First, I would like to say that I accidentally stumbled across this place and am SO glad I did!!! Located in Montrose Crossing and tucked between Cava and Five Guys, this is such a gem!!! Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by the staff working. The restaurant was clean and it smelled great. Once I approached the counter, the staff worker came from around it and guided me on how to order. She even took the time to walk me through how to work the pad and how to explore all of the stir fry options. She even let me try 2 of the sauces! They had menu items that were ready for ordering but I chose the create your own option. They provide healthy options such as brown rice or whole wheat noodle options. For anyone vegetarian, creating your own will likely be the way to go. I'm not sure if there are vegans options there (I may have overlooked it). They even have dessert options! To wash down your meal, I would highly suggest getting the strawberry guava lemonade! It wasn't too sweet and super tasty! My bowl was great. It was fresh and was in a hefty portion. They also of course have take out options. I recommend this spot 100%!

Never had a bad experience at honey grow and this time did not disappoint! I always go for their stir fry since I have a lot of salads and I think the stir fry is more unique. I'm pretty sure I got the garlic butter and my boyfriend got a custom bowl but both were delicious! We tried getting a parfait and I don't know if we messed up the order but it ended up just being fruit and no yogurt...oh well the fruit was still good! The staff were really friendly at this location and it's super spacious inside so there was lots of seating.

Came on for lunch today. Order from a kiosk, which displays pics of the entrees and allows for easy modifications to the salad and stir-fry options. I ordered the Cold Sesame Noodle salad and my partner got the Chesapeake Crab. We didn't order any modifications from the main ingredients. The food was prepared quickly and I received a text when the meal was ready. We were sitting outside and I started walking in to get the food, but a Staff person was already delivering the tray with a smile on her face. Very welcoming and appreciated. My entree was terrific. Very large portion with 8 decent-sized shrimp and a bunch of ingredients, including pineapple, edamame, crunchy fried onions and egg-white noodles. Really delicious. My partner really enjoyed their crab dish. I saw lots of crab in the bowl and the Old Bay flavor was prominent. Seating outside and inside is comfortable. The inside is well lit. There's a soda machine for fountain drinks, allowing for unlimited refills. My one criticism about the meal is that the salad, which is large, comes with a single small cup of salad dressing on the side. The dressing itself is very good, and I would have liked a second one. But that would have been an extra charge. I feel like that's nickel-and-diming. It's a large salad and, for $15.25, they could spring to offer a second container of dressing. I'm not going to knock off a whole point on the score for that, but if I could, I would knock off a half-point.

i'm not sure how I missed this place but I definitely hope we can get one near me and Frederick. This place was amazing. I was able to go to the kiosk and place my order myself. Which I enjoyed because it gives the staff more time to pay attention to the details of making the orders. It was very clean and well kept. I love the customer service of the staff they brought over the food to the table and we're very polite. Loved all the options for food and was super impressed with the dessert options. it was a nice touch to have a restaurant provide customers with informational where food was sourced from and into habit where customers can get easy access.

That's incredible! I previously went to another Honeygrog and they gave me food with onions, and I'm allergic. Today I wanted to give them another chance, and it was truly the best decision. This Caesar salad with pasta was exquisite, and the service and atmosphere were excellent. Thank you, Mary, for coming over to ask how the food was. This will be my favorite restaurant, and I'll come here every time I want to eat.

CYO Stir-Fry in Spicy Garlic Sauce

Friend raved about honeygrow multiple times, I finally gave in wanting to see what's the hype about. OK, so definitely not disappointed, ordered thru UberEats and went in for pick up. Clean and inviting dining area. I may come dine out another day with the Fido :) A little mix up in the beginning that they don't have my order, but I think it was only because I put it for scheduled a bit later. Feel sorry though for the person who's giving the person at the register a hard time :(... but not going there. Ordered CYO Stir fry with spicy garlic sauce, whole wheat noodles (trying to be healthier.. haha), kale, turkey meatballs, onions, edamame and added some pineapple topped with cilantro and toasted sesame seeds. Overall yummy, proven by I am usually not one to finish whole meal in one sitting, in this case yep all gone..Whoops! It was delish, so I will def come to try their CYO salad or maybe old bay stir fry next time!

I got the stir fry with egg white noodles, scrambled eggs, jalepenos, bell peppers, pine apples, and cilantro.

