    KOBA Bowl

I've ordered pick-up from another of their locations twice and from here once, and both locations seem to suffer from having too many orders coming in and not enough staff to be able to keep up in a timely manner. When I ordered online for pick-up from here, the expected time the order was to be ready was 12:40pm but when I arrived at 12:40pm, it was far from ready. They had orders from people ordering for delivery, in-store pick-up, and from people ordering in the store for take-out and dine-in. The staff was struggling to keep up with all the orders that they couldn't even take a few seconds to address the people waiting for their orders wondering how much longer it would be. No one was outright rude at all, but limited ability to communicate with customers. I was patient and my order wasn't ready until almost 1:00pm. The food is delicious and I love that there are many vegan options that can be included in the KOBA Bowls. I'm definitely pretty full when I get through my food. I'm just not sure how willing I am to have to wait next time I order. I guess just don't come here during peak hours when you're in a hurry.

Really enjoyed - HUGE serving for what you're paying for and staff is super friendly. Great place for a solo dinner or quick bite since you order on a tablet yourself.

I came on a Saturday night around an hour before closing time, and it was basically empty. We sat down, and they had us order using a self-order kiosk. We ordered the fried dumplings, kimchi fried rice, and kimbap. Everything came out super fast. I have no complaints about the food, it was all solid. The dumplings were crispy and flavorful. The kimchi fried rice was also flavorful and spicy. I thought the prices weren't too bad. The place was nice, but casual. There isn't a ton of seating. If I lived around here, I could see myself ordering here often for takeout.

Good, plentiful food at a very reasonable price for midtown, with long opening hours and open on the weekend. Nice seating--they care about their decor even though it's a fast casual spot. They also have a generous set of discounts for students, military, etc. great service--quick, friendly, and the chef even came out to check on everything with each table on a Saturday afternoon. The need bulgogi was good and came in huge portions. The plates are nice, with 3 banchan and two sides. I wish they had japchae for banchan, or kimchi cucumbers--they only have cabbage or squash kimchi. Decent selection of beverages--some Korean soft drinks, and basic sodas and seltzer. The food was fresh but still ready within 10 minutes.

Such a delicious meal! I'm so glad I decided to stop by with a friend - we got the koba bowl and lunchbox set - the spicy chicken was delicious, service was incredibly kind, and there was plenty of seating. Can't believe it wasn't busier inside of there! I also love that they give you a little Korean dessert/snack included as well. tip: there's a discount if you use cash!

When I don't know what I get for lunch. This is my Togo spot to ubereats. It's healthy and not too heavy. I love getting the braised pork belly. So good. The veggie sides sometimes are meh. But everything else is very good.

The food is amazing! I ordered Ramen and Citrix Tea, and both were delicious. This was my first time visiting a Korean restaurant, and I really enjoyed the experience. The staff is extremely kind, especially Surya -- he understood my preferences and recommended great dishes. I truly loved the food, and I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. If you want it even shorter or more stylish, just tell me!

Finally fast traditional Korean chain is here ! Authentic Korean, quality ingredients and taste great, not overly sweet like some Americanized places. I tried the spicy squid, and I was not expecting much honestly but seasoning was spot on, not too spicy about too sweet, tender squid and generous amount. Honestly for the price the quality and taste was such a steal!! If this place was next to my office or home, would be perfect to go to kill Korean cravings. They were playing oldies Korean lol which was cute. They also give you small snack with your order or good old tiny yogurt drink, you know what I mean if you been to korean restaurant. Ordered bibimbap bowl and banchans were generous, great variety and the egg on top had perfect runny yolk. Will definitely mark this chain throughout the city, and will try other locations.

Quick Korean bites. The food was good - service fast. Clean and comfortable inside. Ordering is easy. At a kiosk or seated with iPads. Not a fancy place but great for lunch or a quick dinner. They also have desserts and drinks.

One of my favorite healthy lunch spots. One of the few places in the city that doesn't skimp out in portions *coughChipotlecough* Only $15 and lots of protein for the gains. The staff here is also always super friendly and welcoming

I work in the area and was roaming around looking for a unique and fun place to grab lunch. I had passed Koba a few times and decided to give it a try. This is a "fast food" either grab and go or dine in Korean BBQ joint. I love the concept but I think it's way over priced. Most workers are not trying to spend $18-25 on lunch. They are looking for the most delicious and best deal. There are many options in this area, I feel this is the most expensive and not the most delicious. Upon entering, I was greeted by a friendly worker who helped me with the menu. I ordered the beef fried rice. I had to ask 2 times if it was coming. It took over 30 minutes. Customers who had entered after me received their food fl before me. I ordered the fried rice because l felt it would be the quickest. It was extremely salty. Large portion so I was able to take home Tommy husband who ate it for another meal. I would give this place another try, but certainly not running back, especially not for a $20 lunch

The consensus is a solid 4/5 - well and truly edible. No misses and no fouls. Nothing is overly sweet or spiced. My tofu biwl could've used some additional flavoring of some kind, I'm not quite sure what, but something was missing. It was edible, quality ingredients, and very filling and good value for the price.

Yes to finding a good Korean restaurant near the office with tasty food. The Kalbi Short Ribs were tender and delicious. The spicy pork was perfect and a lot for a side order. I'm not complaining. I found my new Korean lunch spot!

The pork soup dumplings arrived literally spilling pink/red liquid that looked like blood. My mother had never tried soup dumplings before, so we were hoping for a fun experience, but she immediately spit it out. I brought it back and showed the staff the uncooked pork and the blood/red liquid on the napkin. They simply re-steamed them and brought them back except now there was no soup left inside the dumplings at all. The chicken teriyaki was tough and chewy, almost like jerky, as if it had been overcooked on an extremely hot grill or deep fried too long. The spring rolls were mediocre at best, with vegetables inside that had a mushy, paste-like texture. Very disappointing. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the rice. I was happy to see certain items on the menu were designated as vegetarian. If I lived in town I would come back and try all their veggie friendly options. The small order of veg dumplings was a very reasonable price and portion. I thought they were well stuffed with veggies. I was a little disappointed with the dumpling wrapper- i prefer a lighter softer wrapper. But overall I still ate it all, and it was a quick nice snack. My husband really enjoyed his orange chicken with rice and veggies. It was a huge portion- he was only able to eat half of it. Great value.

It was a Sunday, kinda packed, but luckily we snagged one of the high-top outdoor tables. I got my basic burger, fries and a Coke. The burger was good, but the FRIES. The FRIES are VERY impressive. Crispy, salty, TASTY. And the burgers are CHEAP by NYC standards. So anyway, I'm sold and this burger place is on my list now.

The setup inside this dimly lit restaurant had a bunch of steam tables offering various beef and chicken dishes, a handful of rice options, and a bunch of salads/fruits. Having no idea what we were looking at, we asked the friendly owner for some advice.
