Even great as a left over reheated! $50+/- is expensive for lunch for 2 people with only 1 iced tea and a water and no dessert or appetizers but food is plentiful and great to reheat the next day. Our waiter is great! He knows his product, very friendly and courteous, timely with service and refills. Place is nice and clean.

I was more than excited when they opened up shop in my hood. This Halal Guys is located in a shopping center right off 288 but kind of hidden. I think a street facing space would benefit them. Parking is always plentiful. My visits here have always been pleasant with great customer service. Halal Guys is known for their famous platters of chicken and rice or lamb or beef and rice. They also have falafel if you want to go vegetarian. Now that they have brick and mortars, they have lots of other options like wraps, loaded fries, and wings. I never steer away from the OG platter. It comes with a base of seasoned rice, lettuce and tomatoes, protein of choice and their famous white and hot sauce. In the carts they slather the sauces on, but now you can get packs of sauce to dress your own. Be very careful with the hot sauce as it packs some delicious, but very spicy heat. You can also add additional toppings like peppers, onions, jalapenos and olives. The platters can look deceiving and may not look big, but you can easily have two meals off a regular platter. I typically go chicken for my protein, but you can't sleep on the beef gyro or lamb. Mix everything together and you have a perfect bite of deliciousness. I've had a few of their brick and mortar locations, but nothing compares to getting it from the food cart on the streets of NYC. These days, there is alot of similar type restaurants all over, but my heart belongs to Halal Guys. I will definitely be back.

It took a couple of asks to get cutlery and napkins. They only had a couple of place settings out. They were good about refills of chips and beverages, but the food took a very long time considering it was not that busy. My crew got a variety of different things so we really got a good sample of the menu. They have all your typical Tex Mex options. I had a taste for beef so I went with the carne asada and added the flameada topping which was chihuahua cheese and chorizo. The plate come out sizzing hot and was a pretty generous portion of skirt steak. It was served with fresh tortillas, rice and your choice of beans. The steak was a little on the tougher side but the flavor was on point. The addition of chorizo really elevated every bite. The rice and beans were good but they give really small portions of that. I ended up taking food home but without rice and beans. Everyone in my group seemed to like their food. I like that they really put thought into presentation of the plates as well. They have really good wine there which is what I was drinking. My friend had a couple cocktails and she said they were pretty good. I got the salmon and I was very pleased with it. They close pretty early though. We weren't even finished for drinks and didn't realize how early they close on weekdays but they did let us sit in the patio area to finish our drinks.

Washed it all down with some pink lemonade. The lemonade was, by the way bottomless. Am not sure if that was because it was happy hour or if its so always. They have limited vegetarian options, but pizza has a create your own version, and they did make our pasta vegetarian and even substituted the meat for a vegetable of choice. Overall, good experience. I would go back.
