Food tasted great. I do think they could've given a little bit more meat, I got a grain bowl with greens, meat, rice, and any toppings I wanted. They only gave me four meatballs for the bowl which I think it skimpy when the total came to $14.00. For the first time at Cava, I experienced the worst customer service. The workers were extremely rude, they did not properly answer one question I had about the food, and got frustrated at me for not understanding the question being asked. Today was community free lunch from 11 to 2 pm with regular service and hours start tomorrow , there was long line but servers provided good info on menu if you are new to cava grill , everything tasted fresh and good . Highly recommend based on my first visit . read more

Visiting the area with work and I wanted to find something healthy-so glad I found Cava!! I love that your base can be rice, arugula, black lentils (and more!), I love the options, everything was so fresh and full of flavor. I got a black lentil base, with hummus, harrisa, falafel, tomatoes, beans, olives, cauliflower-it was fantastic, not too filling, just the right amount. Highly recommended!! read more

This place is nothing like the CAVA in Ashburn!! It's 10x better!! I've been going to Cava here in Gainesville for a while, like a year or so, and let me start off by saying that the customer service there is amazing. They always assure me that the quality of the food there is great! The juices there are by far my favorite, they're amazing. I highly recommend the Jasmine tea and the lemonade they offer! Food wise, I recommend the super greens salad with white rice and lentils with falafel and hummus, it's delicious! The workers there, as I mentioned earlier are fantastic, they always engage with me and make me smile, and they're great with compliments :)! Alejandra, a manager there, always asks how my day is going and is so, so sweet! This place is amazing, high quality Mediterranean food. I highly recommend it. The seating area and place is spotless. I never have complaints about this place. Healthy options, great flavor. My kids are picky so I don't bother trying to feed them here (though I've tried on several occasion). I love their online memo/ordering options - it easy to plan dinner when we're too busy to cook, my husband just pick up the order on his way home. It does get busy when you dine-in during lunch hour and the staff, though usually friendly, get a little flustered it seems and rush you. I feel with so many options available you can't rush the process even for those who frequent the establishment often. read more

We really like CAVA. Great fast food style mediterranean food. You choose salad or pita or rice/lentils bowl, or all the above. Then you get to choose from one of 6 or 8 hummouses, then your meat or vegetable, and then your toppings. It is a quick and can be a healthy option, and usually quick and healthy don't go together. For that reason alone we really like CAVA. The service is usually pretty good, and it is normally very clean. The seating area can get a little messy at times, as they don't seem to have someone walking around cleaning up after people. If you have never been, I can't imagine you wouldn't enjoy it. Been here when it's busy and slow and service is definitely best when it's slow. On my first time when it was busy, staff was rude when I asked what the choices were and seemed irritated because everybody was asking what it all was. Signs with what the toppings are when ordering could be helpful. Food is all good and fresh. Saw a bag of onions sitting on the floor in the walk in cooler. Tried the Honey Green Tea and threw it away after trying to mix it with something to make it better. I definitely come for the food but won't get drinks from here. Place is usually pretty clean. Layout and seating is nice and the modern decor is refreshing. Update: Returned again to see what had changed if anything at all and the store was as clean as I've ever seen it and service was perfect. I even asked if the staff members were from a different store because it was such a difference from my last visit. read more

Man I eat here too much. Way too much when I am in town and now have got my parents addicted. I just don't think one can beat the diverse salad selections which are tasty in my opinion from dressings to toppings. I don't eat much meat so this is my fave salad spot with lentils and roasted veggies on the menu currently. I love the organic arugula and adding my hummus scoops paired with radishes, salsas, and more. I love that they offer a variety of meats for those seeking protein and can appeal to the vast spice comfort level. Warning his place is busy at peak hours but one bite and you know why. It's been a great alternative for the locals that have dined on the other salad venue near by. I think the cost is fab and they have some of the tasty beverages. Think Greek/Mediterranean Chipotle. All of the flavors and ingredients are superbly fresh and tasty. I think everything here is a bowl. You start by ordering your greens, then your grains. Pick a hummus, meat and fixin's, then a sauce and you're good to go. Very fast service. My only negative comment is I had a hard time figuring out what the caloric content of my meal was, but it felt lite, and the chicken appeared to be the lightest of the meat choices. I hope you guys consider opening a store in Woodbridge so that I can find some healthier weekend lunch dining options! I'm a fan and will be sure to frequent your stores in the future. read more

I stopped in here after a weekend camping trip and could not have asked for a better reintroduction to non-hiking food. Absolutely delicious! I got the bowl with half green and half rice which was a perfect base. Only small complaint is that the lamb juices seemed to congeal a little bit as the bowl got colder, which was a little unpleasant. But don't think there's much they could have done about that. Interesting fast food set up similar to the Chipotle(r) assembly line approach. You begin by selecting salad and/or grain then add different "toppings" as you move through the line toward the register. The menu is displayed on a billboard above and behind the service line, but has minimal information. The different "topping" selections are not labeled in any way, nor is there a description of "toppings" readily available. I felt very uncomfortable asking for a definition of each of the "toppings" since there were others behind me. Bottom line for me is that the overall setup for someone new lacks the necessary information to make informed selections. In terms of the food, I found the spice to be bland and not worth the price paid. I got a salad and drink, my 18yr old daughter (no help at all with selections--maybe I should have texted her my questions--HAHA), got a combo with drink, and chocolate milk for my grandson. Finally, a restaurant I will not feel guilty visiting! I ordered the super greens with various ingredients. I opted for falafel as my protein, and this is the reason they did not get all marks. The falafel was horrible! It is gooey in the middle and had whole chick peas. It was like pancake dough with some chick peas put in, and then not cooked all the way. I know falafel, and this was NOT it. Other than that the other ingredients were delicious. Their spreads are divine; like the hummus and special feta spread. I was told before eating here that Cava was basically a "Mediterranean Chipotle". That's a fitting description, but it's waaaaay better than that. The super greens mix is my favorite! Spicy Harissa sauce is amazing!! Spicy Lamb meatballs are absolutely delicious and the selection of toppings so varied it can be a bit overwhelming on your first couple of visits. I really enjoy Cava, but tonight's order was just unacceptable. One piece of falafel in the grain bowl. The other two orders were fine. Called the store and told them one order only had one falafel and was asked, "Did you order double meat?" Like I would have received two had I done so. ????? First let me say I absolutely LOVE CAVA but today was the worst experience! The lady fixing my bowl decided to skimp on EVERYTHING! At $9+ a bowl I would like to not see the bottom of my bowl. The gentleman in front of me asked for extra rice and and she gladly him more but when I asked she informed me it would cost extra. This was my kids' first experience here and she was totally irritated that they were inquiring about the various items. Next time I walk in and she's on the line I'll be sure to walk out and spend my money elsewhere here in Virginia Promenade. read more
