The Cava on Kington Pike, in my opinion, is the best, tastiest, healthiest, freshest place for lunch in the Knoxville area. It's like what Chipotle was for the first couple of years it opened, the bowl concept where you pick ingredients at the counter to add at generally no extra charge. Cava is not there yet, and hopefully, they won't lose the concept of so many diverse, colorful, healthy, tasty ingredients to add to your Mediterranean inspired bowl. I'm going to surmise that there are around 20 or more different things you can add to your bowl. There are at least 3 different hummus choices. Lentils, olives, pickled vegetable choices, various salads, high protein rice, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. Cava doesn't discriminate. They cater to those who are vegan, vegetarian, or those that eat meat. And the value is there. For under $15, this really could be your big, healthy, filing meal of the day. Wow, what a concept a restaurant that, instead of filling you up with bread, fries, or chips, can fill you up with healthy, good for you, fresh tasting food. Cava is almost too good to be true. My biggest complaint is the wait time around the busy lunch hour. This is a very busy restaurant. And if you don't want to wait, you could always head down the street to whole foods and pay more for the same amount of food, which is not going to taste as good as Cava. Not to take a swipe at whole foods (hot & cold bar), which is, for the most part, OK. If you haven't tried Cava and you've done a bit of traveling and you like interesting flavors, then you'll probably like Cava a lot. read more

The buzz around Cava finally making its way to Knoxville created a level of excitement in me that I could hardly contain. I had only eaten it once before, but knew it was a favorite. I live for a high quality fast casual eatery. When you walk in, you are met with a clean and bright atmosphere. The food is in spaces where it is well lit so you see exactly how fresh it is. There are quite literally, hundreds on combinations you could choose, but it is clearly labeled with instructions to make it easy. I went with a build your own option. It was filled with half supergreens and half rice, honey chicken, and roasted veggies (sweet potato, bussels, cauliflower, and something green). I then managed to top it off with almost every single tipping they offer. I just couldn't help myself. The garlic sauce at the end is so smooth and scrumptious. It was clear they are newly opened and are training employees, but everyone was so friendly and helpful. I will be stopping in here regularly! read more

The service was not good! The girl filled my bowl and accidentally put an extra lamb meatball. Instead of giving me the extra one she whispered to her coworker something and then her friend took it out of the bowl. Only to throw it away in the trash! I don't know why she did that . It was rude and wasteful! It bothered me so much even while eating I felt I had to say something to manager. So I did! I don't know if she did anything so this is why I'm leaving a bad review. Have had fine experiences here before but today the service was so awful that I literally left without purchasing anything. When I went through the line they said they were out of chicken and it would be a 20 min wait so I said I would wait. I asked if we could get the other chicken without a up charge since there was a wait and the lady said no. Then the lady behind the counter who took my order said "is this yours?" about my food, and when I said yes, she literally crumpled up my bowl full of food and threw it away. Then I went to go sit down and after I had been waiting, she came over. My friend ordered her food online and the lady asked her name, she told her, and then she snapped at her and said "last name" in front of 10 other customers. The entire room was looking at her. Then when she brought it out she slammed it on the table and turned around without saying anything. Multiple times during our stay we saw her talking to the other workers about customers and cutting her eyes at them. She was so rude and disrespectful. Not just bad customer service but a bad experience overall. When my friend got her food the chicken (which had been cooked for 20 minutes) was still raw somehow. the girl that was rude was an African American girl with a bandana over her head and the other one that gossiped with her was a Caucasian girl working the cash register. read more

I love CAVA in general but this location has major issues with online ordering and pickup. My food has never been ready (not even close) to my pickup time and once I waited more than 30 min for a worker to tell me my order must have been stolen by someone else? It wasn't even possible because I was waiting and watched the whole time. No apologies. I keep coming back for the food but I am disappointed every time. read more

Outstanding!! Having been to several Cava locations throughout the years, I can say that my lunch with them yesterday was just as amazing as ever! This Knoxville Cava location did not disappoint! Despite the lunchtime line being out the door, filled mostly with clueless first timers who hadn't even bothered checking out the Cava website beforehand so asked the staff endless questions about every little detail, it moved quickly and we were greeted with a smile from Olivia (READ AHEAD FOLKS, educate yourselves on the ingredients and process, BE PREPARED TO ORDER). Olivia and her coworkers on the line, made my bowls exactly as I requested, they did so quickly and courteously. All of the items in my bowl were so fresh and delicious, quality veggies and meat that look and taste amazing. Nothing low quality, cheaply produced/processed is served here, thank goodness. Food is fresh and quality is consistent. The line is fast but orders online beware (I'm hoping the owners see this!) we've used the app twice around 11:15ish for lunch orders and each time it's taken about Double the time they said it would take (15 minutes but they took about 30). The worst part is if you ask about your order the staff has copped an attitude both times. We Only asked about it after 10 mins of it being late - understanding they are busy. But it would have been better both times to just go through the line. I think there is room for improvement for the take out process. read more

Wanted to like this place. Impatient servers. Like Chipotle but only Mediterranean. Way too much dressing and confusing menu. Average quality. Not worth the hype. Spicy lamb meatballs tasted like some sort of ground meat with so much fillers I could not tell what it was. Pita was like grocery store pita and a little stale. Haven't been to Cava for over a year. My chicken bowl was half full & barely any sauce was added. I had to add a bunch of stuff to it at home. Very disappointed the decline of what used to be a great meal. Sorry I won't be back. read more
