There aren't many shawarma places in chino/chino hills that I know about, but Pizzita made its mark on me. It's been around for years, and definitely for good reason! It's spacious inside, lots of tables and some high top seating, and a bright sign outside showing "Halal" for anyone looking! The menu has a lot, from their popular pizzas to shawarma skewers, pitas and bowls, if you want it, they have it. I got a beef shawarma pita with garlic sauce, and I have to say it was packed full with as much as possible. Every bite was so flavorful, the meat was tender and there was no shortage of hummus or sauce. It wasn't over or under drenched. And the pizza itself has some pretty sweet cheese pull from each bite. Tender with a crisp, I love coming to this place for their great quality and quick turnaround time. The lady at the front is super kind and if you don't know what to order, take some advice from her recommendations. We've visited three times now, and the first two visits were wonderful, the food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, yesterday when we ordered to-go, we were disappointed to find that the ground beef was overcooked and almost burnt. It was so dry it resembled carne asada rather than ground beef. I believe this may have just been a one-time slip, since our previous experiences were great. Still, it was very disappointing to get home and not be able to enjoy the meal, especially considering the plate was $23. I'd recommend checking your order before leaving, and perhaps the staff could also do a quick quality check, as the overcooking was visible. read more

My wife and I wanted to take another couple out for the husband's birthday. They had heard about this restaurant from their pastor out in Chino. Apparently, they've been struggling so he's asked his congregation to help them out and give them some business. We all like Mediterranean food so we figured we'd check it out even though it was a bit of a drive out there. Pizzita is located in a large shopping center and parking can a bit of a problem so you may need to walk a bit. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Having scanned the menu the night before, I had decided to order the steak plate while my wife ordered the chicken shawarma. My wife was pleased with her food while I found the sirloin to be acceptable but a little chewy. The rice didn't thrill me much. I found it rather clumpy rather than fluffy like the places I frequent closer to home. I will say the hummus, garlic sauce, and cucumber cream sauce (not sure about the name) were all excellent. I wasn't thrilled about the fact that you have to pay extra to get pita bread with a platter. Most places, it's understood the bread is part of the deal. Although the Baklava was tasty, $4.95 for such a dinky square didn't jive with me either. I think the issues with the pita and Baklava drive me to give a 3 star rather than 4. The price of the rest of the meal was fair enough. I would say the restaurant is worth giving a try. Me and my wife had been coming here since 2021, my wife even longer still for the simple reason that it was good but this recent experience has made sure we're never going in again. We ordered two sirloin plates and we found out they not only was the meat incredibly tough but that they use wooden skewers to cook the meat. How did we find this out? Through the unfortunate experience of having my tongue stabbed by splinters in the steak. I called and asked for an exchange, all the meat was still there as we had barely started making our way through the plate when I discovered the foreign objects in my food. I called and asked if they could remake my order or give me a refund; I was even willing to bring the plate back. The lady working there did her best to communicate between me and the owner and ended up playing phone tag. The owner REFUSED to speak to me. The lady working there let me know that in the end, the owner didn't want to give me a refund or exchange because we had eaten HALF OF A PITA that comes with our plate. The outright refusal to resolve our concern and reasoning that "it never happens" shows a complete disregard for the safety and satisfaction of the customer. Had I known I had to inspect my food for foreign objects before starting it I would've just chosen not to eat there. Anyway, here's evidence. We're never coming back here but if you want to know what it's like getting splinters in your mouth, paying 20 bucks for plate of overcooked meat and having to be thankful about it then this is the place for you. read more

Usually when I get one of these Too Good to Go they give you a very abundant amount of food that barely fits the container. This looks like they are using this option for marketing purposes, to get people to go to their place. I feel like they gave me 6.99 worth of actual food. The pick up time was 3:00 pm, so they are not disposing of the food. For this price I can get a kids meal at Cava (Mediterranean Food) and get more food and a pita and feel satisfied with the portion. If they do this for marketing, I will not be going back. The rice and chicken were cold and the humus texture was more like sour cream and no flavor at all. We get Mediterranean food all the time, this place is not authentic and overpriced. read more

