Away for business for the week in Charlotte, and I'm SO tired of eating out. It's been every meal since Monday morning, and I can't handle it any more. My team and I needed something fresh, light, healthier and satisfying. Enter CAVA. Everything we were looking to find in a meal--color, flavor and no deep fried grease. It was wonderful. We all got something relatively similar, then proceeded to make each of our meals personalized and amazingly different. So good. I wish we had these back home in the Chicago suburbs. What a wonderful meal. On 4 out of 5 starts because of the price--each of us were well over $10 a meal with water as a drink. For $17 you'd think it would be more than half full. Got a half of everything I would have gotten if I came in. But I ordered delivery, biggest mistake. Won't do that again. read more

No employees in this store want to actually work-they wipe the counters in front of you rather than complete your order-they ran out of avocados and red onions and didn't mention it until we asked why there was no avocado in the "avocado" bowls they served us. Avoid this location-it represents the corporate brand very poorly read more

This is Yafo light. Same concept, similar menu. When we arrived the tables were full and the empty ones were unbussed/unclean. Decor is nil to none and the furnishings are standard/bland. Want an inexpensive yet still tasty meal, this is a good place to go. Have time and can get to Yafo, the choice is easy, Yafo. read more

We've been noticing a pretty significant decline in the quality of this location over the past several months. However, tonight was the worst. Had carry out for four people and all four orders had something missing - including dressings, pitas, etc. We ordered dressing on the side and all were wrong and maybe had an ounce in each plastic container. The amount of food in each container was - at most - the same as a side salad at a normal restaurant. Until the service gets better - I would strongly encourage you try somewhere else. read more

Cava is a breath of fresh air for birkdale (which I love but still). Their food is delicious. It's fairly priced and there are many options. Only down side is it is a small space and often crowded. read more

Someone told me that CAVA is like the Chipotle version for Mediterranean food, and I feel like that's a good description! {Update: I now see that's a common Yelp review comment!} Basically it's a fast-casual, build your own bowl (or burrito, salad, etc.) There are so many choices (which can be overwhelming!) but the staff was happy to walk us through the menu step by step and figure out what we wanted. Very vegetarian friendly, many sauce options, so FRESH and just plain delicious. Everyone in your group can find something they'll like here. read more

What a GEM! This was my first CAVA experience and I will certainly to be back for more. The menu is very easy to manage and there are lots of choices. The staff at this location were very bubbly and helpful. I am a vegetarian so I normally am very limited on my options, but not here. I was able to eat so many things I left needing someone to push me out of the door. Amazing flavors and fresh options. They also have some cool soda options that you don't typically find in restaurants. I had their black sweetened tea and it was made to perfection. Parking was easy! The space was super clean. They even have an option to order ahead and pick up without a wait. They reward you for using the app and paying with your card on file. I will attach a photo of my food so you can see it before I cleaned it out. The tomatoes and onions that were marinated were my favorite part. Oh, and their pita bread is fresh and delicious. I can't wait to come back and give it another go, but add more falafel next time. It was soooo good!! read more

This is one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant... one employee specifically was extremely rude. Don't even think of coming anywhere close to closing time "30 minutes till for us" they turned all of the drinks machines off! even if you already bought them. After the manager and two costumers asked an employee to stop putting them away she ignored everyone and persisted and said that we could get our drinks out of the dirty buckets she poured them in! 10/10 would not dine again. No way! Spend you money somewhere else. The manager comped a lady behind us for her complete rudeness but for us we will never be back. $42 however many times gone. read more

This spot can be hit or miss, but when it's a hit it is worth it! Lots of vegan friendly options (falafel, veggies, potato). Staff is typically pretty friendly and quick to make your order. Juices used to be great but really only have lemonade since Covid. The pita chips are super tasty, when done right. Sometimes they are way too crispy/burned and that's always a bummer. These folks make eating healthy too easy!! I loved the grain & greens that I ordered. The options for veg, proteins, sauces, and grains is incredible and the quality of the ingrediants are on point. I got the falafel on my greens and they were a nice portion and super tasty. The harissa sauce adds a nice punch of spice, and the dill tatziki complemented it nicely. The black lentils were cooked al dente how I like it. Oh! And the blueberry cola is AH-mazing. My hubby loves their teas. We didnt wait for very long, cost was appropriate for quality of ingrediants and massive portions we had (i split between two meals). However, I knocked off a star cause the lentil soup was not flavorful at all, and because there wasnt enough seating for their uuber busy location. Let me preface by saying I'm usually highly unlikely to leave yelp reviews, even for terrible service or terrible food. This place is the only exception. I am blown away by how flavorful, abstract every individual ingredient seems and yet no matter the combination you're left with a satisfying custom combination of food well beyond the realm of anything chipotle, qdoba or god forbid, moe's, could offer. I've only had Mediterranean food one other time to my knowledge. I went with popular choices coupled with what I was personally interested in...and after being a constant victim of bland quick service restaurants. We've been to CAVA a few times and I've enjoyed it each time. I will be honest and say that I like YAFO better, but on this side of town this is the closest we can find, so we'll take it. I mix up what I'm going to get each time and I haven't been disappointed! The staff is always super friendly, the food is fresh and the place is clean, so we'll keep going back. Tip: You can get 'crunchy' wanton or tortilla strips on the top of your bowl. It adds a great crunch. read more

Quickly becoming a favorite spot for eating out. Grain bowls: Very flavorful and a nice big portion. A lot of options you can add to kick things up. Pita: tried this option once and it became a little to messy to handle and ended up just using a fork. No matter your choice you're winning either way. Grain bowls come with a pita for dipping in the sauce or sopping up what's left in your bowl at the end. Their teas and juices they have are also very good. I have to say that I was pretty impressed. I wanted something healthy instead of our usual Friday night pizza. We're staying low carb & this was definitely a flavorful option since you can build your own bowl. Definitely a cava fan and so glad we have one here in north charlotte! I love the healthy options and ability to customize your own bowls. The dressings are delicious ( tahini and spicy apricot and harissa are my favorites). I love the supergreens mix as well. The falafals are surprisingly tasty and hold together well. I've had dry falafels before and these are so much better! I love the app and ordering ahead of time so I can skip the line at the restaurant.
