Spotted a bright big restaurant a couple doors down from chipotle. I had to decide if I wanted to wait on the very long chipotle line or check out something different and healthy! Definitely a chipotle concept start off with rice or salad. The protein selection was very unique. Fresh flavorful items with unlimited toppings. My bowl started with spinach, lentils, harissa chicken a few toppings and the RED PEPPER HUMMUS. Hot harissa dressing to top it off. I would love to try the other yummy selections. First time eating at one of these restaurants. It was a good experience. Arrived at the right time since the line was very long after sitting down to eat. This is one of those counter service type places. Similar to how you order at Chipotle but way better with options for your meal. The young man taking the initial part of the order was kind and patient enough to explain to this 1st timer how things work. The salad greens were fresh and all the other ingredients well prepared. This is one of my favorite casual carry out spots. This is basically a Mediterranean chipotle. My go to is: White rice, super greens, falafel, red pepper hummus, Tzatziki, pita crisps, hot peppers, feta, and tomatoes/onions and garlic dressing. The falafel is pretty good! The best thing is their red pepper hummus! Great flavor. They have a nice selection of craft sodas & juices. I like the strawberry citrus juice. Line is never too crazy either. Tried to stick to cooking at home all week, but yeahhhh, that def didn't last. Figured I'd check out some options by Dobbin to see what struck my mood - promptly saw that large Cava sign and knew immediately. Hands down, the biggest brightest Cava location ever. I remember when veggie toppings used to be limited to a specific quantity, so that must mean I haven't been in awhile, because they're now unlimited! My order had to be the easiest ever: lil bit of everything please lol. Luckily the lid fit the bowl and I transported it back home no problem. Ive been coming to this location since they opened, i've visited countless other locations but they don't compare. The food at this location is exceptional, its always hot and fresh. The servers always give great portions and are always very welcoming and customizeable. The service is great, the cashier and the other team are very friendly. So went to this restaurant tonight to be treated like trash once again. After almost a year I thought I'd go back. Crazy the same racist lady who was ignorant to me a year ago is still working here. There was a Latina woman in front of me who asked for extra rice. She got extra rice and extra meat. They didn't charge her for the extras. The Latina worker was very exceptionally nice to this Latina. She gets to me and has a nasty attitude like last time. I still am polite to her. Yes mam. No mam. I ask for a little extra rice due to her only putting way less than the usual. She slams the rice into the bowl and speaks to her coworker in Spanish "It's the same dirty monkey from long time ago ". Mind you I'm clean cut , cologne on and dressed very clean . This is very disheartening that she would say another racist comment to me. I ask for the manager and he comes up and says he hears nothing and nobody is racist. Does nothing and walks off. My first complaint got me nowhere. I want to have something a little bit healthier. Yes you pick your veggies you can choose from slider greens super greens mix or you can have Jess and baby spinach or other vegetables of your choice. And you can pick your grain out of lentils, brown rice, or white rice. Then you pick your protein. With a spicy lamb meatballs but you can choose beef meatballs or chicken as well yes as a couple other protein options that I cannot remember. You then top it off with the dressing of your choice. **3.5 stars** I've had Cava in NYC a few times and remember it tasting and providing a different experience than Chipotle... but this location, it totally felt like and tasted like Chipotle minus the salsa. Okay, so it is extremely rare that I give a chain restaurant 5 stars, but I think this place deserves it. It deserves it so much that I am taking the time out to write the review while I'm here (usually I wait until I have time but this time I made time :-)! Anyways, I think I'm a little late to the CAVA train, but in this case, I say better late than never. If you haven't given this place a try, come aboard! If you like places that give you plenty of options that work well together in a bowl (i.e., Chipotle, Qdoba, etc.), then you'll like this Mediterranean spin! It's set up similarly, but with more space and, IMO, healthier options. I ordered the Greens + Grains bowl with brown basmati rice; super greens (kale, broccoli, Brussels spouts); three different dips: tzatziki, original hummus and eggplant + red pepper, diced cucumbers, tomato + onion; and topped it off with a little pickled onions and feta cheese. Yummy! I also got two salad dressing options on the side: Greek vinaigrette and green harissa (just a hint of spice). Oh, and don't forget the pita bread on the side. It's perfect to dip in the hummus. Let me just tell you that the flavor profile of this bowl was out of this world amazing! Also, it is beyond filling. I think I'm going to save the rest for dinner. I finally popped my CAVA cherry! After hearing so much about it, I was glad to finally have the chance to give it a try. I happened to be in the area for a work training and when lunch time hit, I changed my initial plan to go to Wegmans and hit up CAVA. For starters, if you come at lunch time, expect a long line. At first, I didn't