I selected a ready-made chicken salad cup and proceeded to order more food at the counter. I requested a sandwich, potato soup with crackers, and two bags of potato chips. I was handed a paper sack and the cashier replied, "Thank you". I left the restaurant and drove home. Alas, there were no potato chips nor sandwich in the paper bag. I called the restaurant and explained the situation. The person answering the phone replied, "Let me check on that". I said that there was no need because I would not be driving back to the restaurant (because of the icy cold rain). This is an example of gross incompetence and a lack of consderation for customers. Who would have thought that chicken salad could be so tasty?! I didn't really care for chicken salad when I was younger, but it grew on me as I got older. I've been driving past this place for months and finally decided to stop by for dinner. I ordered from the drive thru. I had the The Chick and chose the Barbie-Q chicken salad (scoop) and a side of broccoli salad. The chicken salad was very good and flavorful. I love BBQ flavor and it did not disappoint. The broccoli salad was really good too! The dressing had a sweetness to it that went well with the savory flavor of the chicken salad. They gave me plenty of crackers for the chicken salad as well as a pickle spear (yum). And to my surprise, there was a buttercream sugar cookie which is one of my favorites! It tasted just like Cheryl's cookies which are basically crack cookies lol. I wasn't expecting a cookie so that was a nice surprise. The young man at the drive thru was so friendly! I explained that it was my first time ordering and he was really helpful. He suggested that I try the chicken tortilla soup next time which they have on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The lil frosted sugar cookie was such the needed pizzazz to this lunch. Now you had me excited to try the watermelon sweet tea but someone must've forgotten to put sugar in it....it wasn't sweet for my southern soul. A fast food restaurant specializing in chicken salad?? YES PLS. I first tried Chicken Salad Chick for the first time in Florida as a snack on the beach and I did not realize that it was a chain. Once I got home from that trip I immediately googled the nearest locations. Unfortunately the closest location is still a good hour drive away from me so when I was in the area I just had to stop to get some to go. I have not yet tried their meals while dining in but everything I have gotten to go has been fresh and delicious. My favorite chicken salad to get is the Sassy scotty. It reminds me of a BLT minus the L and the T. It has all the yummy things in it like bacon, cheese, and ranch and pair best with their butter crackers. Inside there is a good amount of seating with options for booths or tables. The service this time around was a little slow, but the workers were really kind and gave me a voucher for my next meal. They're very much worth your bang for your buck! The ones that I've tried and liked are: -Buffalo Barclay -Kickin' Kay Lynne -Barbie-Q If you like spicy, I definitely recommend the Kickin' Kay Lynne. That one is my personal favorite. It's not too spicy to where you can't handle it, but it does have a really nice kick. The Buffalo Barclay does taste a bit like the Buffalo wings, but it still tastes really good and isn't too overwhelming. I like to have the chicken salad in a croissant sandwich. I was disappointed today at Chicken Salad Chick. Normally, the service is great... I guess they were having an off day. I decided to try the chicken salad BLT, ordered it to go with the broccoli salad. I waited over 20 minutes for my order. They were very kind and checked on it often, but it still took way too long. I finally got to the car, and thankfully decided to check my order before I drove off. My chicken salad BLT did not have any bacon on it. I went back inside and politely explained, and they said they would take care of it, took my sandwich to the back and brought it back out to me. When I got to the car I checked again, they had added two half slices of refrigerator cold bacon. And a positive note, the broccoli salad was great. But overall, very disappointing service from one of my favorite go to lunch places. read more

I was extremely pleased to see that my soup and sandwich was not a half sandwich with soup but a whole sandwich with a very flavorful soup. Served as well with a slice of pickle and crackers and lastly a nice butter cream frosted cookie. The restaurant was very clean and standard for a sandwich shop. The service was friendly and attentive. The owners Clarke and Kim made sure that we were taken care of and enjoying our meal. They even offered us samples of their many other flavored chicken salads. I've been to Chicken Salad Chick a few times now and it's been consistently good. I typically get the The Chick combo with a Buffalo Barclay sandwich on croissant bread and a side of baked potato soup. This time around I got the Barbie-Q on wheatberry with a side of baked potato soup and an added side of broccoli salad. I was worried I would regret steering away from my usual. On the ride home I caught a whiff of really sweet smelling BBQ sauce. I don't typically like my savory food to taste sweet so I thought "great this sandwich is gonna have a sweet taste to it. I should've stuck with my usual." However I was pleasantly relieved with the first bite and pleased with each bite thereafter. It didn't taste sweet or sugary at all! Woohoo! Instead it had a nice smokey BBQ flavor and it was delicious! I love this place so much and I wish there were more of them around the Houston area. This is my little family's favorite place to grab lunch! My husband and I always settle on the Fancy Nancy which is sweet and savory and so delicious on a croissant. The broccoli salad has become my most favorite side dish ever. I could eat this by itself and be just fine. Crispy fresh broccoli topped with bacon, cheese and some miracle whip. My toddler loves the uncrustables with the buttercream flower cookie on the side. However, what was suppose to be the main star what was the biggest disappointment. Ordered the fancy Nancy & wasn't really all that fancy. Just had whole massive uncut grape , 2 chunks of apples, and really no pecans to be found. The flavor itself was very bland & a real disappointment :( The sides itself were better than the sandwich but not by much . Both the potato soup & pasta salad were what you expect. Solid & standard but nothing super special. The main demographic that comes here are mostly elderly so you could imagine how this place is probably more suited for older people with a simple palate. read more

I've been seeing all of the cars in the drive-through and heard about it on the neighborhood app so went to check it out.....here we go. Pulled up and there was three cars in the driveway before you get to the menu. Took about 17 minutes. Got to the menu and ordered. Waited another 10 minutes to pull up to the drive-through window. After I paid I still wait another 15 minutes at the window. They were all standing around looking towards the kitchen. Once my order was done she gave me a cookie and said sorry for the wait. She said the order didn't go to the back for some reason. Got home and my order was wrong!!! Ugg. I thought they would have gotten the kinks out that's why I didn't go as soon as they opened the first day. Food was good but if you have to go through all of that who wants to go back right? Tried for the second time and it seemed like it was opposite of what I experienced last time. Line was long and slow for drive thru. Not sure why since that little area inside the checkout has so many employees. There is no reason someone should have to wait 30 min in drive thru for chicken salad. I would have reversed and left but I was stuck between the building and was not going to hop the median. Ordered the classic carol which was a huge mistake since it had absolutely NO salt and pepper and was basically chicken/Mayo and I'm not exaggerating. The Olivia's old south was better due to the pickle inside. The pasta salad was very good. If you have dietary restrictions then classic carol is the way to go since it has absolutely no flavor.
