If you have ever been to CAVA before, it's basically Chipotle but Mediterranean style. You pick a bowl or a pita, your base, your protein, and then your toppings. This is one of the newer CAVAs in the area and it has a drive through but it's not exactly like a normal drive through. You need to place the order on the app and when your food is ready then you drive up. The service here is fine, I mean there isn't much service except for someone to scoop the food and put it in your bowl. It's pretty much self serve. The interior of the place is very nice and warm tone. The seats are comfortable and it's relatively clean. The food here is good. The portion of the food got better. When I first came here; the portion size was a bit sparse. Like not enough rice and everything was too flavorful. My other subsequent visits have been a full bowl and I'm full too, which makes me a happy camper. Parking for this place can be tight if you want to park in front or near CAVA, but there's a big lot on the other side of the plaza. There is also parallel parking spots on the north side. Overall, delicious food and good portions always a 5/5 in my book. Would highly recommend. I'm glad they fixed the portioning issue early.

This is the third CAVA I've visited and it seems smaller than most. The crew are predominately women with some men working as cooks in the back. The store is set up similar to the others and resembles Chipotle's assembly line format. i wish they would serve more food for the price of the food and quality. I think the price is a little more than what it should be, but I guess that's why there is no tip involved.

The line moved relatively fast, especially for a busy lunch crowd. The food was solid as always! The only downside to ordering in person is that the names of the items are listed on sections of the sneeze guard rather than directly above the food itself, which can make it tricky if it's your first time and you're not sure what's what. It was also a bit loud inside, which made it a little hard to hear the server (and vice versa), but overall still a good experience.

They finally opened one near me!! I don't have to drive to Pasadena anymore!! Yay!! It's clean, service was great and food was delicious per usual! I LOVE cava!! Can't wait till they open one in Monrovia which I hear it's coming soon! Plenty of parking in this azusa location and conveniently located with other restaurants and shops around!

I would like to start off that I came here because I found it on TikTok. They just opened near me. I came here excited to finally try Cava and left wondering why I even bothered. The night started with us standing in line for ten solid minutes, not because it was packed but because the employees looked completely untrained and unsure of what they were doing. Aidan was the one at the counter and he didn't greet us, didn't apologize, didn't say a single word about the wait. He just gave this little smirk like he knew how ridiculous it was. During that time other employees were hanging out on break, giggling and looking our way while the line dragged on. It set the tone for the entire visit and not in a good way. By the time I ordered I didn't even want to customize a bowl anymore. I played it safe with a signature item, which should have been straightforward, but when it came out the bowl looked half empty compared to the photos. I asked Geo at the register why it was so bare and he told me I should have asked for more toppings. That made no sense because a signature bowl should come as pictured, not like a stripped down version. Even after going back and forth, what I got was still a sad looking portion for nearly twenty dollars. On top of that the lamb meatballs were dry and my friend's wrap had bones in it, which was the ultimate turnoff. The drinks sounded creative but tasted watered down, more like an afterthought than something refreshing. For how many employees were standing around, the service was the slowest I have ever seen in this type of restaurant. The lack of training, the lack of urgency, and the lack of care for presentation or quality made this place feel like a complete waste of time. If you want Mediterranean food, Luna Grill is a much better option. If you just want something quick and reliable, even Chipotle across the street will treat you better. This was not worth the hype and I will not be coming back. As far as the ambience...nothing special.

This was the best experience ever! We walked in, greeted right away, and the portions were great! Now, if you'd like veggies, this is the place to be. If you are more of a picky eater, this probably isn't the place for you. Although I do believe that this place has something for everyone, my boyfriend is a Picky Eater, and his bowl was fairly small. Regardless, the food was great! And we definitely will be back!

