Opa bowl for me, and a large lentil soup with baba ghanoush and the pittance of lemon potatoes
    Michael M.

The flavor was fine and service was great, but I've never been so insulted by food before. We've been to Portara before and enjoyed it, though we know we need to be careful of unexpected dairy on the menu. Nice atmosphere and just off Pearland Pkwy so easy to get to, and we had a pretty nice/helpful waitress to boot. The recipes were generally fine enough, though wouldn't recommend the lentil soup (very odd flavor for a Greek place). BUT. You may have left the restaurant a little hungry before - maybe you were especially famished walking in, or shared a little too much with your family. But have you ever ordered a side of potatoes and gotten...three slices (and a nub, thrown in as an afterthought)? I guess this is for the discerning customer who wanted the side, but not really? Thanks for making that discerning choice for me! Or maybe for someone that wanted that child-sized taster portion of potatoes. Oh but wait! For 5 bucks, you TOO can get "8 oz" of spuds in all its starchy glory. It's a shame - the fry job is done well. But given the midget handful of greens on the Opa bowl, I guess the economy is rough on all of us. Seriously guys, I don't think it used to be this bad guys. Fix your portions or fix your prices, sheesh.

Outstanding!! If there was one word to explain it. It's outstanding! I have been twice in a 10 day period. I'm obsessed. The quality is amazing. So many authentic dishes that you could just tell were made with fresh ingredients and made with love, and not crap off some Sysco food truck. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming and clean. The servers are knowledgeable and provide great attention to customer service. We will be back again and again. Here is what I reccomend so far: Greek salad with Honey Harissa Chicken, the tzatziki and the baba ganoush, the kebab dinner, the fried cheese, the spanakopita and the pita is delicious too. I've got to go back and try one of the bowls and the lamb burger... Don't let the unsuspecting outside of the building fool you. Step inside and be happy!

Thai is a small restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. Hubby had a pita sandwich and I had the opa bowl. Both were delicious as as the baklava cheesecake we shared. So good. We will be back.

I love Mediterranean food and it's hard to find really good ones. This place did not disappoint. I just happened to drive by and see it and decided to give it a try. I got the dip trio and tried the chipotle hummus, regular hummus and tzatziki. They were are really good, the chipotle was my favorite. I also got the moussaka croquettes and they were really good as well. I think a tad of became would've made them perfect. Needless to say I am excited to have found this place because it is close to home. Service was very quick and very friendly. They are sister restaurants to Taglia (which I love too) so their rewards program intertwines. It's a small little restaurant in a shopping center. I can't wait to go back!

Hands down best hummus we ever had! Service was perfect, and the ambiance is very Greece like vibes. We're definitely returning

Atmosphere was great. Food was delicious. Got the trio dip and switched one to babagneush. Also got the lamb burger, kids chicken, cod, gyro bowel. All amazing

We shared a tasty gyro bowl and a gyro pita. The gyro bowl came as a salad with gyro meat. My gyro pita had fresh purple onions and tomatos and lettuce and tzatziki sauce, and french fries. It could have used a smidge more tzatziki sauce but still awesome.

We dropped in after a long day. We were greeted warmly with great smiles. The restaurant was clean and bright. Comfortable. The menu has a variety without being overwhelming. They also have a few thing that others don't-like octopus . The dolmas, spanakopita and Baba Ganoush was wonderful. The gyro lamb pita was yummy! And they have wine at very reasonable prices. We got there 30 minutes before closing and they treated us well. We never felt rushed to leave, even after they were officially closed. Lots of parking and easy access to main streets. I live North but I will be back. Really enjoyed it! Thank you!

Octopus dinner with grilled veggies and side salad.

What a hidden gem! I was in town with two coworkers for one night and we came here based off good Yelp reviews. It was a Monday night, which is historically slow, so there was only one other table in the small restaurant. The space is small but clean. The menu has a good variety and prices are good. We ordered the hummus for the table as an app, along with an extra side of pita bread. For dinner, I ordered the octopus dinner (comes with grilled veggies and lemon potatoes) and subbed the potatoes for a side salad. My coworkers each ordered gyros and subbed the fries for side salads. The food came out quickly and was delicious!!! We all really enjoyed our meals. The side salad was a small Greek salad and was excellent. I even had a really good portion of octopus. I definitely recommend this place and will make it a point to come back any time I'm in town.

With the assistance of the yelp app, we called bars and restaurants sitting in the Denny's off of Woodridge drinking regular coffee. Finally, a lovely young lady picked up the phone, "Cooter Brown's." We had to take detours because the highways were closed too. I already mentioned Texas was closed. Mind you yelp said it had two reviews. I told him, "You know they are probably the owner's friends." The parking lot was empty in the front. How did the bartender get here? When we walked in to my surprise there were a handful of folks all playing darts. They have a back entrance and that's the door the regulars use. Beer only dive bar, doesn't usually suit my fancy, but this one did. They had plenty of Smirnoff in several flavors. We played few rounds of pool and enjoyed plenty of cool music from the jukebox. Everyone there was friendly, even the dude who caused a ruckus and was banned from ever going back during her shift. (Talkative on his way in, but didn't say anything to us on his way out.) Michelle the bartender took great care of us, she was in a great mood for having to work on TX Ice-pocalypse 2017. Cheers to cold, I want to see you weather, and a FUTUREcast of the sniffles. Going out in that cold weather was not a bright idea *sneeze* but going to Cooter Brown's is...

We were looking for a place to grab a drink after a Taco Tuesday meet up and came across Two Dogs on Yelp. Driving up, it was clear that it was a dive. I love a good dive bar, but I honestly didn't know what to expect walking into this establishment. It was a Tuesday, so it wasn't terribly busy. There were some gentlemen playing pool and one of them looked up for a second, then smiled and kept playing. At that moment, I knew we would be fine lol. We were immediately greeted by the bartender (I believe her name was either Tish or Trish). She was very friendly and explained that they only have beer, however you are able to bring in bottles of whatever alcohol you like. I was happy to see a decent craft beer selection and opted for a Crawford Bock. You're also allowed to bring in food. Seating is plentiful at various tables around the bar. At one point, the bartender asked if we needed the air to be turned down because the draft was strong. She was extremely hospitable! They normally have pool tournaments on Tuesdays, but that day they didn't. That may have been why it was super chill. It was a nice way to end our Taco Tuesday.

I parked right in front of the dive bar. Ambiance (3.5/5): You should look at Two Dogs Saloon through the lens of what's its meant to be: a casual dive bar. That means no frills. There's plenty of room in the bar and there was A/C. There's seating at the bar and a good number of tables outside of that. There's also an area with two pool tables and darts. Service (4.5/5): The bartender working was friendly and chatted us up. It was a Tuesday so it wasn't busy but she took good care of us. One pet peeve though: they don't give you an itemized receipt when you pay. I could have asked for one, and I should have, but this is something that should be standard everywhere. Food (N/A): While they don't have food, they allow you to bring your own. There's a Mexican restaurant right by the bar and they have a menu at the bar to make things easy for you. Drinks (4/5): No liquor, this is a beer type of joint. The beer list isn't terribly impressive, mostly your run-of-the-mill. Crawford Bock is what stood out to me out of the options they have. With that being said, the beers are fairly priced so that's a plus. Overall: Bar options in Pearland are limited, especially bars that are open late. If you're looking for a drink at a casual spot with affordable prices, Two Dogs Saloon makes for a good choice. They also have happy hour specials earlier in the day.
