I stopped by Cava for a very early lunch. I will admit that I dropped by this location because it seemed to be the only spot in the shopping certain that was open around 10:45/11 am on a Saturday morning. Since I was not too creative, I went with the Chicken and Rice bowl. The bowl was served with grilled chicken, tzatziki, hummus, feta, Persian cucumber, tomato, pickled onion, and arugula. I thought the serving size of bowl were very generous, and the portion was large enough for one large meal or two small meals. The cost of the bowl was about 13 bucks, which I did not think was too bad compared to other places in the area. The restaurant was very clean. Although I did not take advantage of it, I was quite impressed that the restaurant had a large patio area for outdoor dining. Overall, I thought the staff was very nice, helpful and patient. Went back Cava recently and had a delicious bowl with a free birthday drink as a reward. I love my Mediterranean foods so opted in for 2 different hummuses, chickens and a whole variety of vegetables. I did a walk in order. The line was short and staff were quick in making my order. The produce also looks really fresh so that's a plus. It was slightly crowded since I went during lunch time but there was still seating available in the store. It's a casual, healthy fast food restaurant so good for needing a quick bite. The parking situation can get slightly chaotic but there's a decent amount of spots to park at. read more

This location is conveniently located directly off of Rockville Pike. Parking is relatively easy due to a parking lot reserved for the few eateries within the small strip. The food is tasty and on par with other Cava locations, however portions seemed to be on the smaller side. The service was efficient, but not overly friendly. The staff was made up of younger staff members, so it was the kind vibe that one should not necessarily take their indifferent attitudes too personally. But one star deduction for the smell of garbage upon entering the establishment. The restaurant was not busy, and there was plenty of staff standing around. They may have been nose blind to the scent, but its hits you when walk through the doors, and can be off putting when hoping to order food. This Cava's used to be one of the best around. However, my last FEW visits have been terrible. Let me tell you why. They no longer give you enough rice. The first scoop of rice, they shake half of the rice off the spoon as well as with the second scoop. When you ask for greens with rice, they fill your bowl with the greens and the rice they give you barley covers the leafy greens. They also over pack your bowl with vegetables to make the bowl appear full. Oh, and if you ask for more rice, now they charge extra. I know times are hard for everyone right now, but nobody wants to pay 12+ dollars for a bowl of vegetables. read more

I have not been eating out much lately, but I decided to try this place on a whim, and I am so happy I did. I had the grains and greens bowl, and it was delicious! First, you select either a bowl or pita (think wrap or salad) and start by adding your choice of protein, vegetable, or grain. Protein choices include grilled chicken or lamb; there is a vegetarian option for falafels or a sweet potato vegetable thing. What an Awesome Cava location. I had a Cava bowl that was filled with so much life and colorful veggies. Plant life gives you life and gives energy. Eating a Veggie bowl have improved my circulation and overall health. I lost 10 pounds Eating a bowl 2 times a week and excercing lightly. The staff at the Rockville location "Rock"!! They are alway smiling and have a positive spirt. Their energy and great customer service always keep me coming for more. I must mention that this location are staffed with mostly female employees. I called the number in the confirmation e-mail, and they even had an extension to dial (4) for curbside pickup so their crew members know what type of call it is. That's cool. My food was ready and bagged up and delivered to me by a friendly crew member within 30 seconds. I got like two meals worth for $13, but I totally devoured about 90% of it in the parking lot and thought to myself, what have I done, what have I become? COVID has made me give fewer damns about being gluttonous. It was just so so good. Every single ingredient down to the lettuce was perfect. The last bite was as scrumptious as the first. We love CAVA as a family. Went to this location last week and as always, the food is consistently great. Service was pleasant and quick and the place is clean. Husband and I always get the rice bowl with chicken and several of their delicious dips. Always get extra dill yogurt dressing but they also have a mild garlic dressing that is also great. Their layout is similar to other cava locations. The food is fresh, but customer service was a bit spotty. The cashier at the time charged me extra when I didn't order extra items. Luckily, the manager was there to refund me the difference. They do have plenty of tables here if you decide to eat inside. Last night I enjoyed some delicious food. I was able to build my own delicious bowl with their fresh ingredients. I'd love to walk you through the process, but sadly the process was a jumble for me. You see it was my first time there. I saw the the signs, understood the process, but the ingredients were unfamiliar to me. Of course, I asked the staff for help. That's logical, right? They was no line to speak of, still they were impatient. I didn't notice a name tag on the lady who didn't tell the names of ingredients and hurried put the ingredients in. The receipt shows the name of he cashier, who actually helped in the end. The cashier added dressing that was left out by the disconnected server as that server just laughed. Even at 9:30 pm there was somewhat of a wait to order food as they seemed busy and/or short-staffed. They were also out of several items as well as napkins. However, the deal-breaker for me was seeing a mouse scurry from under the dispenser with the napkins and utensils after a staff member went there to replenish the napkins. The mouse scurried to a little hole between the ground and the window (near the door), ran outside, then tried to return and finally ran away again. CAVA is AMAZING!!!! If you live in Gaithersburg area like me there is one in Shady grove and this one in Rockville. The easiest way to describe this place is a HEALTHY version of Chipotle. They have the line up like chipotle does where you get white or brown rice, lentils and 3 hummus/ sauce, chicken/veggies and other fixings. This place also serves soup and they give you pita instead of a tortilla. You can order a bowl or the pita with all the stuff inside. When I first when in, I have no idea what to order. I felt SO out of place! I walked out and then went to honeyglow next to Cava and that place had me even more confused! lol I went back to Cava and the line got longer. So it was a given. Cava is the place to be! I looked at the menu to help me pick my options and then I just winged it when I went through the line to order. If you are scared to try new things, order the classic hummus, red pepper hummus on the side of your bowl. They will put everything on the side. This place is a little pricey. Nifty salad place where folks can custom build with greens and/or grains. Add proteins and toppings and whatnot... add pita and other nifty additions. All for a fair price (approx $12 or so per salad). I love CAVA. There are different spreads and dips as well as a wide variety of protein which include chicken, braised beef, lamb, and falafel. Cava caters to all individual whether you're vegan, vegetarian or just hungry. After eating the meal your created you can wash it down with a juice they have as fountain drinks. I always love their classic lemonade cause I'm basic. Atmosphere, customer service and staff are always excellent. If you haven't tried Cava yet, I highly suggest it! I love CAVA and this location! The employees are always friendly and even when there is a line, I always get through it fast. Their food is delicious. I especially enjoy the roasted vegetables that they have during the Fall and Winter. I'll be sad when they go away. If you've never been to CAVA, it had the "Chipotle model" where you choose what goes in your bowl. It's Mediterranean based foods but you can get a grains bowl of rice and lentils or a greens bowl with different types of lettuce. You then choose proteins, dips, veggies, and sauces! I especially love their Green Harissa sauce. They say it's spicy but it's not that bad. They have an app where you can link it to your credit card and pay there as well as earn points.
