This restaurant is open till 1am. When you go in the restaurant is pretty cute; the art work in there is very pretty, and there is Spanish music playing. We came in and were waiting to be seated but no body came nor anybody said anything , so my husband said let's go to the bar. After we sat at the bar everything went well. Service was amazing. Our server/bartender Victor was the greatest; friendly, polite, helpful, super nice. The food was delicious! Both of our steaks were made to perfection and so flavorful. We will definitely be coming back....

Update! The tostones are fire! I got some on my birthday, and they were the perfect complement to the al pastor tacos. They're done Hawaiian style, which is large, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It's so hard to find those anywhere. If I'm wrong, PLEASE DM me!

I checked out Catrinas for the first time this weekend. It was a Friday evening and the place was petty empty. I sat myself at the bar and I had made it just in time to order a happy hour margarita and I was not disappointed. The menu has so many options but I decided on the birria tacos and the esquite appetizer. The esquite was very flavorful but I would've preferred if it was on the cob. The birria was so full and definitely not skimpy at all. I did find the birria to have an overwhelming amount of sauce/grease that I did my best to reduce before eating but the flavor and texture were on point. The shells were nice and crispy. The server was attentive but I think she may have been new. She didn't know much about the menu items but went to find out the answers to any questions I had with pleasure. I would definitely come back and try other things on the menu.

We gathered here to celebrate a birthday. There's plenty of parking. Nice, fun and colorful decor. It's a pretty spacious location. The bar offers plenty of sitting with TVs. To our surprise, there was live music. We got there with enough time to order from the Happy Hour Menu. I started it with the Catrina Margarita. Perfect mixed cocktail and a generous portion. Like it so much, I ordered a second one. For appetizers, we ordered the guacamole and queso fundido. Flavorful starters served with chips and salsa. I ordered the steak tacos with a side of rice and extra pico de gallo. Nice portion, enough to take left overs home. Our waitress was so nice and attentive. The manager was great and offered the birthday girl a shot. Thank you! The night ended with great dessert, Tres Leches and live music. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

I was strolling through the Florida mall today and decided to stop by for a quick bite at this restaurant. Juan the server was friendly and attentive to my request. Tried the Chorizo quesadillas and it was delicious! Mild and plenty full. Ambience is great!

Recently moved in the area and was craving some tacos. Catrina's was up the street and had great reviews. Upon arrival, the parking lot was a bit packed but the wait to be sat was immediate. We were quickly attended to and put in our drink order. I ordered the dragon berry mojito and it was a bit sweeter than anticipated. The chips and salsa came soon after and the salsa was top notch! They use roasted tomatoes which elevated the taste compared to your usual salsa at a Mexican restaurant. For dinner, I got the three Mexican tacos - one steak and two Al pastor. The al pastor was my absolute favorite. Sweet from the pineapple and savory from the seasonings and chilis. There was also a live band performing who got the crowd going and dancing.

I came into get some work done while waiting for my tires to get changed across the street. Immediately I noticed the photo op entrance, nice touch! I was greeted with a warm welcome and taken to the bar by my request . My bartender was excellent ( I can't remember his name it began with an F) My margarita was great, my food was great, the atmosphere looked so cool, I called my partner right away and left her know we'd be back soon for karaoke or live music or whatever the stage is for!

10/10 such a great restaurant/latin grocery store. The food came out in less than 15 mins from ordering it, our servers were super nice and attentive. The food delicious and freshly cooked. You can't beat the portioning and prices! The restaurant atmosphere is clean and definitely makes you feel like you're in Mexico. My boyfriend also got a regular size margarita and it is quite large! Overall enjoy this spot definitely stop by when you have the chance !

These are BIG portions! I thought I could take on 3 birria tacos but I had to tap out at 2 - they are very, very good! And definitely get the guac for your chips, it's delicious.

Great place on Saturday night. They had a marachi band playing earlier (which I missed) and then a singer with someone playing on the drums. A friend of mine invited me out and I had ate before I came but I said you know what, let me get the guacamole dip & tbh it wasn't great. Only thing I tasted was the avocado. Honestly, that's a red flag for me. If you can't make guacamole correctly than I doubt I would try the food. I loved the entertainment and hopefully the food gets a little bit better and than I'll dine in

4 stars for good food, good drinks and a nicely remodeled restaurant. After I tried Birria Taco's last year I have been on a bit of a Beria taco kick. These were good. The meat was tender and flavorful. There could have been more meat but that is just in comparison to other Birria tacos that I've had. The broth was also very good. The cocktail I had was very good. This drink wasn't super sweet. My husband said the steak tacos were also good, but he prefers strips. These steak tacos were pieces of steak. Good nonetheless. The inside was light, colorful and had moderne flooring. The windows were open and I loved the light coming in during the afternoon.

I came here to meet up with fellow Yelper Jordain to try something new, and we chose this place as it was semi-convenient for both of us and neither of us have been here before (although I was there when it was a different Mexican restaurant). Our server was attentive and checked on us regularly. I tried a mezcal drink called the Volcano and it erupted in my mouth with a smokey, fruity flavor. Delicious, although it (and the other drinks) were quite expensive for a place like this. Our drinks were bartender's choice based on some question the waitress asked us. They were talking in Spanish to each other, and my Spanish isn't that great. I had one of my favorite dishes, the Chori Pollo and the chorizo had a beautiful flavor and covered the chicken nicely. I also got a crunch beef taco which was delicious so this placed passed the test. The fusion part is they also have some dishes like Mofongo and other stuff like that, which isn't necessarily my cup of niqui. I stuck to the Mexican dishes. I haven't decided if I'd go back or not. It was good, but I enjoy other Mexican places a lot more. Drink prices at this place are a little high, but the food is good.