see this as a big deal since I've seen lines to the door at Chipotle and we were out of there fairly quickly. This line, however, didn't move as quickly as I would've liked and some people even got out of line and left. I felt stuck because I had a limited amount of time and didn't have time to find another place to get lunch at this point. Other than the crazy line, the service was great and friendly and the food was tasty. I got a rice bowl with chicken and plenty of toppings. Good service, tasty food. When I've dined at this location, the workers have been very polite and efficient. Typically I order to-go but dined in with a friend for the first time on my last visit. We came around 4PM on a Thursday - post-lunch, pre-dinner, so there was barely anyone there - it was nice and quiet and made for a good spot to have a relaxing meal. I have to ding them one star for cleanliness. The table we wanted was covered in crumbs and we had to wipe it table down ourselves. Pretty unacceptable, especially because it wasn't busy, so there was downtime for an employee to come by and ensure the tables were clean. The novelty is starting to wear off. Where do I even begin with the issues that I have experienced recently? No romaine, out of pitas, 10+ minute wait on falafel, out of half of the toppings and "too busy" to refill, juice machines low or out of juice, rude workers... My visit on Thursday 5/11 took the cake. I typically order online to avoid the lunch rush and have only had a problem once or twice (they were out of brown rice and had to give me the other rice instead, no biggie). Well, I ordered online last Thursday, two greens and grains bowls with falafel and one drink. I looked in my bag before leaving and the bowls looked great and I had my two pitas. I drove 30 minutes home, sat down to eat after a long day, and was beyond annoyed when my bowl had NO falafel on it! How did they manage to put falafel on only one bowl? I'm hangry and just spent +$20 on lunch... my husband felt bad and gave me two of his falafel, but then his bowl wasn't as filling for him. MEH. I called Cava not once, not twice, but three times that afternoon with no answer. I then emailed on the website and expressed how dissatisfied I was with my experience.... here we are a week later with no response and the people working at the actual store still don't pick up the phone. This is an honest review on a dinner I had there last night. First off, I was surprised that their menu only had about seven or eight offerings. The one I chose was avocado chicken dish ........ first of all the greens that they used were terrible. I'm not sure what type of lettuce greens were used, but they were bitter and hard and not tasty at all, they also included cut up raw brussels sprouts, which I couldn't even eat because they were so tough. I think I got maybe four or five pieces of chicken the rice was dry, as I walked through the line to insert the ingredients I noticed there was 5-6 immigrant women working this section, NONE of which spoke any English. Really......???? WTF...... I did ask for some extra tzatziki sauce, which was an uplift of $1.00 for a TEASPOON, and as I moved down the line, the main thing of the dish which was avocado they forgot to put in. Wtf..... I had to ask for the avocado to be put in since that was the main topping for the dish. Basically it was just ridiculous and not tasty and expensive as hell. My somewhat small bowl cost me $16.50 and I wish I had a chance again I would gladly go to chipotle next-door or across the street to Nalley fresh which I think is five times better than this CAVA store. read more

It's set up like Chipotle but in my opinion way better because there's way more options for toppings. They don't seem that generous with the toppings but I guess they can't just be giving away their profit. I had the kids meal and that was more than enough for me not to be stuffed. They give you a cup so you can pour your own which allows you to try more than one juice. I had the carrot, ginger, and lemon juice then I had the lime and strawberry. I only go here because my daughter loves Cava and doesn't have one at school. But after last night's (11/26) experience I don't think I'll be visiting again. We arrived at 815pm and they do not close at 10:30pm. They were already cleaning the stations as if they were closing. As we were ordering the young lady behind the toppings was quite impatient and rolled her eyes as if we were taking to long choosing our toppings. Then as we were sitting trying to eat another employee comes along spraying disinfectant on the tables and chairs on both sides of us. The community table had people sitting at both ends and she went over and started cleaning in between them. Both families looked at her and she just continued to clean. When people are eating in your establishment let them enjoy their meal instead of coming up on them to clean because you want to go home for the day. It's all very fresh and it's quite tasty. I enjoyed mine thoroughly. Nice clean restaurant with high ceilings, lots of glass to see what's going on with the food, and light wood tones that give off a feeling of "fresh" and "clean." I've only been to Cava once, but I love it so much already! It reminds me of a Mediterranean Chipotle, where you can personalize your meal with a variety of toppings. I went for the Grain Bowl with saffron basmati rice and grilled meatballs. It was so good, but I wish they gave more meatballs because I think I only got four. I absolutely love how they have compost bin and compostable utensils too. Such a great way to help our environment!