Think overall, the restaurant probably sat around 50 people. I was recently reminded of the spot from an Instagram reel, and realized that I have been here a couple years ago. The noodles themselves are made from scratch and you can actually depending on why you should sometimes see them tossing stretching and throwing the noodles, which is always fun. I ordered the Lanzhou noodles which was good and creamy/gravy like. It is not for everyone which are waitress warned us about, but it is their traditional style. I didn't think it was that bad but the veggies were definitely a lot softer, and it was interesting to try. I next time probably follow the recommendation of the waitress and go with the oil spill bowl or soup. Some of these noodles come with already pre-set type of noodle like the Lanzhou but some of these suits you can choose the noodle that goes in like the beef noodle soup. You can choose a wide noodle or a dinner noodle or a regular type or extra wide. My friend ordered the oil spill one and that one was definitely a bit more flavorful than mine. Definitely trust your waitress she knows what is typically good. Another friend tried the spicy lamb sandwich, which was quite similar to Xian famous foods. Spicy in those flavor and a little kick. As for our greens, we ordered a side of cucumbers that were smashed in flavored a little bit, I think it could've used a little more salt or maybe take out a little bit more of the moisture before seasoning so that the cucumbers can take on more of the flavor. Overall, great place to go; was a little sad though we didn't have any piano performances, but it definitely was starting to get a little bit more crowded and lively around seven on a Sunday

Was feeling hangry because I had planned on stopping at Hard Times for a bowl of chili -and found out they were closed on Mondays. So, pretty much pulled a name out of a hat and would up at Chuan Tian Xia because, well, Szechuan cooking uses chiles, no? Yesssss! I ordered Signature Dumplings and a bowl of Beijing-style Beijing-style Zhajiang Noodles. The dumplings were outstanding: a mix of shrimp, pork, and chive that were plump, juicy, fragrant with the herbaceous flavor of chives. The accompanying sauce was not too sweet, not too hot, just right as a complement to the dumplings. Yowza. I was a happy camper... ...and then I dug into my noodles. Double yowza! Thick wheat noodles topped with a rich sauce made from (I think) fermented soybean paste and braised pork belly, garnished with cucumbers. The portion was way to big for me to eat after my flight, but I really, really enjoyed it (and the remaining dumplings) for lunch today. Did I say yowza? I'm an adventurous eater so the menu's less Americanized items were what I would have ordered given more time (like Maoxuewang: can you say "pig's tongue, spam, pork intestine, and beef tripe"? Protein is protein, baby!). Just means I need to come back, and I will, as quickly as I can.

But then by chance I saw someone refer to Mala Canteen on Reddit and the rest as they say is history. We came for lunch on a weekend and had no trouble getting a table. We noticed the vast majority of the clientele is Asian which we took as a good sign. We ordered the cumin lamb burger, orleans chicken skewers, and a custom dry pot with shrimp, fish ball, bok choy, tofu skin, peanuts, and sweet potato noodles. We ordered mild spice knowing this would be very relative; it was. Their mild would be intolerably hot for most Marylanders but was slightly less hot than what I had been making at home. It was about an "Indian medium", and I suspect even "baby spice" is pretty hot. This is not a dish to order if you do not have STRONG heat tolerance. You have been warned. We also ordered a couple milk teas, mine was rose milk. It was the best rose milk tea I have had in several years. 5 stars for sure. Everything was delicious. I'm not sure why they called the Orleans chicken skewers "Orleans" but they had a good amount of seasoning, though it didn't scream Cajun nor Szechuan. It screamed delicious though. I think I could make a meal of these; perfectly textured and super flavorful, not spicy but very savory. The cumin lamb burger is a different form factor from an American burger; it is chunks of cumin lamb in a pita shaped Chinese flakey pancake. Can you say YUM? Yum!!! The dry pot was very similar in flavor profile to what I have had before, and the portion is absolutely sharable. We shared all this food and got several lunches out of the dry pot leftovers particularly. The bean curd skin is not fried, I wasn't sure whether it would be or not. The shrimp comes head and shell on, which isn't ideal, and the texture of the shrimp meat was mushier than I usually see. So I might choose something else in future. The fish balls were very good though. Maybe I'll try steak or pork next time. Scallops sadly weren't an option, I usually make it with those. All in all, highly recommended especially since it is hard to find dry pot in restaurants locally, but I loved all the other items just as much. Prices very reasonable given quality and portion sizes. Service was good. I will be back!

A solid spot for sharing with a group, and I'd happily return to explore more of the menu. I really wanted to love this place. The soup dumplings are among the better ones in the area. While the wrappers aren't as thin or chewy as the very best, you can tell they're handmade, and I'll always appreciate that. I'd recommend sticking with the pork soup dumplings since they were rich, savory, and full of umami. The crab version unfortunately didn't have any noticeable crab flavor and tasted almost identical to the pork. The duck came in a generous portion and is a great choice for anyone who enjoys sweeter flavors. The watercress was fresh and plentiful, but it could have used much more garlic. We ended up adding the wonton chili oil and dipping it for extra flavor. The cucumber was delicious, but the portion was way too small. The bean curd was cooked well, though there wasn't enough pork for a dish that was supposed to feature it. The fish was another highlight with light spice, a crispy exterior, and perfectly cooked, tender meat. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more dishes. I enjoy the home-style cooking, and it's the kind of restaurant that's especially fun to visit with a larger group so you can sample a variety of dishes.