So I came upon this place it had great reviews so I went they served chips & salsa which were not so good I did order the guacamole dip it was phenomenal and I had the combination steak & shrimp this was very tasty so fresh and my favorite I had a Cattrina house margarita also very good! Definitely recommend and I will revisit when I come out here !!

Noir Bar is definitely one of my top BARS to visit on my short list of bars I enjoy immensely. I've…read morebeen coming since it opened, and I really cannot say I've been disappointed. The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

Otto High Dive was our next stop on my Magical Dining tour, and wow, what an experience!…read more My sister and brother-in-law were visiting, so we made reservations (definitely recommend). Parking was easy with free spots in the back and additional street parking. We were a little unsure where the entrance was at first, but a staff member outside noticed and guided us right in small detail, big impact. Once inside, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The restaurant was lively and busy in the best way. It's an intimate space, but beautifully styled very much giving South Beach energy. Our waiter, Louis, truly elevated the experience. He introduced himself, explained the menu thoroughly, and made great recommendations. We opted for the Magical Dining $40 three-course menu along with the $30 drink pairing, which included a drink for each course such a great value. My meal: * Appetizer: Fresh ceviche with tuna, avocado, and watermelon light, flavorful, and unique * Drink: Floridian Slip refreshing and perfectly balanced * Entrée: Ropa Vieja - rich, tender, and paired perfectly with rice, beans, and Cuban bread * Drink: Funky - fruity with a nice kick * Dessert: Maduro Bread Pudding - sweet, warm, and indulgent * Drink: Coquito - smooth and the perfect ending Every single course was thoughtfully prepared, and the drink pairings complemented each dish beautifully. Overall, everything from service to ambiance to food was amazing. I'm already planning a return visit to try their happy hour menu!

I'm really glad we tried this place, but probably won't be in a rush to come back anytime soon…read more The parking is a tight shared lot, so you might get lucky and find a spot, or park across the street and walk over like we did. Our reservation was at 7pm and we didn't get seated until almost 7:30pm. The place itself isn't very big, it's cozy, cute and I liked the vibes but when the other couple we were meeting with showed up it did feel a little crowded by the host stand. The host was nice enough to give us a menu to browse while we waited and someone came to ask us what drink we would like to sip on (i really thought they were offering us a free drink for the wait, but later saw we were charged for them, no biggie but would have been nice considering we waited so long) Drinks were all so so good! No complaints there. We started with the smoked fish dip and ceviche which was different than your typical one, but refreshing! I had the skirt steak - it was flavorful but definitely heavy on the salt. I still really enjoyed it as well as the rice & beans. Hubby got the ropa veija which he enjoyed. Our friend got the osso buco which he liked, but said the chicharron was not good at all. We then had some pastelitos for dessert! They added a 18% gratuity to the check, which was fine and I appreciated them telling us as well as circling it. Overall I think it was really good but nothing out of the world, you can find similar food for much less at your other local Cuban spots - what sets the place apart is the drinks and vibes so if you're looking for the whole experience then it's your place.

We looked over the happy hour menu (good all day on Monday nights and Tuesday through Friday 5-7pm). We ask Mel about the "Bartender's Choice" selection under happy hour drinks. She said the bartender will mix a drink of their preference. The customer cannot choose the alcohol or any mixers as the bartender makes the decisions all by him or herself. Mel asked if we had any allergies or any other issues that might affect the drinks the bartender would like to make. We said we did not and we decided to take on this "choice" experience. Serena was the bartender of the evening and she did an amazing job. She mixed up various concoctions for us throughout the night (we ordered a second round after the first one) and we enjoyed every drink she prepared. The presentation of the drinks were also well done. Serena's cocktails consisted of bourbon, rum, and various ingredients which could include bitters, lemon, agave or other cocktail mixers. She was the bartender extraordinaire of the evening. For food, we ordered the half dozen chicken wings (2 orders since they were so good) and the pizza empanadas to start. The two empanadas had mozzarella cheese stuffed inside and were served with a warm marinara. From the main menu, we ordered the Faroe Island Salmon, which was served on a bad of risotto and tomato butter, with capers. The portion of the salmon was somewhat small for the price of $28, but it and the risotto were cooked perfectly. We ended the night with their signature drink, "Death in the Afternoon" which contains absinthe and is one of my favorite drinks here in Orlando. It was another five star experience and my friend found a new restaurant she now loves. All in all, a great night thanks to the attentiveness and easy-going attitude of Mel, our server, and the exceptional cocktails from the bartender, Serena. Thank you both for a job very well done!

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. No complaining about that ! lol

However, we initially entered to get a picture in the photobooth for our friends birthday. There was no one at the door checking IDs. After we all piled into the photobooth, someone walked up and asked for our IDs. He wanted us to exit the booth to get them. Eventually said ok because we had already paid and on a timer. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.

This location was recommended by a few friends so maybe it was a bad night but I was not a fan. Our bartender seemed extremely disinterested. He took an ridiculously long time to make 3 drinks. Then when he was done he was giving our drinks to the group next to us. We go to pay and he walks away only taking my one friends card. Then starts making more drinks with her card in his hand. That was another wait to get our cards back. The decor was really pretty and the crowd had good vibes but two other women came up to us to complain about the bartender as well. It seems they were too busy taking shots to care about their patrons. Our drinks sucked but it was a pretty place to sit and chat with friends. Like I said, Ive heard good things about this bar so hopefully it was just an off night but I won't be rushing back to try again. I gave an extra star for the decor and the good vibes of the other customers.

The menu was great - I settled on the flatbread which I highly recommend especially if you love honey drizzle on pizza crust. My friend ordered the salad which was gorgeous and fresh. We finished off with the churros. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to return and recommend to friends.
