Small spot but I feel like all little ruby locations are like that lol. Heard this spot had good pasta and they were right, it definitely didn't disappoint. Had the shrimp pasta, which was creamy but light, shrimp was cooked perfectly. Also had the pumpkin seed pesto pasta which was also spot on with the consistency of the sauce. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this spot to any pasta lover. Multiple locations in the city as well!

Came here for breakfast on a Friday morning. No wait which was nice, the wait staff was attentive and seem to share the responsibility. The food was just okay - a bit bland and meh. The pancakes were the best of the options we tried. If I would come back it might be to try a lunch burger but otherwise I won't race back.

Came in with a friend from out of country to try this spot because she said someone had recommended. The restaurant was packed when we got in on a weekday around 1pm. The staff said there will be a little wait. So we waited for a while. It was not long before we got a seat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is not as spacious, the seats were tight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a pasta dish and salad. The food was good. The staff is friendly.

Came for an Italian dinner, a friend of a friend suggested this establishment based on their experience - didn't realize there was a bunch of Ruby's all over Manhattan and one in Brooklyn. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small but quaint little eatery with barely any room to walk or squeeze by between tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food, presentation, and portion of the pasta dishes were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The shoestring fries were perfect not greasy for a finger dish. If I'm in other neighborhoods in the city and stumble upon a Ruby's I'll go in and try some of the other dishes on the menu. Service was good, the waitress checked in on us a few times not too much and not like to rush us either as it's a small place and there were people waiting.

Food is delicious! All employees are friendly and courteous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is small, but full of good anergy and good music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] -meat on bronte burger tastes premium, a bit sweet mayo -extra crispy french fires -double smashed party cheese burger: juicy and full of taste. I recommend this place

Little Ruby's has been on my list for the longest time and I was so happy to find out they opened a spot walking distance from Grand Central. If the subway is more your thing, it is a short walk from the 33rd street 6 train. My friend and I got a reservation on a Saturday afternoon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very small and we were seated fairly close to the front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This isn't the type of spot to frequent after shopping, leave your bags at home! Neither of us are the type to order an alcoholic beverage but we hadn't seen each other in a while and ordered one of the specials. The cider spritz was so refreshing! We decided to order the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and each of us ordered a pasta dish as our entree. All of them were excellent! We saved room for dessert and ordered the chocolate cake. A great way to end the night!

Since this place has the same name as my sister I had to go and try it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shrimp pasta was good and it was very busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's very interesting it's an Australian restaurant and they call it shrimps instead of prawns. Really can't wait to stop by when I am best in NYC my friend told me the bolognese is really good. They also serve Bundaberg my favorite Australian ginger beer.

We stopped here on a Monday morning. We chose this place because of the smaller portions, it's been so hot that our appetite hasn't been the greatest. They seem to have a pretty decent-sized menu, too. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside because of the heat. However, the indoor space is on the smaller side, and the table arrangement in the center felt a bit awkward. The host asked if we had a reservation, but the place was basically empty, so why even ask? We paid a little over $30 for a smoothie and an avocado toast, which felt way too pricey for the amount of food we received. On top of that, we were charged $8 for water. Had I known the cost, I would've ordered an iced coffee or another smoothie instead. Overall, we won't be coming back. There are better spots out there with more comfortable seating, better vibes, and more reasonable portions for the price. By the way, the avocado toast was just okay, nothing impressive or memorable.

This was so simple but so good .

Great place , good service the food was sooooo good that to add another soooooooo good !! I can't wait to come back here eat this again but this time just all by myself . The place is a little cramped but it's ok was worth it .

Always my favorite for the Bronte Burger. Juicy, tender, seasoned, and with sweet chili and the tang of mayo. It's my favorite burger in the world. I also always love to order the sweet potato fries (but sauces on the side to keep everything crispy!) I'm glad to see my favorite cafe expanding locations.

This review is specifically for the Big Breakfast because I eat it at every Ruby's location! I keep telling myself that I should diversify and provide a more accurate review, so I will update my review if I ever end up not being a creature of habit. I think the Murray Hill location makes fantastic use of the small space they have! However, if you come at a busy time, you will be able to hear your neighbors' conversations because the tables are very close together. The Big Breakfast ($20) comes with two eggs, bacon, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, baked beans, hash brown, and sourdough toast. Everything is flavored very well, especially the mushrooms and the beans. The hash brown has been perfectly fried every time I have it, though it needs ketchup. For the tomatoes, I prefer them without the stems, and have had mixed experiences with that execution. The last time I went here, the toast was also over-toasted and seemed to not have butter on it, so it was very dry. I just think this is such a filling, tasty, and balanced meal! Service at this location has always been welcoming! I have had people check in on me each time. They give you water, so they don't need to worry about water refills.

I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.

Opening in 2015 in the heart of Koreatown in Midtown Manhattan, the Korean restaurant, Her Name is…read moreHan, was a great place for my wife and me to come for lunch during our 2nd day in NYC. They have great reviews and it is definitely warranted. The restaurant has a solid website, giving accurate information about the hours and menu. It indicated that weekday lunch time would be a good time to try their value-based lunch menu, letting us sample some of their dishes. We walked over from our hotel just before their opening time of noon, and got in line just as they opened. It was a decent size queue, but the dining space inside was large, and everyone in line was able to be seated (including us). Our main server was Jiwoong, and she was lovely throughout. A carafe of tap water was provided with two glasses, so we could refill our own water (I love this about Korean restaurants...wish other restaurants did something similar). Multiple servers interacted with us throughout, and the beautifully prepared food was delivered exactly on time, with the proper temperature. We ended up ordering 4 things. The non-ipa beer on tap was Ball Lightning Pilsner ($9 for 12 oz) and it was OK. Fried Cod Appetizer ($15) - coming out first, the five chunks of lightly deep fried cod was OK, enhanced by the tartar like sauce. There are four choices from the Lunch Premium Bapsang (a set meal with rice, Japanese equivalent is Teishoku), and we chose two of them. I had the Grilled Atka Mackerel ($19), and my wife had the Spicy Pork BBQ ($21). Both came with white rice, a light bean sprout soup (decent), kimchi (not my favorite), a simple green leaf salad, 3 banchans (loved the fish cakes), some grapes, and a light custard based dessert (which was good). I liked my mackerel, well prepared and fried. The pork was indeed spicy with good flavor. Reading about the restaurant later, learnt that the name came to the founder, meaning two things. 'Han' represents a uniquely Korean emotion of mixed grief, sadness, and hidden resentment...we know that we shouldn't feel this way, but we feel a bit better that other Koreans feel it too. It is also the last name of the founder's mother (most Koreans keep their last name after marriage), so the name is an homage (that's what I read on their facebook page) to her. The restaurant is part of the Resy network, and thus using our AMEX provided a $20 statement credit (once a month...this is my favorite sort of credit since the credit is entirely funded by AMEX, and the restaurant gets their full charged amount).
