I've never been to CAVA. This one just opened this month and it's closer to where I live so I decided to try it out. It's pretty much a Mediterranean style chipotle. I loved it. Boy, was I ecstatic when I found out that CAVA was finally making its way to Cary! Every time I have been into CAVA it's been great. Even when the line is super long, it goes by pretty quickly! I love that CAVA is a healthy eatery with Mediterranean roots. Everything is always so fresh, delicious, and clean. There are so many options to choose from, from falafel to chicken and so many toppings and dressings! I also love the fact that they give you a delicious, warm piece of pita fo accompany your bowl. The drinks are always so yummy and refreshing! I personally love the watermelon mint drink and their lemonade as well. Parking is a breeze and I love the location in Crossroads! For a chain with good food, this place is insulting. Consistent trend everytime I go there -- lazy staff that clearly does not care about the customers and would rather talk to each other than serve the growing line of customers. They always seem to be out of major staple items (ie, spinach lettuce, hot harissa honey chicken, various toppings, etc) or claim to be because they are too lazy to go refill the containers. Everytime I have pre-ordered, they screw it up with incorrect items or missing items that were requested, and give cheap portions. I counted 7 staff members behind the counter last night while 2 of us stood there for a solid 5 minutes waiting for someone to take our orders, then someone finally came over when they saw a line forming behind us. I am done giving this place a chance, easier to just go elsewhere and save the frustration. Very poorly managed operation. read more

I used to eat here ALL the time, but then I noticed that they have a B Health Score!? I couldn't even eat the food at that point. I noticed that the food station looks dirty, and little things that made me not want to eat there. It's really a shame because I love the food there but a B health score is horrible and puts me at risk for food poisoning. read more

First off, I love CAVA. I was thrilled when they announced one coming to Cary. I'm on weight watchers and can get a great meal low in points. The topings, chicken and veggies were great. Salad dressing is not even necessary. Two criticism. Lentils were hard and not cooked all the way. I also got the last greens in the bin. It was like the last scoop of popcorn in a movie theatre (all crumbles). I'll definitely be coming back. I'll have to talk more to the server. read more

I read about this place on Yelp and was starving and happen to be in the neighborhood. After looking at the menu and was thinking about order everything I decided on the kids meal since it had a little bit of everything including a juice. Glad I did as it was the perfect amount for me and was really good. What I loved: 1) you get to customize you meal to exactly the way you want 2) the feta dip 3) the lemon tahini sauce 4) the lemonade - as a lemonade connoisseur I know my lemonades and this is good!! Disappointed with: 1) the lid on the togo box. Check the lid before you pick it up so you don't loose your lunch 2) pita bread - it came with my meal but was forgotten and I didn't realize it until I was gone. Robert (who I believe is in management) created the most upbeat and inviting environment. First time here. Clean and modern look. We sat outside as it was a pleasant evening but more so because the AC was cranked up and uncomfortably cold inside. Staff were friendly and efficient. Got a grains and greens bowl. I liked the concept of being able to get multiple grains in the bowl as well dips etc. very tasty, and generous portion. One thing I was disappointed in was the so called falafel. It tasted nothing like falafel and was quite dry. Perhaps it's their own spin on falafel but I was not impressed. I prefer falafel from say, Sasool or Neomande. I will come back but skip the protein next time. Being veggie I think this was the only option. My wife liked the beef though. read more

The food is really good here however the service is extremely lacking. I have been three times in the past few months and two of those times I encountered staff that was incredibly rude. Today the woman did not listen to what I ordered and when I politely asked her to fix it she told me that not what I said originally (it was) and when she went to fix it she still didn't do what I asked. Call store, get voice mail and leave a message for the manager explaining what happened. I never receive a call back. I call back the next day and am told by Manager that since this happened yesterday there is nothing he can do! He gave me an email address to write to and still have not heard back. I was able to get a long enough break from work and scout over Cava. I knew that I wanted a bowl or salad of some sort and went with just that. I arrived approx. 2pm so the lunch crowd may have simmered down a bit. I was greeted by I think a manager and someone working behind the counter. I love the look of the place.. Nice and clean. My choice, a build salad bowl that was a mixture of romaine and arugula lettuce. I skipped the grains, which looked fantastic, but chose my protein as falafel, crazy feta which is a Jalepeño-infused feta mousse, roasted red-pepper hummus, toppings such as tomatoes, pickled onions, cucumbers, more romaine and a couple of tasty dressings. It was so delicious. I opted out of the small pita that comes with the bowl, but I bet it's yummy. I love the fresh taste of the salad and just enough spices of the toppings and dressings. Wow, this is a bowl place taken to another level. Is like a subway for Mediterranean food in a bowl. I wish I had taken a better picture. I had a bowl with a rice and super green and chicken with like 3 types of hummus and the crazy feta sauce. They also give you a warm pita bread with your order. My new favorite place! I went to Cava for the first time with my sister, we didn't know what to expect since we had never been there. Everyone working was very friendly, especially the girl serving the grain and meat. I liked everything about this place but what I loved the most was the taste of the chicken bowl i got. This restaurant was really packed when I stopped by for take out. There was a line through the restaurant where people were sitting eating with no mask. which is a very small space. The guy that was cooking had his mask pulled below his nose part of his mouth out, so no one was following social distancing in the restaurant due to fact of how packed the place was. Well over capacity during Covid. Covid guidelines in our state says they are supposed to reduce the capacity of your guest, wear gloves, social distance, mask all of the above but that's not what I saw happened in there. No one had wiped down anything as far as cleaning you could tell. I ended up leaving and eating somewhere else. It felt dirty. I would not recommend eating here. read more