I usually get the chicken platter and it is always fantastic--the chicken is tender and flavorful, and the sides (salad, hummus, and pita-my usual) are all fresh and delicious. Have been coming for years and the prices have been going up while the service and quality has gone down. Most recently, I got the baba ganoush and it tasted spoiled so I brought it back to the kind lady that was working behind the counter. She didn't believe me and tasted it for herself, immediately realized it went bad, and apologized and let me choose another side after. She was very apologetic and felt bad. It wasn't her fault but it makes you wonder how long the baba ganoush was sitting there. The cashier is usually pretty unfriendly too, which is unfortunate because she's the face of the restaurant and does not make people feel welcome back. Inside seating is spacious but when I've been there only half of the seating is open with the other half sealed off. The chicken was a little dry but flavorful and the tzatziki more than made up for that. The rice was also really good and their pita was fantastic, fluffy and tasty. The plain hummus was really good, as was the chipotle hummus. My partner had their falafel platter and it was the second best falafel I've had. It was super good. Never would have found this gem if it hadn't been recommended. Everything was delicious and fresh. Honestly the best falafel I've had in So Calif! Authentic Mediterranean food par excellence. One of our go to places for healthy food. Their babaganoush is one of my favorites and I could really just eat this and be happy. My husband likes their jalapeño hummus. I typically order the chicken platter with rice and get the Mediterranean salad dressing. I've had them cater several of office events and also for my own personal family get togethers. The food has always been a hit and I get asked all the time where we ordered it from. Service is friendly and fast. The paneer tikka masala pizza does not taste anything like tikka masala. I didn't even see any paneer on it. The chicken tikka masala also did not taste anything like it should. I don't think they should be calling it that. Just spicy cheese pizza. The falafel platter was okay, they put all three sauces together in one section and it mixes all up which is not great. I came here to try out the food tonight after this place was recommended. The service was great, no complaints there. The employee that took our order and prepared the food was very helpful and pleasant. The overall ambiance however, was lacking in my opinion- from the torn seats in the small dining area, to the extremely loud pop music, it was just not a place I would recommend for a dine in meal. The food actually tasted fine overall, between my kids and I we ordered salad bowls with chicken and lamb skewers, along with 2 types of hummus, and a personal size white pizza. My daughter thought the white pizza was "ok" on flavor but finished it. My other daughter and I had salad with hummus and chicken/lamb. We liked the hummus (great flavor!) and the meat as well. The problem was, we received more than we ordered: we each found hair mixed into our salads! Yuck! I brought this to the attention of the employee that prepared our food (partly because I noticed both girls working had their hair in very loose buns/claw clips while working with the food) and was offered a credit for my next visit which was nice, but I won't be back so I didn't accept. I LOVE supporting small business. I've patronized Pizzita Circle for years with my family and friends. Today, I vow to never return. We ordered, I picked up our food, showing her the order number. I told her the wrong name since it's sometimes under different names. I'm given food, get home and realize it's mostly right, but missing hummus, pita, baclava & it's the wrong pizza. No biggie...it happens. We call and the manager disrespectfully talks to my wife blaming us for taking the wrong order. Wouldn't eat here again. Got the Chicken Pita Wrap with Garlic and Chipotle Hummus, and the Beef Shawarma Pita Wrap with Tzatziki and Regular Hummus. They put soooo much sauce/hummus that it was impossible to eat and made the pita get soggier/not hold up as well. We had to empty out the sauce from the pita in order to even eat without making a complete mess! The chipotle hummus was decent and the garlic sauce was fresh, very garlicky. The online experience is not great and your customer service is not great. I asked for sauce that could pair with my food and a lady said it should be in the bag but it wasn't. I don't know if you don't offer Tzatziki or toum( whipped garlic ) but my meal was missing that. The salad was bitter/ mushy( not fresh) or just bad lettuce and cucumber. The hummus was from a can as it didn't feel fresh or just not good ingredients. This was my first time here and while the food was great my order was switched with my friend they put her chicken on my plate and my beef on her plate we switched them, but still it wasn't busy and they still made a mistake. The service was very nice tho, the lady behind the counter was informative and kind. There is limited sitting inside most of the seating is blocked off but there is enough seating for 3 parties. Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally stopped in for lunch. Upon entering we were pleasantly greeted by the employee at the counter and she quickly took our order. (Don't forget to check in on Yelp for your FREE fountain drink) I opted for the impossible patty platter. It comes with a salad, 3 sides , rice, impossible patty and your choice of pita. I chose the jalapeño pita, cilantro hummus, baba ghanoush, and garlic sauce. Our food came out in less than 5 minutes, it was hot, salad was fresh, sides were oh so flavorful and filling! (You'll have garlic breath for a while but it's worth it lol) My only complaint is how warm it was inside the restaurant. You can feel a burst of air when you enter and leave but that's it, it was as warm inside as it was out. I admit it was tasty and the flavors I was hoping for. You get a green salad and 3 side choice, I got a hummus, tzatziki and Baba Ganoush. I liked most of it. Tzatziki was too runny and not as tart as I like. One huge additional disappointment was they charged me an additional dollar for pita bread. It's too expensive for what I received. I used to go here all the time but now service is not great and I have had issues with my food as well. Yesterday I order several items and paid 80 dollars for my order. One of the items was a margherita pizza. When I got home, which was 20 minutes away, I opened the pizza and it was burned from the top and it tasted burnt. I called to let them know and the lady started questioning me saying that it is usually burned from the bottom but not the top. I told her I had a picture that I could forward for evidence. So she said "ok then what do you want to do?" I told her I didn't want to go back again that day because it would take me 40 minutes to go back and forth so she said she would make a note of it and that I just needed to let them to know and they'll redo it. I called today and supposedly another lady answered, she sounded the same, and told me she didn't know anything about it and that she couldn't do it and that I need to wait for the manager to come in which was in two hrs. I was in the area and I wanted it then. When I asked if she could call the manager, she again replied rudely, " She comes in at 1, call her then" how rude. Not getting anything from there again.
