Everything was great! Clean, service was prompt, music was good and food was delish! We came during lunch time and I had the Caldo de pollo! Which is a chicken soup! It was delish! And the chicken was nice and moist. Cristina was sweet and tentative with our table! Def recommended and will come back!

Holy guacamole this place is amazing ! My best friend and I came in for lunch and girl talk as this is her favorite restaurant and location . I see why ! Our server was Sebastian and he was so nice and provided great service. We enjoyed lunch , mocktails and cocktails and left stuffed and happy lol! They have other locations and do have plenty of seating for larger parties. 10/10

Last time I came to Don Julio's was for cinco de mayo 2025 and at that time it was a good time and food was pretty good. This visit was very underwhelming as far as the food aspect. For a Friday night it wasn't as busy as it usually is, which was good because we were seated immediately. The vibe was nice with good music and hearing everyone celebrate birthdays. Our server Arom was amazing and provided top tier service, he was the best part of our dining experience. For drinks we ordered a Paloma and Margarita. Both drinks were just drinkable, not great flavor and blah. For an appetizer we ordered Queso, Guacamole, and salsa. The cheese was delicious, the salsa was bland and only tasted like tomato, the guacamole was flavorless. The guacamole was in dire need of lime and salt. For dinner my kids ordered Steak, Birria Tacos with French Fries. They seemed to enjoy their food. My husband and I shared a Molcajete with steak, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo. The meat had good flavoring but was all mixed together. In many other restaurants the meat is separated so it's easier to assemble your tacos instead of digging through and sorting it out. For dessert we ordered Churros, and they were good. I've been coming to Don Julio's since they originally opened and was a quarter of the size. I understand with growth and success comes changes but I feel like the food isn't as good as it use to be. Don Julio's use to be one of my go to Mexican spots but after the past few visits I don't think I'll be returning.

Caught up with a girlfriend this past weekend over some yummy margaritas and chicken fajitas! Went on a Saturday was steadily busy, but we chose to sit at the bar. Staff was friendly, and food came out quick. The margaritas were tasty and strong. There was a DJ around 6PM. He definitely was setting the tone for a fun evening! Even though there was a DJ, you were still able to hear and have a nice conversation without yelling, LOL. Great place to catch up with a friend or enjoy a night out with family!

They have got to be out of their minds. I have ordered from the restaurant on Chickasaw multiple time so I have received this item before and what we received on our last order is beyond unacceptable. This quesadilla was $20 dollars. This is a tiny tortilla and 2 oz of barely seasoned ground beef. Sure, there was some sour cream and lettuce on the side, but this is shameful. Every other time I ordered this it was four pieces, and this is what you sent the last time. I want my money back. As a person who has worked in customer service for over 25 years, I am utterly embarrassed for you. Someone in your kitchen thought this was a way to treat regular guests, or any guests. Its bad enough you already inflate your prices from the menu for delivery, that we could overlook, but then this is what you send. And dont get me started on the quality, Im letting that go because it was delivery. PS we ordered two of these, so we were charged $40 for 2. Im sorry, but I really am having trouble fighting my disgust.

I know I can go to Don Julio and always enjoy a tasty meal. I have been many times and I feel it's one of the better options for Mexican cuisine in the area. Both locations are consistent. My service has always been good, with the exception of one bad experience at the Waterford location. I'll consider it an abnormality. If you go on a Friday night, as I did most recently, just know it's like you're going to a club. Not very conducive to conversing, but plenty fun if that's what you're seeking. Free shots? Yes, please! I absolutely love their cheese. Drinks are a bit pricey for me, but there's a plethora of amazing options on the drink menu.

Wanted to try a new Mexican spot so we went to Don Julio's. The ambiance gives party vibes and the greeters were nice. The food was delicious, fresh and served hot. The only downsides was the service was a little slow at times, like bringing to go boxes and checking for refills. As well as the price for certain items can be a little on the pricer side compared to competitors like Garibaldi's. But over all very happy with the visit and flavorful food. P.s. some of the best guacamole I have had at a restaurant.

Long overdue review of a place I've been coming to for years...unfortunately, the years kinda contributed to that missing 5th star. I understand that things get more expensive, but how are we gonna be increasing prices AND cutting back on portions sizes? (One specific thing that has shrunk - the sides that come with the nachos - used to be a big bag of chips and enough lettuce/sour cream ect for the whole dish, chips are now half the size and it's a very small amount of the salad items). I've also taken to really checking my to-go orders as missed items are common during lunch rush. I keep coming back though, because the food is really good. The drinks are just as excellent too, with the mango Margarita being one of my faves. They've expanded and updated the space at this location in the years that I've been going, and the vibe on weekend evenings is very lively. I'm definitely going to be a continued customer, just wish some things could have stayed as they were.

Juan was a wonderful server. The margaritas were delicious. We had a mango margarita and a lychee margarita along with the queso and salsa. The queso was a nice consistency and not runny. I did find the salsa to be a bit spicier for my tastes.

Had the chicken Mexican burrito and it was delicious our server was friendly and the restaurant ambience was hopping with Latin DJ music that had the customers dancing. Definitely great place to hang out with friends and enjoy

Tucked in a nondescript plaza, this Mexican joint offers none of the bells and whistles you find from other Tex-mex style eateries. It's very open inside. Lots of TVs on the walls. The music was apparently coming from a DJ while we were there on a Saturday night but I didn't even know he was there until we left for the evening. I ordered the carnitas fajitas. Those were some of the best carnitas I've ever had. Seriously. So juicy and tender. They fell apart on my fork. That was definitely the star of the show. The rice and beans accompanying my fajitas were just ok, nothing special. I was a bit disappointed that my fajitas didn't come with guacamole, so I had to order and pay for a side, but at least they gave me a decent amount. The fajitas themselves were a pretty big portion too. My husband ordered a burrito. He said it was yummy but nothing overly special to rave about. The margaritas were tasty although not very strong. I liked that they had an entire section on the menu for spicy margaritas, my favorite. Get the jalapeño marg; you won't be disappointed. Our waitress was very nice and attentive without being overbearing. Food came out fast, almost too fast! It was all very fresh and hot.

Best dang Chimichanga in Orlando Pretty dang good fried ice cream as well & don't even get me started on the margaritas. They don't hold back on the liquor

Normally, this place is our go-to for Mexican food, but the constant upselling from the servers has become unbearable. We went on Taco Tuesday, and the server repeatedly pushed me to order the taco meal even after I explained multiple times that I don't eat the sides. She was so persistent that she ultimately got my order wrong. She kept saying chicken when she repeated it, despite me clarifying that I wanted steak tacos. We also asked for a pitcher of margaritas, and she kept trying to convince us to order a single $38 margarita instead--even though the pitchers were $35. The worst part was when the runner brought the incorrect dish (despite me repeating my order four times). After I sent it back, she returned with the same plate as if I was expected to eat something I didn't order. I was shocked, especially since we spoke Spanish with the server, so it wasn't a language issue. Lately, every server seems to aggressively push upsells, and it's extremely frustrating. This doesn't happen at Agave Azul or any of the other great Mexican spots. Unfortunately, we're done.

The lemon oleo is something I had never experienced in a coffee and it definitely elevated the experience.
