Catarino and his team installed new carpeting and repaired a spot where the lvp had puckered up in a house we were getting ready to sell and they did an excellent job. Our GC was impressed with the quality of their work (they also didn't ding the newly painted walls or sideboards) and especially impressive was that I was able to book with Catarino in August, he sent me to his supplier to get the carpet selected and purchased, then we moved to NY in October, and the supplier warehoused our carpet for free until January when the house was finally ready for the flooring work. I gave Catarino 2 wks heads up on the timing, and his team made it happen, seamlessly without any hiccups, and even touched up an extra spot on the lvp that the GC had found, that wasn't in the original scope of work. It started day 1 with his quote he took extra time to make sure the measurements were accurate and he walked me through all of it. Everything he committed happened and more. He did have the job in 3 days and the painter he helped me find came in the next day (who was also great - he gave me 4 names) The 2nd half for the floors was completed in 2 days. They worked Saturday and late. He had 4-5 guys here and they were all super nice and worked hard!!! They were extremely clean, accommodating and understanding to kids, dogs and all of our stuff!!! I received other quotes as well. They were more expensive and told me it would likely take 3 weeks and weren't as helpful walking me through everything and giving specific numbers I highly recommend this group. Of all the contractors I worked with on our home remodel last year, this is the only one to whom I'd award 5 stars. Yeah, I'm picky, but Catz is, too. One of my neighbors highly recommended them and gushed about them so much that I called them for a bid. Catarino was booked out several weeks, but he still came out right away to view the disaster my previous contractor had caused and left me with, and was kind and sympathetic. He sent me to a hardwood floor distributor he has an account with, and assured me that he would be able to install a seamless transition between the hardwoods I wanted and the ceramic tile I had picked out, provided they were the same height. I took samples along to check. He picked up the hardwood and ceramic and had them waiting on site a few days before the job started. When Catz showed up (right on time) with his crew, they quickly fixed the previous disastrous floor removal and chipped slab, removed carpet and a pasted down subfloor, and installed my ceramic tile and hardwood plank throughout the entire house (over 2000 square feet), and then installed and painted the baseboards I had picked out. It was a 2-day job. He attends and oversees his jobs, unlike many contractors, and the price he was able to give me was right in line with other bids I had procured. I have shown his job to multiple people and all they can say is wow or amazing job they did from the wood matching from the living room kitchen to all the hallways and panty/closets. Then they came back a few days later after the painting was done and knocked out 1100 square feet of flooring (hardwood laminate, tile in kitchen/bathrooms) and all the baseboards in one day! They did quality work and did it fast! They didn't leave a mess and they hauled off all the old flooring... that's a biggie! Amazing! I only wish I could give them more stars! I was very frustrated when I first started looking for contractors. I called and called people and I couldn't get anyone to return my calls. I called and didn't even leave a message and Catarino called me back within minutes. He came out within days to do an estimate and was punctual with the time he had set. He sent me to pick out samples at Prosource in Austin. They were also very easy to work with. I had 1256 sq ft of carpet and poorly laid very cheap laminate removed. As well as 620 feet of baseboard. I replaced it with beautiful Arcacia hardwood and thick baseboards. ProSource had the flooring in less than a week and Catarino was able to install the floors within a week after the order. The entire project took three days to complete. His crew was punctual, respectful, tiddy, and moved all of the furniture for me! That was wonderful since my husband is deployed and I just bought the house three weeks ago. I was able to pay him with a check after the work was completed.
