My boyfriend and I just came in for the MILLIONTH time since they opened (we are big fans) - this place is too good y'all. I'll get to the food later, but I wanted to mention the customer service we received today - this place is always packed. As it should be, the food is amazing! However, this can lead to backups, and people get frustrated. We often come and hear people talking very rudely to the workers, and we've always tried hard to be kind because of this. Well, it was slow for the first time ever today, and the manager was incredibly sweet. She helped us out incredibly, and we appreciated it so much! I had been to cava in DC so I was very excited for this location. This location has ample parking and seating space. The interiors are very open and modern. The whole process is very slow. There are so many people who end up leaving while in line because of the wait. Especially during the covid they can give us a paper fo chose all the ingredients and we can just colllect our bowl. The staff still gets wrong ingredients even after telling them. I am sure that will improve with time. The food has fresh ingredients and it tastes good. We took 2 bowls one with falafel and other with harissa honey chicken. Falafel were soft but harissa chicken was a let down. The chicken was dry and did not taste anything like harissa honey. I really hoped that 5 weeks in things would have improved from reviews I've seen shortly after their opening. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I really hate writing bad reviews but I want others to be on the look out for things that made my visit unpleasant. I've had Cava in Virginia so I was really excited to see that the chain was expanding in the Atlanta metro area. I placed my order online for pickup. I arrived after my estimated pickup time because according to other reviews, it wouldn't be ready on time. There was a group of people waiting for their online order pickups by the register, about 6 people. I waited another 15-20 minutes and they called my name, placed my bowl topped in foil on the pickup shelf. I had to wait at the register another 5 minutes to ask for a bag and a cup for the drink I also ordered with my meal. If you order a drink, make sure you ask an associate for it before you leave. The plus is that my meal had all the correct ingredients in it but was definitely skimpy on the portions. There was barely any rice in my bowl. They also forgot my dressing but I didn't realize until I got to the car and refused to go back in to try to hunt down another employee. They are definitely short staffed so I tried to be patient. One might have a better experience just ordering once you get there. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, the customer service will improve. read more

I can't even say how many times I've driven past Cava, so I'm truly ashamed it has taken me so long to drop in. Upon entering, there are SO many Mediterranean options/variations of bowls and pitas to choose from. I built a bowl with falafel and tons of my favorite toppings and my boyfriend ordered a lamb pita, both which we absolutely loved. Loved how there are so many vegan options on their menu, something I don't see often with Mediterranean cuisine. Seriously, blown away. We were coming from the gym so it truly was the perfect post-gym eats. FULL of flavor and textures, and important to mention, the two women who helped me this past Saturday were amazing and so accompanying. I normally can't finish a meal in one sitting but I practically did. still super yummy though, just needed a bit more greens and rice because the sauce and the meat was more in portion than the base. again, not necessarily a bad thing if the entire portion didn't feel a bit lacking. photo was taken probably after like one or two bites. anyway, will definitely be back. I love Cava. I travel to DC and NYC all the time so I have known about Cava for years. I'm so glad they are in Atlanta now. I have gone about 2-3 times a week since they opened. Now I will be going to the one at Briarcliff because it's closer to my home. My favorite bowl is build your own, spinach and arugula, double chicken, cucumbers & tomatoes, slaw, and as many onions that they are allowed to give me lol I top it with the garlic dressing and I eat it with pita chips and the pita bread. 9:54 pm - The staff is going to be the downfall of this business. It should be against company policy for the staffs significant others to wait in the restaurant while employees are on the clock. Our cashier, Jamilah was hasty, impolite and rushed us to order so that she could get back to her boyfriend who was waiting in the dining area, roll the tapes. Once she finished she exited the building for at least 5 minutes while customers waited at the counter looking for someone to take their order. Because she decided to have a rendezvous while customers were waiting, other staff members had to leave from their position to fill hers. When she came back, she simply leaned when there were plenty things that needed cleaning as the food counter was junky & unorganized. Additionally, the staff decided to remove all drinks & stop making any food that was not immediately available on the bar over thirty minutes before closing. I asked for pita & she said there was no more. The staff later confirmed that everything was available and that Jamilah was lying! This is sheer complacency & laziness. Please hire people who care & not those that are easily distracted & just there to ride the clock & make a quick dollar. Update: 10:18 pm - I left my review as I was sitting in the parking lot finishing my food. I decided to exit the restaurant because they were 6 minutes to closing and I didn't want to overstay my welcome as it became very clear that it was time for us to go. After about 5-6 minutes of sitting in my car we could see Jamilah in the restaurant clearly talking about us. She was literally pointing at our car. Shortly after that, Jamilah read my review then came to my car window in fighting stance asking if we had a problem. I am a legal carrier and this is how people end up on the other side of a self defense case. Your employee walked up to my window, ready to fight because I told the truth in a review? This girl is a liability and her reaction to a truthful review only justifies my review further. If you love CAVA, STAY AWAY from this location! It's a hot ghetto mess! Of course, I choose the bowl and got the brown rice. For protein, they have a wide range from lamb, chicken and white potatoes. You are able to get more than one. I got the Chicken mixed with white sweet potatoes. For toppings, I got the lettuce, roasted corn, tomato & cucumber, pickled onions and pita chips. For sauce, I got the tzatziki and lemon herb. First time trying out Cava. Loved the food but I think that this location is a bad representation of the brand. The customer service is lackluster and underwhelming. The young lady who made our order wasn't well trained so she made it wrong. She also put my friend and I on the same check, even though we specified we were separate. Then she threw our stuff in the bag because we corrected her. I'll def try out a new location next time. To the owners, please train these employees on how to handle customers. Granted it was past the normal lunch time but still. Concur with others. While generally tasty, shrinkflation is alive and well at CAVA. my bowl was half filled for $12!? The lentils were almost cooked leaving a chalky texture and the crispy falafel was so not crispy I had to check if it was even cooked. Do not recommend. read more

I've always loved cava but this location had over 12 people waiting on their orders for well over 40 minutes. While they made the bowls for people in lines who just arrived, their ability to prioritize is the worst I've seen. Take care of the people as they come in.... I couldn't even get a refund if I left without my meal, so I had to wait the hour for them to even acknowledge my presence. They let people just wait an hour before addressing the issue. If the computer was down that's no excuse if you have several people waiting maybe consider taking the initiative. Whoever runs this location needs some training :) it's the lack of leadership. read more

They ran out of chicken and the entire line was held up for ~15 minutes while they cooked another batch. When I finally got my chicken, I then learned they were out of corn and feta cheese. This was my first time trying Cava. The food was great but the customer service was terrible. They made my food sloppy and the girl said this is how it's suppose to be. I think not, I requested they remake my wrap. Seems like they think customers work for them but it's actually the other way around. The workers there walk around with a chip on their shoulders as if they don't want to be there. They should be trained better knowing how to fix each and everything on the menu without it looking so messy. For the people reading this please trust the reviews.
