What could have been a terrible experience turned into an outstanding example of customer service and delicious food. Gabe, a member of the restaurant team, went above and beyond. Once they realized what had happened, they kept us informed, worked with DoorDash, had our order remade, and made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. We ordered the Chicken & Ribs Bundle with an extra side of Honey Sriracha Brussels Sprouts. The portions were very generous, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the wait. A special shoutout to Isaiah, the second DoorDash driver, who worked closely with us and the restaurant team, waited for the order to be remade, and delivered it promptly and professionally. Great service from our server! We came in for a late dinner before closing and still got fresh food and a great seating in booths. We were not too hungry so we ordered and split the apps which was the man n cheese balls and then for the entree we split a custom jalapeno and pepperoni pizza flatbread. I'll start with the positive: our server was pleasant, attentive, and I have no complaints about the service. Unfortunately, the food and overall experience didn't justify the prices. The biggest issue came before we even started eating. The silverware that was already on our table was dirty, with dried, crusted food still stuck to the fork. That was honestly disgusting. I mentioned it to the manager while he was checking on tables, and he immediately had it replaced with plastic utensils, which I appreciated. I don't know whether the problem happened during the dishwashing process or while the silverware was being rolled and placed on tables, but it never should have made it to a guest's table in that condition. As for the food, it was just mediocre across the board. We started with the Avocado Egg Rolls. They sounded much better than they tasted. The avocado and sun-dried tomatoes didn't come together in a flavorful way, and for around $16, they were a huge disappointment. They desperately needed more flavor and simply weren't worth the price. We also ordered the appetizer sampler with the mozzarella sticks, nachos, sliders, and boneless wings. The boneless wings were probably the best item we had, but they were still just okay. The mozzarella sticks were decent, the sliders were forgettable, and the nachos were bland and lacked flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the lemon pepper wings. Again, they were average at best. My husband had the jambalaya. It wasn't bad, but the portion size didn't match the price. Overall, the food reminded me of what I'd expect from a lower priced casual restaurant, yet the menu prices were noticeably higher. Nothing we ordered stood out or made us feel like the meal was worth what we paid. I appreciate that the manager addressed the dirty silverware immediately and that our server provided good service throughout the meal. However, good service alone isn't enough to make up for mediocre, overpriced food and a basic sanitation issue like dirty silverware. Unfortunately, this was a one-and-done experience for us. We came here for a party and overall the food was okay. The wings we had could've been cooked for a few more minutes, the skin wasn't really crispy. Our meals were good (well mine was better). I had the Chicken Parmigiana with extra sauce. My husband had the Parmesan Encrusted Chicken which wasn't as favorable. It had been sitting under the light and wasn't hot when it got to be table. Possibly would've been better had it came out on time but there isn't a good way to eat cold mashed potatoes and hard unseasoned broccoli. We were attending a birthday party at the time so maybe that's what contributed to the delay in bringing our food out but it did take away from our experience. Our waitress was friendly but she didn't visit our table to check for refills or anything very often. I got the Tri tip which was very good. The mixed veggies that it came with were kind of pathetic. It did not add to the dish at all. Kinda a let disappointment . The mashed potatoes were good. Portions seem to be getting smaller as well for a higher price. Stepping into BJ's sports bar is like walking into a river of noise, where laughter and cheers crash against each other like waves. The air is warm with the scent of salt and grease. Screens glow like constellations across the walls, each one orbiting its own small universe of players and scores. Beneath it all hums the heartbeat of strangers gathered for the same ritual: the clink of glasses, the rising shout, the hush before the next play. This sports bar suffers from a full-blown culinary identity crisis. The menu looks like it was written by a committee that never met each other: tacos elbowing in next to pasta, burgers flirting awkwardly with avocado egg rolls, and a section called "Sandwiches and Tacos" that is hardly sandwich and barely taco. It's as if someone Googled "foods people like" and copy-pasted the first 200 results. The vibe screams Bud Light and touchdowns, but the menu thinks it's auditioning for Top Chef: International Confusion. Order anything and you're basically signing up for an edible coin toss. Rumor has it this place started as a pizza joint, but what arrives at the table calls itself deep dish, but it looks more like something rescued from a high school cafeteria tray. The crust is thick but joyless, the sauce is a rumor at best, and the cheese is sprinkled on like an afterthought. Dawn was our server today. She was cheerfully making suggestions such as the Smoke House burger with onion rings. It was delicious and hit the spot for lunch. Ambience is casual with music and many diverse sports actio large screen televisions. The service is fast and accurate hot and ready from the kitchen. I highly recommend BJ's fun for family, couples, large groups in a private room. The full bar is magnificently stocked with many liquors, many brew House brands and soft drinks to satisfy everyone. I'm originally from California where I had a BJ's in my hometown and loved the options it offered. When I moved to the East Coast, there wasn't one anywhere near me. When I first came to Cary, NC and saw that one was here I always make sure to stop by at least once during my stay. BJ's as a whole offers rewards at each of their locations which is great for those who come often. They have a M-F happy hour that gives great discounts on appetizers and drinks. The interior offers plenty of seating and exudes a "bar-like" atmosphere. My husband and I sat at the bar which was not super busy upon arrival. We ordered two appetizers to share, and each got one menu item for ourselves. The food tasted great, and as I do on every visit, I partook in one glass of BJ's own Berry Burst Cider. BJ's brewery is the perfect place for great bar like food. Some of my favorite foods at BJ's are: the deep dish pizza, salmon, and their fish and chips. What stuck out to me the most about this experience at BJ's was our waiter Brian. 