Came here today for the first time and got the lemon chicken bowl- (no substitute) dressing on the side and it was so good! Super fresh and flavorful I didn't even need to add the lemon dressing. The blackberry lavender juice mixed with sweet tea was super yummy too! read more

Just left the restaurant at 7:50pm after having a 7:15pm pickup order time. I mean the service was just ridiculous, people legit started going into the order line just to pick up their already paid for pickup orders. Finally after waiting 30 minutes, I went up to the front & they didn't even know of my order?? The girl asked to take a photo of my order on my phone which I thought was strange & once I went back to her to confirm if she took a photo of my order modifications so that my order was correct & she gave us nasty attitude. There were about 6-7 other people waiting even longer than we had! Not sure what is going on, but this is nothing like the experiences I've had at previous Cavas, management needs to make some kind of changes/improvements. read more

Really good products served here. Vey Flavorful and fresh I must say! I would define this as a healthier "Chipotle". You can customize your bowl or pita with a good variety of protein, veggies and toppings. The inside sitting area is very open and in my opinion a little bit on the loud side. But to much to bother, however. A product is not everything of a business. Sadly the service I received at this location was not even decent! My first visit was during lunch time. My second visit was last night for dinner. Both visits order pretty much the same thing. The place wasn't crowded. But the actitud of the front staff wasn't very welcoming. It almost was like if a burden to serve. So I don't understand why the tone in which some of the front staff was directed so dry and opposite from inviting. The food itself if very delicious. It is awesome to know that there's an alternative that is healthy and equally delicious near by. But food is only is part of the equation. And service should be give with joy and intention. Definitely do not like Cava's. They do not hold a candle compared to Zoe's Kitchen. There is no beef or shrimp or any kabobs on their menu whatsoever! Only chicken and Lamb! The food is always great, however, the service is something else altogether. I was placing an online order and I made the mistake of not changing the time of pickup. I called immediately to see if I could switch the time and was told no there is nothing they could do. I accepted this at first and hung up. I called right back and requested to speak with a manager and her response was so unprofessional and rude. She said as I just told you there is nothing that can be done. Your order has been received and is in process of being made. How you speak to a person goes a long way and sometimes if you say it in a manner that isn't condescending and rude it will be received much better. read more

I honestly love the food at Cava. I will say however they need a overhaul on their customer service and how they treat customers at the Waterside location. This has happened off and on since my first encounter at the Waterside location where staff will refuse to talk/ acknowledge you, stop to talk to other staff members about unrelated topics, and speak to you very short if you have a question. This most recent time I wasn't even told my amount by the cashier, who proceeded to silently stare me down, then tapped at the payment screen until I held my card to the tap screen. Clean friendly delicious. Mediterranean food in a chipotle like set up. Decided to try the bowl. Selected salad/saffron rice as base. Added falafel and meatballs, roasted red pepper hummus, roasted corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and topped with delicious lemon tahini salad dressing. I was lucky enough to get an invitation to the soft opening and I am so grateful. I was (am) a huge Zoe's Kitchen fan and was saddened to hear it was turning into a Cava. I'm delighted to say Cava rocks. The food was fantastic. It's sort of like a Chipotle but Mediterranean Style. I had a salad with roasted red pepper hummus, chicken, meatballs and a variety of vegetables. I truly cannot wait until they are open on a regular basis. I see at least a once a week stop. read more

I would give this location 0 stars. I have tried it a few times and every single time either they are out of certain things. Also, the servings they give have always lacked too. The employees seem to hate working here too, they never greet and when they take orders have an attitude. I love cava but do not recommend this location. I suggest the Southlake location (only other one I have been to). The owner should maybe take a look at other locations to see the difference or monitor the way this location is. My friend recommended Cava to me and I had heard good things about it. So I decided to try it for the first time for dinner on a Wednesday night. My friend has been to Cava many times and has earned app awards. Pros: Good food, Nice indoor seating. Patio seating was nice until the homeless people started hanging out there and asking us for money. Cons: bad service, not a comfortable ambiance but rather a strange vibe, the employees did not have a full understanding of the menu, the employee making my order just assumed the quanity of my order without inquiring if I need to order other things, they did not give me my receipt when I paid for my food, after putting my food on my table I went back and requested a receipt and they did not know how to produce my receipt, they ended up making a bogus receipt for me, they said my friend would receive his app rewards when he provided his phone number or scan the app at checkout but the employee never completed the app rewards transaction. When my friend requested a receipt for his app reward food items the employee didn't know how to do that so she created another bogus receipt for my friend, only one employee was stationed up front to do everything from food prep to cashiering while the other employees ignored her and watched the chicken cook, never saw that one employee doing everything wash her hands. My overall first impression: after spending $50 there for dinner to sample many of the menu items with my friend, I had a terrible first experience and I want to stay away from that place. read more

I really think the poor experience has to do with the management/ team. I have been to several different locations and the staff are always great and friendly. Every time I order from this location particularly the food is wrong, there's something missing, or the staff are unfriendly. I always try again in hopes of things changing and it just doesn't. The taste of the food is ok; however, they have started to skimp out on the food. When the worker gave me half a spoon of rice, I asked for more (it should be one scoop) and they said it would be an extra dollar. The supervising manager actually told the worker to scoop less, haha. The issue is, no other Cava branch in the Dallas Fort Worth area does that. Just go to any Dallas Cava location and the workers are pretty chill poc and fill the bowl according to measurement. At this Fort Worth location however, there are many workers who are invested in the profits of an establishment that overworks and underpays them (we see what they do to you). Sad... Of course, if the manager is pretty abusive, I guess the workers have no say. read more

Updated review : The last few times we've went after I got off from work they have started closing almost an hour early, shutting down registers 45 minutes till close trying to refuse cash, said they were "out" of this & that, when I could tell they just didn't want to make more. I know how it is. I'd understand if we were those people that came in 10 minutes till, but it's consistently been 30-45-1hr early that they jump the gun on closing duties and make it the customer's problem that they started their tasks way too early. read more

The food is excellent. But I would not recommend placing an order for pick up. You'll get much faster service if you just wait in line and order when you get there. Placed an order to pick up at 7:45, did not walk out of the restaurant with my food until 8:51. The employees did not offer any explanation or compensation for the long wait either. Meanwhile, people were walking in, standing in line, ordering and receiving their food all while I was still waiting long past my pick up time. Another customer waiting for a pick up order even got in the line, made it to the counter to order, explained he had a pick up order, and they simply told him he had to wait in the pick up area versus just making his food right then. Terrible customer service. I have emailed Cava to let them know of this issue. I sure hope they can get this fixed because their food really is very tasty. read more

Don't order online and expect it to be ready for dinner! I was excited to try Cava, since my daughter & her friends tried it and loved it. I ordered dinner for three, and when I went to pick it up, I waited 30 minutes. When I asked about it, a manager gave the four people waiting for our mobile orders a free drink, but we still waited. I decided to give Cava another try because the food was good. we ordered online at 6:48, with a 7:00 pickup time. We arrived around 7:00. It's 7:27, and my daughter is waiting for her entree. ONE entree - still waiting. If orders are going to take this long in the evenings, they should adjust their times. the food is fine. Pita chips are great!
