sad!! When someone can't even ask you guys a question without getting bullied!! Stay away from catmandoo and Tommy's Little Angels. Suzanne mohller and her staff are very aggressive. Plus, u can just go to a shelter and adopt another fur baby that needs you. If ALL ages. Not just babies!! If ur a rescue, then rescue!!! Don't just bring in kittens and puppies !!!! Rescue the animals that need to be rescued!!! Sick ones. Old ones. Displaced ones...... read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. There are so many better options other than this place. One of the fosters in their system who socialized the cat and makes it home-friendly took off with two cats that I had donated to this organization. I was expecting to get both cats back after two months for adoption and had just left it with this system so that it could receive all of the shots and be more used to a home environment(this being done by the foster). When the foster took off with both cats, this place did not contact me at all for 1 month past the pickup date. They lied to saying that both cats were not suitable for a home and that they just were not "sweet" enough to ever be home cats, so that they could not let me adopt them. They kept up this lie for several weeks until one worker FINALLY told me that it was no longer in their system due to an issue. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. read more

We adopted two cute kittens - we are in love! Both kittens are sick with Coccidia and Giardia. When we followed-up with the volunteer, she said she thought might be the case. She knowingly gave us two sicks kittens. They both have fleas. She told us when we adopted the kittens that she had just given them flea medication. When we called the volunteer about the fleas, she recommend a flea medication. When we called the vet, we were told that the kittens were too young for flea medication. The whole process seemed very hectic, we were not confident of their ages and we with the exception of a date for their next vaccine, there is nothing in writing that provides us due dates for other vaccines and neutering/spaying. She may have told us, but as I said, it was a pretty hectic experience. This type of information should be in writing. Although the volunteer was very nice and responsive when we texted (she offered to take the kittens back to provide them their medication 5 days medication regimen), we have no confidence in her knowledge. In the past, we have adopted our cats from the city shelter. The Shelter does not give out sick cats. These two little kittens are now family members, we would never return them. Coccidia and Giardia are hard to get rid of and can be fatal. read more

I'm very insulted by the team here. I've tried twice to adopt a cat. I have a great job, a live in partner and no other pets. I've never given a cat to a shelter or declawed.. Ect. I've been looking for a cat each weekend. At all the local shelters and petsmarts. One weekend I went to Petsmart, fell in love with a kitten, filled out all the paperwork. Then the volunteer said I worked too much, I had to take two cats if I wanted to get such a young kitten. Okay, understandable. So I left, gave her my number, she said she would send me pictures of a cat she though I'd love. Never happened. So, two weeks pass. I give them the benefit of the doubt. I found a cat they were fostering online. He was perfect! Older, independent, looked a lot like a cat I had when I was really young. I called, no answer. Emailed, no answer. Texted, no answer. I go to Petsmart. Waited an hour. Finally, a nice woman acknowledged me - I asked about the cat. They said he was adopted to Las Vegas. Why is the ad still up? I'm guessing the lure people like me in. I texted the number one last time, saying there was no need to reply - I found out he was adopted. The answer? "He's moved to Las Vegas". The person had read every message as I sent them and chose not to reply til then (crazy how technology lets you see when people read text messages). How rude. How disrespectful. I planned on donating and adopting ... I'll be back to the shelters an NKLA. Never again. read more

A little more than a year ago I had some kittens in my backyard & wanted to get homes for them. I contacted all the well-funded, big animal charities & all said they were full & quickly hung up... one did offer to take the 4 kittens if I would pay the charity $600 per kitten. Then I called Catmandoo & Suzanne said she was full up, but if I could house the kittens, & they had shots then I could bring them to the weekend adoptions. Suzanne helped me to get the shots and with that my wonderful journey in kitten fostering began. I was impressed with how dedicated & tireless Suzanne works for the betterment of all the cats & kittens. Unlike the big charities, everything at Catmandoo falls on the shoulders of one person, so when you don't get immediate response just know she is bottle feeding 20+ kittens, feeding I don't know how many cats, cleaning up after all of them, trying to raise funds for medical, & other charity needs, handing the website, handling ALL the calls, etc. She is the most selfless person I have encountered. Tip: you get faster response if you text opposed to call or email, even then if you knew how much she does each day & with kittens you can not set them aside to talk on the phone. Catmandoo got amazing homes for my little fosters and in that time I saw how much Suzanne does - more than any one human should attempt -- so that inspired me to become a volunteer foster. Suzanne has been an amazing mentor and she has immediately responded to any sign of illness in the kittens or cats. She has been to my home many times to check on the conditions and often bringing me items to benefit the kittens. She is 100% dedicated to the benefit of the cats/kittens welfare. I've gotten to know many of Catmandoo fosters and each is so dedicated to giving the best care and love to make for happy, well-adjusted cats/kittens for forever-homes. It was a blessing that I found Catmandoo. You can not find a better place to adopt from if you truly wish to help rescue a cat/kitten. read more

They had his full medical records, and really new the personality and details about all the little kitties. I'm so lucky and blessed to have found Ms. Marilyn at Catmandoo. I found my kitten on the side of the street and decided to adopt her and take her into my home. I had no idea how to raise a kitten since he'd be my first one. I took him to get essential food and cat stuff. With covid and everything going on you think adopting would be a smooth and organized process.. but nope! This "rescue" is a joke and so disorganized. First of all on the adoption page was so confusing and luckily we emailed the right address and all we got back was "they are still available" and also luckily we saw the application in the attachment with no direction. So in every effort to understand the process day of (since there was nothing stated nor answered) we went per the confusing instructions to come to their event open to everyone. In arriving two hours before we say a line happening and decided to stand in it application in hand filled out. They finally showed up and made an announcement that if you didn't have a filled out application you will most likely not be able to adopt since there are people there with filled out applications. As one of the people I charge pulled those out of like who had applications including us. Once pulled we were asked if we were in a list. I told her no bc no one told us about a list and clearly those people had been in more communication with them then anyone, which again was not told to anyone. As we see these people (who happen to be white and older people who later we see filling out applications while holding the dog) who were on this magical list continue to walk out with puppies who also were up-charged $100 per the applications which stated they were $500. All in all these people claimed to not know it was going to be this crazy but then in the same breath say they received over 100 calls and email so they knew and didn't want to tell anyone and operate an extremely disorganized and dishonest "rescue" read more