10 stars across the board! Brian serviced our party which hosted 8 people, 8 people who I'm certain each had a different request and need throughout the service. Out of the service provided Brian was on top of EVERYTHING! My family and I visited this restaurant after going to the movies on Friday night, July 5, 2024. We did not have reservations, but as they were not very busy, we were able to get seated right away. It has a great atmosphere conducive for solo visits and large groups. The staff was professional and friendly. We did not feel rushed so we were able to take our time perusing the menu and ordering several dishes. Our server, Chloe H, was delightful. She took great care of us and brought our dishes out in a timely manner. I had lots of questions about menu items, and she was gracious enough to spend some time answering my questions and making sure that I had all the information that I needed. We ordered various things from the menu. The food in general was good, but there was no pizzazz. My lemon pepper wings were OK, but was not what I imagined for it being roasted and prepared in the way that it was described in the menu. The lemon pepper seasoning was not ingrained in the flavor of the wings. It was more like if the lemon pepper seasoning was sprinkled over the wings. I enjoyed the onion rings but again it was just standard, nothing special. The surf and turf and salmon dishes were alright. Of everything ordered, the highlight was the PIZOOKIE®. Overall, we had an enjoyable time with our visit at this restaurant. We did visit this restaurant after 9:30 PM at night so perhaps that's why we didn't have that level of excitement about the food. Service was great. Our waitress Drew was on the spot. That's about the only good experience we had. The shrimp and Parmesan bread- awful. Tasted like plastic. The weekday lunch special is $13 and includes a personal pizookie. One of the options for this is an unlimited soup and salad which is what I ordered. I tried two different soups. Chicken fiesta (or southwestern) soup was tasty. Not a huge fan of bell peppers though but they were small. The clam chowder was excellent though. I loved the thick broth which wasn't overly creamy like glue but it had lots of clams and was delicious. The Caesar salad came out on an ice cold plate and the dressing and Asiago cheese shreds added great flavor to the romaine. Crunchy, fresh croutons too. Would definitely come back for this deal which is offered Monday through Friday during lunch. The soup and salad (no refills) is $12.99 but for a penny more why not get unlimited soup and salad plus pizookie for dessert? Great service and no long wait even during lunch time. I've never been to a BJ's before and most likely will never go again. The vibe was good and I really appreciated that the music wasn't blaringly loud like many restaurants. I ordered the jambalaya and my boyfriend ordered steak with sides. The food was just meh. Not inedible, but not delicious or satisfying. We were hungry so it was fine, but I can make better food at home. We ordered one the Pizookie's hoping it would provide some satisfaction and it did not. The cookie was grainy like the sugar wasn't dissolved properly. Honestly it's a shame the food isn't good because everything else about the place was good. While in the area we stopped in for a spontaneous dinner on Saturday 4/25/26 & absolutely loved it. Sherman our server was polite, friendly & attentive to our table. I normally don't care for pub or brewhouse food, but this particular restaurant is 10/10! Food, service and atmosphere were comfortable and friendly. They have plenty of parking. The wings were amazing. The brisket hamburger was very tasty and all around the flavor was there. WOW! The service here was unbelievably good! I haven't had such a great restaurant experience in a long time. Our waiter, Sherman, was very charismatic and funny. He had us all laughing from the start. Sherman along with the manager, Charles, and chef, Isaiah, insisted that I order ANYTHING on the menu on the house - simply because I was only going to have a water. I ordered their crispy jalapeño burger and added bacon. It did not disappoint! It was cooked to perfection and the fried jalepeños were a nice touch. I visited the restaurant again and today May 7th at 1:10 pm and got greeted by a rather curt and slightly hostile seating hostess. That really ticked me off. And the way she responded to me was unwarranted. I want to make sure this gets the attention it needs. Additionally, when my wife ordered her usual strawberry lemonade they did not include freshly cut strawberries in it. This is a sign of inconsistency and lack of organization. I can't believe how low this place is dropping in terms of performance. The clam chowder was way too salty for my wife. So much so that my wife didn't finish it. I ordered the prime rib and the grilled chicken Alfredo and we're just waiting to see how it goes and hopefully this place will redeem itself. The grilled chicken Alfredo had way more noodles than chicken and the sauce was so watery that you could slurp it with a straw. Thank goodness it was better tasting than the soup The only saving grace was the prime rib. The rib was flavorful and well apportioned. I should add that it was cooked perfectly. The asparagus was, like the soup, way too salty. The couscous Mac and cheese was average. So here are the grades. The hostess gets a C+. Isaac our server gets an A. The Caesar salad was a C. The pasta was a dismal D (wife only had a few bite fulls before she gave up on it) and the prime rib gets a B+. First there were 3 hostess and 2 were really nice and one of them was insanely rude to the others. Then our server was so sweet. Now the food was awful, not to mention how expensive it was. If I'm paying $20+ for 1 entree I want it to come with seasoning. The chicken didn't even have salt and pepper. Tried this place again 2x now- and it's still hit or miss. And yes, we always speak with management if there is an issue. Dined in and noticed many items that use to be on the menu were discontinued. The tri-tip is gone which was disappointing. Now replaced with a small sirloin which was okay but not as good as the tri-tip they used to have. They also advertised on the website their brownie piezookie but this location no longer has it. They no longer have any piezookies with fudge and were not willing to add fudge to the ones we wanted. So we turned down ordering 2 piezookies. The chicken pitas Mediterranean dish was okay but very messy with the pitas quickly getting so soggy you couldn't pick them up and the cucumbers did not taste good and had a dark bitter taste.