First time visitors and we LOVED it!! The entire experience was positive with the exception of one huge issue, they ran out of chicken and as result, we were forced to wait in line for close to twenty mins while the cook grilled more chicken. I totally understand and we were not upset of this issue however, forcing customers to wait so close and the very long line coming to a complete stop for so long, definitely cost the restaurant over ten customers as they simply got out of line and left. Despite this one negative incident, this place is extremely popular as once the long line got going, it was non stop customers coming in and either ordering food and/or picking up their food orders. Customer service is FANTASTIC! Each customer was super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was somewhat clean and no fault of the employees as customers at two different tables simple got up and left after eating their meals, leaving their trash behind on the tables, UNBELIEVABLE that an adult would feel that leaving their trash behind is acceptable behavior when there are trash cans adjacent to either exit. The vibe here is relaxed, the food choices are great and the healthy food itself was EXCELLENT!!! Each item was delicious, healthy and well prepared. The chicken chunks included in my salad were very tasty, moist Sam's left me wanting more. We will definitely return here as soon as later tonight for dinner

This was our first time here at CAVA - Giselle and Aaron helped us out with fast and friendly service. The falafel crunch and chicken hit the spot - the ingredients were fresh and tasty! Would recommend to anyone for a quick bite to eat that isn't greasy or heavy. Highly recommend- we will be back!

Yet another cava soft opening experience. I did think most everyone on the line was serving exact what they were supposed to, but some things like rice I thought was a bit skimpy. Harissa chicken is yum, never really a fan of their steak here due to chewyness. But overall, good service and food on point. Harissa chips could be hotter, but happy to get some. I'm not a fan of anything Cucumber in drinks but their Cucumber lemonade was better than all the cava places I've been. This location is on the smaller side. Far right on the Plaza. BTW for those of you who like to get on the preview action just follow cava on eventbrite and have your alerts set. You get a free entree and a drink every time.

This was my second time eating Cava. I figured I'd have the same great experience as my first time, just a different location. Unfortunately, my experience here was just okay. I spent $45 for two bowls, extra pita and 2 drinks. The chicken I was served seemed undercooked, and it was only some pieces. To avoid getting sick I basically took most of the protein out and ate everything else. I love this concept because I love Mediterranean food. The service was friendly but, a little slow. I don't know if I'll come back but, you might love it and should try it.

Friendly service, employees changed their gloves very frequently like in between each order. Didn't feel rushed, they explained what was vegan and what wasn't. Overall just an enjoyable experience, ill certainly be back because tasty fresh food plus good attitudes from employees will keep a returning customer. Also to just add a cherry on top, they have a drive thru for online pickup orders to make life just that much easier! read more

This was my first time going to any CAVA. For this location being newly opened, it was very well cleaned and the line moved by fast. Since it was my first time I was asking questions and the employees were super helpful at eat station giving me their recommendations and even putting the sauce/dips on the side so I could taste them before pouring it in my bowl. I will say, the overall standard portions seem rather small for the price but that's not the locations fault. Definitely excited to keep trying the different bowls. read more

We love this place. Think Mediterranean chipotle. Everything is fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. $12.95 for a good size portion. Kid meals are $7.95. Clean and a great variety of Fresca type drinks and natural sodas. Shout out to Giselle who is always here to greet us with a smile. read more

I love the ambiance and the color combinations inside , it's beautiful and inviting. Unfortunately, the food falls short. The "spicy" pita isn't spicy at all, and overall the dishes lack seasoning. Portions are quite small for the $25 price (including a drink). The drinks from the foundation on the side are also disappointing everything tastes watered down and lacks flavor. For the price I could get way more food and tastier items from our local Mediterranean restaurants. read more

Cava has been in my heart for the past year and now I am so excited to see that there is one much closer to me in an area that definitely needed it. The "Mediterranean chipotle" really undermines the fact that this place I believe really provides a large portion of food that is of high quality and taste extremely yummy. I am personally a big fan of their harissa and I basically get everything on the menu that has harissa with it. In my personal experience, although the lines are long, it does move by quickly and everyone that is helping out has been great and nice to me the entire way through. Will 100% be coming back again and again. read more

