The habit used to be so good but has gone down and disappointing, with their high prices it's just not worth it anymore!! Sadly I think we had our last meal there last night!!! Not just this location, but with their menu change, quality and over charging for the simplest things just isn't worth it, Salads-quality of all ingredients, prep and watered down dressings suck, not even close to the great salads they used to serve!! Burgers are ok but not as great, chicken club sandwich is still good but over priced. Chicken pieces and fries are always over cooked and or pre-cooked, it's like getting them at the little league snack bar!! I'm not sure why this happens, but it has occurred on more than one occasion. Dining here is fine because they get the orders correct. However, when we place our orders through the mobile app, they always seem to get them wrong especially with the customizations. When we asked for no cheese, they forgot to take it out. When we asked for the sauce on the side, it wasn't in the bag. When we paid extra for another patty, it wasn't there. Very clean establishment and upon entrance there are two self order kiosks. You can also opt to order with a cashier if you prefer. I was a bit bummed with my bbq bacon burger. There was not an ounce of sauce on it so it was pretty dry. The bacon however had a good crunch to it. The fries tasted fresh and had aight crunch to them. They now charge for ranch which I think is new? I've just opted for ketchup. They also now have Pepsi as a Venmo instead of Coca Cola but I did like the Tropicana fruit punch. read more

I came to Habit because I had a free birthday reward for a free char burger with cheese. I placed a mobile dime in order for the burger and onion rings. Sad to say that my experience has dropped off a bit at this location. Some of the blame goes to corporate and some to this store specifically. So what went wrong? My food was cold and fries not crispy like I requested. The fried chicken sandwich has also changed. The Golden Fried version we loved with the "boom" sauce (spicy aioli) is no longer available or they just ran out. I usually ask for some sauce on the side for our fries, but was told the manager said I couldn't get any. After looking a little closer at the app, I see the spicy pepper aioli is not part of the description online like the old menu pics I've posted in the past from inside the store. So which is it? Did the recipe change or did they not want to give me any sauce on the side? Either way, we are not happy because the chicken sandwich is now just good, but ordinary whereas the version with "boom" sauce was unique and special. Moving on to the fries. They were cold and not extra crispy as I requested. Problem? It's either the app/online issues or they just didn't cook my fries extra crispy or both. First of all, the app itself from where I ordered doesn't have the "check in" option like most other mobile apps. When I used the text link to check in, it didn't work so I was outside waiting for an extra 10 -15 mins while I called the store, which actually happened to be corporate who called the store on behalf to let them know I had arrived. Time for a quick update for one of my favorite burger joints! Habit Grill! There are a few places that I love getting fast food (in particular, burgers) from. In N Out, Shake Shack, Red Robin, and Habit, just to name a few. But Habit sort of edges out the rest by being close by home, having always very reasonable pricing, and just a taste that I can vouch for each and every time. I am not very sure what their rewards program does, but I get a free birthday burger every year. It's not just a regular Char-burger, but one with CHEESE! I love cheese. This annual perk may why I rank Habit above In N Out and Shake Shack without doubt in my mind. The most recent cheeseburger I had with them is very tasty. Presentation wasn't the best since I did a to-go order, but it all worked out superbly well once it went into my mouth, heh! The Azusa location generally provides fast service, and I haven't had a problem with them at all all these years. As a matter of fact, I haven't had any problem at any of the branches I've visited in the past, say, 6-7 years? It's just a good franchise to stand by. All in all: Pricing continues to be fair. Quality continues to be consistent. The only thing I miss right now is dining in. I used to love ordering a combo, getting a refreshing drink from the fountain, and just hang with a loved one. It's good ol' American, traditional comfort food. To be clear, their dining room IS open, but I just play it safe by doing take-out and eating at home. My rule is, always, not to mess with this pandemic. Doing all I can to stay safe when I can. I was a fan, still a fan now, and will be a fan in the future, as far as I can tell! This Habit Burger Grill is in a big shopping plaza near APU. I have been here a few times and it's like most other Habit locations. I've ordered the charburger, the double charburger, and also the Santa Barbara style as well. Charburger and double charburger are good burgers and they're what they sound like. Usually when you place your order they'll ask if you want to make any customizations to your food which is perfect for folks that are particular with things. The Santa Barbara style is more unique of a burger where it's like a patty melt. The portion is huge where it's surprisingly generous and it'll stuff you up. Their tropical iced tea was kind of the same where it is very floral kind of like somebody squeezed a hibiscus flower and the essence of the flower entered the iced tea. The store itself is decently sized, there are a few tables outside where you can enjoy a nice meal outdoors. Nothing too out of the ordinary here in Azusa. There's tons of parking throughout the plaza so it shouldn't be a problem at all to find a spot. Sign up for their mailing list too, they'll have promotions on occasion and sometime there'll be a free charburger with cheese throughout the year. read more

This is probably one of my favorite burger chain, but my first visit to the location. It's located right next to the university in a strip mall packed with numerous eateries. The Habit is near the Panda Express and the Jamba Juice, and has several tables indoors and a few on the patio. The cashier girl was super patient and sweet, and when you pick up your food after your buzzer rings, the second employee is also friendly and quick to grab you any sauces without extra charge! I always order the Caesar Salad with Ahi Tuna cooked rare. And theirs was perfect; crisp and clean lettuce with generous amounts of croutons and parmesan cheese with a perfectly grilled slice of fish. I have now had the burger, chicken sandwich, and Caesar salad from the habit.. and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. I am not one for fast food or whatever one would consider this place.. but for a cheap price you can get a good meal. I was particularly impressed with the chicken Caesar salad.. there is easily a whole breast of chicken on that salad. The salads are made to order so you can add and remove certain ingredients like croutons. This particular location is in a shopping center. Plenty of parking and indoor/outdoor seating.. which makes it pet friendly. There is usually no line and the food takes less than 10 minutes.
