Family-owned business operated with pride and delivered to customers with warmth and authenticity! We were not expecting this wonderful, lively restaurant in the the Kensington commercial strip at Plyers Mill & CT Ave. It's spacious with great seating and an interior that makes you proud to be Greek. We were fortunate to come for dinner on Thursday and catch Achilles playing some traditional Greek music - a real treat for us which only added to the high qualify cuisine. (As other reviewers have noted, this place can be busy, so plan to enjoy the ambience as your warm food is being made). Our 2-top ordered (huge) beef Gyros and shared a large hot plate of crispy fries. Flavors are good and food was fresh -- just what we wanted from this authentic Greek experience.

Been waiting for this place to open ! I live in the Kensington area and am so amazed at the diversity in cuisine. The restaurant is easy to find, parking is around the back. Could be better lit, but it is ample. Upon entering, the restaurant is clean, well lit and simple yet elegant aesthetic. Plenty of space too, was not expecting that! They even have a lovely outdoor sitting area. I had read through the menu before arriving so I could have an idea of what I wanted to try. They have ample variety and a whole bar too. I was greeted by two gentlemen working at the counter. They were both so friendly. I asked about a couple items and they were able to explain what each item was and gave me a couple recommendations. I ordered a chicken gyro meal (comes with a drink and fries), spanakopita, and a dessert. I wasn't sure what dessert to try but the gentleman was able to give me some suggestions. Got my order in about 12 minutes. Brought it home and opened it up right away! Gyro tasted fresh, well seasoned and just yummy! Fries were warm and well seasoned, I forgot to grab my drink which I was disappointed by, but nothing I'd personally make a fuss over. I did not get to try the dessert yet. But I can't wait to try it ! (Sorry can't remember the name! Looks like it's a custard type of dessert with pastry dough on top). Overall I was very satisfied. I didn't think I'd finish my meal but I sure did ! Can't wait to go back and try more items !

I stopped in to get dinner with my dad yesterday and wanted to try this place since it new to the area. It wasn't hard to find parking because the restaurant was not super crowded and there were spots available behind the restaurant. We decided to sit outside after we ordered since the weather was nice. I had the chicken souvlaki pita value meal and it was a large portion. The staff was friendly when we ordered and someone even came by to check and see how everything was after we started the meal. I will definitely be back and would recommend this location if you like Greek / Mediterranean food and are in the area!

It took 30 minutes to get a mediocre meal.....Beware of the wait time. It wasn't even busy.

First time visiting this restaurant, gyro meat was dry, skimpy sauce. I've had far better elsewhere!

Little pricey but it deserve and the portions are hugeee anyway so I made my lunch today with the left overs! If its weekend you can wait little long, but it deserve again:) İ really like the pea soup with hot dog. My Greek omlette was tasty. The sandwich is good, bread and everything the way they make. The best thing is the The deli meats they put inside, pastrami, turkey breast, tongue... Aaand I also tried something sweet from the bakery part! It was good too. I like it, I will finish it with my coffee, after my lunch.Maybe they have to add a few thing which made my dairy products... A bit light things:) I only didn't like the coffee. It was bitter and like old taste... Ambience was good.especially when they made the temperature I like the place. It wasn't cold at all. Normally in America they put the AC on. Never check the people if they are cold or not! The temperature was ideal... I think I have to visit the place more often

I loved every bite. I just wish I would have known to get it toasted. The regular white bread isn't doing it for me but that's minor. Tuna 8/10 The tuna was prepared really well, the crunch from the bread and the softness from the tuna was a great combo. The only thing I would change is some more seasoning on the tuna would push it over the time for me.

I really liked that the condiments came separately so each guest could schmeer as much or as little as they wanted. (Or in my case, purist that I am, avoid altogether). There was also a bountiful assortment of pickles, so necessary for rounding out the sandwich with a nice acidic snap! I recommend.

We were seated immediately and had water brought to our table. Menu was extensive, with overstuffed sandwich classics like Reubens and clubs, salads and classic fare like knishes and lox. They also serve breakfast all day. I had the grilled veggie wrap. It came with homestyle potato chips. My companion had a tuna melt (solid albacore) with pepper jack cheese on an English muffin (also with chips). Both portions were huge. The veggies were still crunchy but cooked thoroughly (zucchini, squash, peopers and onions) with red pepper hummus stuffed in a huge burrito style spinach tortilla. Comfort food done well. As a bonus there was a pickle bar of half sour, full sour pickles, cornichons, sauerkraut and pickled peppers. Favorites were the half sour pickles and sauerkraut (went well with the wrap). Great meal!

The Castellano had a crisped pile of gorgeous beef, with crispy fries, and super fresh veggies (basically a cheeseburger on a sub). My husband ordered this one, so I didn't taste it personally but he absolutely LOVED it. The Thommy, The Three Fingers is a chopped cheese. It's, by god, the best I've ever had in my life. I add peppers, provolone and mayo and an extra side of tzatziki (labeled garlic cucumber on the menu), and oil and vinegar (which tastes like Italian dressing, but who's counting?). The bread is phenomenal. I may literally just order a sub roll with no ingredients one day, just so I can eat it toasted with butter, with every meal I have. It's soft and fluffy, crispy and chewy all at the same time. (It almost gives bagel, but not tough). I also got the y cheesecake. Not as special, perhaps from the Cysco truck (iykyk), but I still bought it and scarfed it down. Strawberry topping was def the average canned-strawberry topping (but I personally love that). I cannot stress, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! As for service, the entire team is so friendly and helpful. They kid around, make silly jokes and make sure your order is prepared fresh and fast. It isn't "fast food fast", but also doesn't taste like shit either, so the wait is worth it. At most 10-15 min if you don't call ahead. As for seating, in winter there are only two two-tops so seating is extremely limited. It is mostly a deli-and-get-outta-here kind of place, but nonetheless welcoming and charming. They have tons of Italian memorabilia all over the walls including giant GodFather posters, taxi plates and more. Today was my first time inside, but I've had my husband go pick up food several times on the way home. I cannot live without one of these subs AT MINIMUM once a month.