Serously overpriced, poorly prepared food. Rice was uncooked. Side of hummis is about 1 oz, for 3.85. I paid for two and only got one. The food was cold and the meat seemed to be table scraps. After a 20-minute line, I was excited to try the new Cava in Azusa. Little did I know I was stepping into a bougie buffet with luxury pricing and appetizer portions. I asked for rice and lentils to start - just a base, right? The guy gave me one sad, lonely scoop like he was rationing food during the apocalypse. I asked for a sprinkle of arugula and he hits me with, "That'll be a $2 upcharge." Excuse me?? For leaves?? I didn't ask for gold flakes. I declined. Then I get to the meat station. I ask for steak and the lady says "That's an upcharge." Fine. I ask for Harissa Honey Chicken. That's ALSO an upcharge. At this point, I said, "You know what? Just give me the steak." She proceeds to dust the bowl with what I think was steak. Honestly, my dog gets more in his bowl of Kibble & Bits. I almost asked if it came with a magnifying glass. Then I top it with olives, slaw, and feta. The feta scoop? It was the size of a thimble. I'm not asking for a feta avalanche, but come on, they scoop it like it's imported from Mount Olympus. I get to the register, add a drink, and boom - over $20. For a glorified salad with premium air. Final verdict: Cava? More like "Cha-Ching-va." Next time, I'm going back to Chipotle where at least the guac is openly outrageous, not sneakily sprinkled throughout the menu like a financial booby trap. read more

I have been to this location about 3-4 times. I have always been treated nicely. However my last visit almost left me in tears. I walked in and was greeted as usual. I just left my chemo appt and my mind was a bit spacey. They took their time with me trying to make decisions regarding my meal and I never felt rushed. I've been to multiple other Cavas and this one was one of the best. The chicken and meatballs were a bit tough and dry. The avocado was very fresh and harissa sauce was tasty. The pita crisps on the side were the freshest I've ever eaten at a Cava. They must have been fresh out of the oven. Multiple tables were a bit dirty. The lemonades were all stocked but low in the amount. The employees were friendly. read more

Easy to find location for this restaurant, the inside is very neat and clean and staff are friendly and patient with all customer. Those things were a plus for me due to the fact that Pasadena location as hard to find and the staff is not always patient.. The items to choose from for your bowls or healthy options that allow you to choose super greens or rice or black beans, chicken steak or combo. I got three bowls, each one of them a little different. The super greens are quite good if you add a lot of the sides that you can have along with hummus and the different dressings on top.. this locations drink machines were working so the strawberry citrus drink was excellent and I'll go back and get that again I spoke to Walter on the way out and he was very kind and listen to me when I gave positive reviews for the location and the staff. Will be back and encourage everybody to try the location.. read more

CAVA opening in Azusa is the best thing to happen to Azusa since APU arriving in 1946. This is one of the highest quality fast casual restaurants you can have anywhere. Now, early reviews are correct in that you may end up waiting 30 minutes in line for your food during lunch rush 12-1. I also tried mobile order and received an incredibly small portion, but received an $11 credit within a few hours of submitting a request. Came the next day at 11am and there was no line. I think what they are experiencing is a symptom of greatness not a symptom of failure. They have lots of demand because CAVA is great, period. They took an abandoned KFC and turned it into a luxury looking restaurant inside & outside. If you want to avoid the long lines just go before the lunch rush, or after. If you are concerned about price, get the bowl half grain & half green and stick with the chicken, it's an amazing deal. read more

Cava can be hit or miss with online orders, and how fresh and cooked the food items are on certain days/times. The first time I went in person, everything was fresh and delicious. The second time I ordered online, it was still pretty good. But the third time? Not so much. I ordered online around 7:30 PM, and it was disappointing. One of the dips/spreads I selected was missing, and the sad looking naan was tossed into the bag wrapped in a napkin. No care at all. The worker also forgot the two sauces that were supposed to come on the side. Always double-check your order before leaving if you're ordering online. The quality really depends on who's prepping your food that day. Maybe going in person is the way to go. You get exactly what you ordered. read more

