I enjoy Cava but this location wasn't my favorite. The food station was pretty messy with food spilled everywhere. The staff were nice although I felt rushed while ordering. My fiancé ordered the spicy lamb meatballs. It looked like they were running low so the guy was scraping the burnt scraps from the bottom into his bowl instead of asking if we wanted to wait for a new batch or get something else. I had a great experience at this location. I met up with a friend for lunch and we both enjoyed our bowls. I ordered the falafel crunch bowl and the added super greens. I didn't like the taste of the pickled onions and some of the veggies didn't taste well together, but the falafel had the best flavor and didn't give me heartburn! I also purchased the cucumber, mint, lime drink. Out of all the drinks this one had the most drink inside the tank. (I thought oh no it's the least likable?). tldr; I did not know this place existed and now it is in my regular rotation. A friend described it to us as "Chipotle but for Mediterranean food" and boy was that spot on. Everyone got bowls but since I'm a troublemaker who doesn't conform I got a pita wrap. It was messy and delicious. There were a ton of toppings and bits and bobs to choose from, and it was all super good. Ambience was like that of a typical fast food chain, and service was unremarkable (neither good nor bad). I will note we stood in line for 40 minutes to get our food and I'm told that isn't the typical experience. That is a long wait time, but the food was so good I'm still giving 5 stars. So I tried out Cava in Chino Hills for the first time today! The parking lot was pretty full when we arrived and there was a line to the door at lunch time. The wait was about 20 minutes, which was a little long even for lunch time. I decided to make my own bowl with rice and veggies. Got the Harissa Honey chicken and a bunch of their toppings. The ingredients seemed fresh but I wish I got a little more protein and overall a solid dish except for the long wait. Will be back for more in the future! read more

I'm so over this location. I order delivery from here at least once a week and I walk in and order. My 5 meals have hardly any lettuce in them. They send a questionnaire after all deliveries and I always say the same thing.... not enough lettuce. Nothing changes. This time they only delivered 3 of my 5 meals. There's no way to call in and talk to someone, so we ended up driving there to pick it up ourselves. Pretty useless after $25.00 in fees for delivery charges. read more

I've been to several CAVA's around the OC/LA area and I have to say, this location didn't do CAVA justice. Ordered 2 build your own bowls; one without salad to which we normally get a tad more rice but the rice scoops were very small here and the end result of the bowl was tiny. The chicken also had lots of burnt edge pieces that we needed to cut off. Not sure how often tables are wiped down as our table was quite sticky with food pieces on the chair. It was peak lunch hour so we didn't have too many seating options available. Would personally get other food options while in the area and visit other CAVA eateries to satisfy my craving - the Irvine locations are always great! read more

Tried this place for the first time this past Tuesday for lunch. When I had arrived, there were about ten people in line. The reason I give this establishment 3 stars because it took 45 minutes for me to actually place my order. I would strongly recommend they revamp their system in taking outside orders. The problem is that the same youngsters that are taking/filling your order are also fulfilling the on line/phone orders. So, even though I was next, I watched 3 other orders being prepared that did not belong to anyone in line. So, if you're on a time constraint, I would suggest this is not the place to go. I ordered a grilled chicken bowl. It was very tasty. I have no qualms with the food. It was delicious and filling. Also, I must commend the young man and young lady fulfilling the orders. I normally don't do reviews but the couple of times I have been to THIS Cava, the garlic dressing (the really really white one) has been runny like water. Now there were times where they were out of garlic dressing. Which I'd rather have no garlic dressing, than watery, clear, bubbly, garlic dressing. Because you tell me what that looks like. No garlic dressing. Also, I don't think that the workers have attitudes like some reviews say, but they definitely don't smile. Except for the cook in the back they smiled. read more

Of all the Cava's I order from, this particular store will mess up your order whether it's in person or online. It's crazy how much they don't care to get your order right and have the audacity to argue with you about which item you ordered. Like no, ma'am... i didn't order the chicken harissa, i ordered an ALL VEGGIE bowl and the bowl you're trying to hand me has meat in there. I understand people mess up and that's OKAY! i'm not bothered by a mistake. But it's not okay when I communicate that what you're handing me is not what I ordered and i'm met with attitude or an argument. Like??? Just the attitude of some of the workers, whether with me or other customers is enough to make me walk out. Vibe is def off when their attitude is off. Don't get me started on online orders, you will get the completely wrong order, asked for harissa chicken they give the plain chicken, food is not how you wrote in the note (i.e. dressings on TOP of the food, hummus on the SIDE, which is extra $$), just to have the dressings on the side and the hummus be missing!! After 8 visits coming this specific store, I have had ONLY 2 decent encounters. The other 6x were an absolute headache, both online and in person. If you come here, make sure the food you get is yours! And they don't leave out any of the sides or extra charges that you paid for! They like to say they added it to the bag or bowl, but it's the sides of the dressings you wanted ON TOP of the food, not on the side. Overall, I won't order online or come to this location, I'd much rather drive the extra miles to avoid this headache located in chino. read more
