When I placed my order online, I chose the time 12:15pm.This wasn't even the earliest available time, meaning I gave them enough time to prepare my order. I arrived to pick up my order at 12:25, but the order wasn't ready and I had to wait another 15 min. The order was prepared with a significant delay. They didn't include the pickled onions I ordered, and the chicken was overcooked/dry. I've been meaning to try this spot for awhile. I always see people eat here on social media, lol. I was supposed to try this dish that one of sm influencer recommended. However, I decided to try my luck with my own choices. When I arrived early midday, it wasn't too crowded. The staff were friendly and worked fast. I decided to make my own bowl and started with the black lentils, spinach, chicken, cucumbers, corn, spicy sauce and some other veggies and sauce. I was excited and a bit apprehensive with my bowl. The food here is delicious!! You may want to order online and pick up in store because if you go during prime lunch time hours, you will be waiting on a very long line!! The food always looks fresh but they are extremely careless and always out of specific items (from my first experience - there was no more falafel and I ended up with a bowl of whatever veggies were still available at the time). Ambiance was so hot, don't think the ac was working, waited 30min for them to take my order, and there was only 1 other person on line smh. The flavors are so good but this location packed my bowl less full than the location down by FiDi/ Soho when I ordered ahead. It's a lot of greek flavors- think chipotle but make it greek and healthy. I usually can't finish it all in one go so it is more than filling for the price you pay. First time going to this place today and it was a very sweet experience while I was waiting on the line I asked one of kitchen prep guys about the food and that I was a picky eater and he also gave great suggestions shout out to him (wish I had gotten his name to put him in my review) , once I got to the middle of ordering the servers were also sweet and patient (you guys practically hired angels to work for cava) the beverages were really good as well and although this may have been my first bowl, I can't wait to try more. It was just really cool to try a different cuisine for once and I'll definitely be returning. I also forgot the name of the manager. She was so kind and had the most wonderful smile. I was craving a falafel salad specifically today and I honestly didn't think that any restaurant would be able to really meat the craving. I randomly googled the closest falafel spot nearby and Cava came up and so I decided to go in since I didn't want to travel far. It was easy to order the directions are displayed in the screen- I got the mixed greens and lentil mix and then added spreads such as hummus and eggplant mash, added toppings of my choice and of course got the falafel as my protein. I was helped right away and it was a quick order, only thing was I had to make sure I was choosing the ingredients I really wanted today and I did a good job with my choices. Finally got the tahini sauce on top. It was around $14 bucks which wasn't bad at all. It bit the spot and I am satisfied! 5 in my books for service and taste. Coming back to the office earlier this year, I needed to discover some go-to lunch spots in the area. For one, it's a bit tougher than most locations with some of the more familiar names shutting down permanently due to COVID. CAVA was one of my early go-tos. Mediterrenean food is one of my favorite cuisines because it's very tasty and not super heavy. For me, the falafel bowls do the trick here. I always get myself the mix of the greens + grains. Spinach + black lentils are the best. Brown rice is not a bad option, but I've stuck to the former. From here, the other toppings are to the tastes of the beholder. For me, it's more about trying to avoid duplicating items. For example, the crazy feta is good, but I know I can get regular feta, so I'll go with the red pepper hummus instead. Before you leave, make sure you get some pita chips & pita bread too. This is a spot I highly recommend. read more

When there was a lone CAVA location in NY, I'd trek down to Union Square just to get my paws on one of their delightful, fresh, zesty, filling, Mediterranean bowls, thankful this D.C. based chain landed in my city. It was a star among the many fast casual bowl shops in the city catering to the office crowds, where you could get a filling and healthy meal for just about $10, a steal compared to the sometimes $15-$20 bowls that are typical in the city. Now that CAVAs are a dime a dozen in New York, some of the allure has worn off. But everytime I sink my teeth into one of their salads I feel better for it. The falafel somehow stays crispy, the vegetables are always fresh, and the sauces are very flavorful. I especially enjoy the harissa, which has a genuine kick to it, their sriracha Greek yogurt dressing, and I like to top my salad with a few noodle chips. A little indulgence on my otherwise healthy bowl. Though I haven't gone back to the office, I find myself craving my sad desk lunch that is the not so sad Mediterranean bowl from CAVA. 'Better than your sad desk salad' is a decent tagline, wouldn't you say? read more

Out of all of the "make your own bowl" places in Flat Iron (and there are a lot) this is one of the best. I've always been a huge CAVA fan but have never been brave enough to put up with the line that forms at this location come noon. I am sure it moves quickly, but it is seriously out the door. But I got here the other day at 11:30, and found a totally reasonable line that didn't exist the building, so I was game. It's pretty simple, pick how you want your food: In a bowl or on a pita, and then you just go down the line from there. I got a half arugula, half brown rice bowl with a mix of chicken and roasted veggies. The roasted veggies are such a great addition. It's a mix of Brussels Sprouts, squash, carrots and cauliflower. The lamb meatballs look amazing, but I haven't tried them yet. Next, you pick out a few dips. Tzatziki and eggplants are my go tos. Moving down the line, you pick a few toppings like feta, cucumbers, couscous, etc. and last but not least, dressing (always Greek vinaigrette). And there you have it, the perfect bowl! read more

First and foremost, CAVA is one of my favourite upper-level "fast-food" dining experiences. Ever since trying it out in DC for the first time, I haven't visited a Chipotle ever since. You just get so much more for your buck at a higher quality. This particular location is one of my go-to's whenever I'm in the city. The staff was extremely hospitable and patient, and the bathroom was really clean as well. I felt really taken care of on my visit here, and my bowl, as always, was fresh and combined with love. The only thing I'd note is that the staff wasn't always wearing masks while preparing the food -- however, NYC is relaxing mask-wearing regulations. This place is great! I came here for the first time while on my way to class and I needed something filling but also healthy to eat. They have a variety options to choose from and everything came out so delicious. I chose the rice with lentils, chicken, tzatziki, veggies, cabbage and diced cucumbers. I was nervous about how all of it was going to taste together but it was good I was surprised! I'm definitely going to add more options next time. Also the employees who work here were really helpful since it was my first time. I also just want to mention how the CAVA app is so convenient when trying to figure how many calories I am eating. It's extremely helpful and I like that I can pay with the cava app as well. I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the mood for something delicious and healthy. I've always loved Mediterranean food. The only thing I will say is that it's a bit pricey and I would hope to have gotten more food especially I wished they gave me more chicken and I felt the ratio of veggies to chicken was small. read more