Really happy this place is open in my neighborhood. Great flavor but suuuper skimpy portions. Compared to other locations, the food didn't even make it to the upper line in the bowl whereas the other spots are more than generous. I hope they fix that otherwise I'm gonna have to pick up from the Whittier location on my way home from work. read more

My group and I sat at the tables located outside. It was a nice, warm evening, so outdoor seating was perfect. We listened to very good, energetic jazz, chatted, and had dinner. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and polite. Thank you for the great service. I had a Greek salad minus olives because I HATE olives and pickles (yuck!!). My salad was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. My friends ordered another dish, which looked tasty as well. Overall, this dining experience was positive and fun.

As they have been one of the few places that opened late to midnight since COVID. I've been here enough times to have tried everything on their menu including all versions of their fries, broasted chicken mean, all the skewer and sides and have never been disappointed...until this last trip. We arrived around 6pm right around dinner service so obviously some wait is expected. There was 3 others that was in front of in line placing their orders. The person manning the counter seems to be newer and unfamiliar, we have never seen him before. It took around 20 minutes for him to take the 3 sets of orders in front of us and ours as well. At this point we got our receipt 6:26pm. Dinner service so we expect about 30 minutes of waiting or so, had a chat with one other person that was waiting for his order. Then starting to see one after another get their order. 3 more come in to place their order after us. The couple that ordered right before us is eating in and sat down at one of the tables inside. They get their order of 2 sandwiches and starts eating. Normally this place starts scooping the rice and sides for the next order to be fulfilled as those are prepared in advance, so as soon as the kabobs are done they can finish packing up and complete the order. We see multiple boxes on the counter waiting for the meat so we expect they were working on our order. The order behind us picks up their order. The next one after picked up their order. The 2 ladies that ordered last sat down and was served ....and no boxes were on the the counter indicating they were working on another order. At this point we are about 40 minutes in, so we walk in asking about ours. The guy turns at looks at the grill, then just says 15 minutes. Once we turned around he then starts to put our sides together completely forgetting our order. At this point we are 45 minutes in waiting, and it had better be the best kabobs we ever had. Finally they call us. 7:23pm. 57 minutes since we were rung up. On top of the lining up we are now about 80 minutes since we arrived. We are obviously frustrated but hey since they didn't have any more orders to work on our kabobs should be perfectly grilled right? COMPLETELY OVERCOOKED. It was chewy, dry, and any resemblance of flavor has been cooked to crap. And they just had the excuse of sorry it was dinner time we were busy, treating as if we are idiots and can't obviously tell they forgot our order. Unfortunately I doubt we will be returning again. For the staff: it's ok if it took a while during dinner service. We get it. It's ok if our order slipped thru the cracks. It happens. But what is absolutely not acceptable is lying about it AND completely screw the cooking up considering you have no more active orders besides ours. We would have been okay if you acknowledged the error and cooked our kabobs to perfection, maybe offer us a drink for the wait time as it barely costs you anything. You see 2 guys standing right outside of your store and have completely zero awareness of MAYBE we might still be waiting for our order?

Looked forward to this placing opening to try something new. Very disappointed. I had the Spicy Lamb+Avcado bowl came with bland lamb, bland red pepper hummus, bland pickled onion, tomato, a half bowl of tiny tasteless black lentils and they tried to give me blacken avocado until I said no. Very little topping just that awful lentils. The bowl did come with a small piece of pita which was good. My wife had the Greek Salad with dry chicken not much flavor and she had to go back and ask for kalamata olives which they forgot and is a main stay for a Greek salad. One young server was very nice the other was the one who wanted to give me the spoiled avocado. First and last time there. read more

Cava is amazing, this location is absolutely terrible. Been here 3x since its opening about a month ago. The staff is slow and serves undersized portions while somehow missing items included the bowl that are listed in the cheat sheet. The line is always out the door and the waits are often 10+ minutes even if you're already inside the building and waiting by the 4 pictures on the wall close to the counter, thats how slow the staff is.
